Tifa closed the bar for the night. It was weird that she had made more money than usual on this typical day. It wasn't a surprise either because it was New Year's Eve. Some lonely men would come over and drink with their “drinking buddies” in the small bar. The place was a mess after they had all gone. No one was their to clean it up except her. Tifa felt really tired after serving them more drink one after another, but there had to be somebody to clean it up. She started for the janitor’s room and grabbed a mop and a portable bucket of water. She mopped the floor till clean and shiny for the next day. She cleaned the tables and chairs properly so the place didn’t have to look like it was before. Finally she fixed the wine racks and washed the glasses or mugs poured with alcohol. While wiping the counter, she hummed to the tune of “Interrupted by Fireworks”. She glanced at the clock on the wooden wall and smiled. It was two hours away from the New Year, but she had no one to celebrate with. Cloud hadn’t come home from Barret’s New Year’s Eve party. Everybody else was there except her. She had to take care of the bar. It didn’t really matter now. I wonder if they’re gonna be fireworks this year. She thought to herself, Silly me! Of course! They do that every year! She locked the entrance of the bar and went up the stairs connected to her apartment made just for her, Cloud, and Barret. Originally it was also Jessie’s, Biggs, and Wedge’s, but it was different for those three.

Tifa plopped herself down on the bed very exhausted from the busy night. She closed and rested her eyes. She needed to relax with a hot, warm bath. So undressed herself, wrapped her nude body around a towel, filled the tub with hot water,and went right in. The circulating warmth soothed her skin to the bone. She closed her eyes and relaxed a bit deeper into the tub.

Cloud walked down the hall to his room of the building. He stopped to look at Tifa’s door. It was too bad that she hadn’t gone to the exciting party. He had some fun, but Tifa would have spiced it up a bit. She was always very active during parties. He plopped down on his bed ,and every bone and muscle in his body relaxed itself upon the soft comfy mattress. An evil thought of Tifa in his room started to run through his mind. He thought of Tifa… beckoning Cloud to come in bed with her. His eyes immediately opened, and he shook his head. He had to get those fantasies of Tifa out of his head. ‘Idleness is the devil’s workshop.’ He was told in numerous times, but why did the devil have to be so convincing? It had almost made him feel weak. He decided to go visit her himself. So he walked out of his room and knocked the door to Tifa’s room…no answer. He knocked again…no answer…He turned the knob surprised to find it unlocked. Tifa wouldn’t be this careless, would she? But she was all alone by herself…probably…

Cloud rushed inside to see Tifa no where in sight. He looked all over. The kitchen, living room, her room. She was nowhere to be found. At the corner of his eyes spotted the bathroom. He recalled back that she wasn’t at the party and taking care of the bar. Alone…with all those men… A thought of rape mixed in. His feet started to react, and he headed for the bathroom door.

Her eyes opened when she suddenly heard the door opened. Her eyes widened when she saw the young blonde male at the door. Cloud’s face gave a deep crimson blush.

“Cloud?! What’re you doing here?! I'm taking a bath!!”, she shrieked. She looked down at her nude form, and blushed even more. She curled up into a ball with her backfacing him. “Cloud! Get out of here! Can’t you see I’m-“

“Okay,okay! I’m going! BYE!”, He ran out and slammed the door behind him. He heaved adeep breath in, exhaled, and leaned on the door. He slowly sat himself down on the floor with eyes wide open. Whoa…Tifa is way hotter than I’d imagined!,

Tifa stepped out of the tub, wrapped herself around with a towel, and opened the door. Cloud feel back and looked up. He saw that she was getting mad. “Cloud! Why’d you have to be such a pervert! Get back up!” He did as he was told. He looked down at Tifa’s angry face. He smiled. She always looked so cute to him whenever she was angry. He placed his hand on her bare shoulder. She seemed to look a bit uneasy and red.

“Sorry you were lonely here by yourself. Why don’t you get your clothes on and meet me on the rooftop, ok?”, he said and left. Tifa stood there as he walked out of the door casually. It was hard trying to keep her cool while he stood looking ather naked body. She would’ve just bashed him to death, but she remained calm and as peaceful as she could be. Her dirty clothes lay scattered all over her bed and floor. She placed them in the hamper so she would carry it to the cleaners the day after New Year’s. She gave a quick glance at her clock. It read 11:22 pm. Twenty-two minutes till New Year’s. I can’t wait to see the fireworks! She head to her dresser to pick out something a bit more decent for the night. After she dressed and beautified herself, she looked out her window to see the lovely night of glittering stars. Suddenly a thin stream of light caught her eye. A shooting star…my wish…he had always kept his promise...

The young blonde looked at his watch quickly which read 11:33. He looked at the beautiful star filled night. The soft ivory moon shone its mellow pale face. He reminisced the night when he and Tifa had made that promise. The heavens tonight seemed a bit more mysterious and more beautiful than the night of their promise. He remembered their feelings that night. Their feelings would probably different now thatthey’re older and more mature. Though when it comes to love, they feel so weak. Suddenly a shooting star caught his eye. You must make a wish whenever you see a shooting star, he remembered his mother’s words when he was smaller and younger, When a couple’s love is very strong or someone is thinking about aloved one, an angel is giving them a gift from above to grant one wish. He was naïve to actually listen and believe in that story. But he made his wish silently. He heard the light footsteps of a woman, and he turned around. He was fascinated at what he was seeing. Tifa didn’t have that usual mini skirt and tank top, but even with more decent clothes, the young woman looked to be more mature and very pretty. She wore a pure white blouse that clung on to her slender body. The sleeves covered 3/4th of her lanky,but slightly muscular arms. Her light blueskirt was three inches above the knee which seemed to make her legs seem longer. He noticed that Tifa had faintly put makeup on her face. No wonder she had looked more mature. She walked slowly toward Cloud. She gave him a smile that almost made him melt.

“Whoa, Tifa! You’re fantastic tonight!”, he let out. He made her blushed a light pink.

“Thank you, Cloud. You don’t look bad yourself!”, she said to him. Her heart skipped a beat when she looked upon his handsome face. Her eyes traveled down to his build-up. Cloud took her hand gently and lead toward to the edge. A blanket and two mugs of coffee were placed on the ground awaited to be sat on. She lookedat him and giggled. She walked to the blanket and sat down with her legs tucked in. Cloud followed her and sat beside her. He tried his best to relax around her. He envied Tifa a bit because she looked so casual around him. Slowly but surely she was putting pressure on him. As she gazed at the star filled night, Cloud’s eyes fell upon her beauty. It was amazing at how much he can see in one woman.She was limitless. The soft ivory moon’s light shined upon her and made her glow.The star’s reflection laid upon her eyes.

“Cloud?”, Tifa said softly.

“Yeah?”, he responded.

“It’s been a while…after us saving the planet.”

“Yeah…”

“I miss having adventures like that…but that last one was the best one yet.”

“Yeah…”

“…Aeris…After her death, I just couldn’t get over it. She was my best friend, and always will be. It was just all too sudden that she had to leave our lives now. I really miss her. Don’t you?“

“Of course, I do.”

“She was always so friendly, eccentric, she can say things so outwardly. I knew she liked you, Cloud. Sometimes I’m so scared whenever I’m with you though. It seems like Aeris is there trying to haunt me or something. I dunno. I just seem I’m so paranoid.”

“Don’t say that. The truth is, I sometimes feel that way too. But the thing is…”,Cloud hesitated. He was too nervous to say it…to admit it. Tifa had a look of hope in her eyes. He just couldn’t turn her down. He leaned closer to her.Their lips were several inches away from each other. Then a big boom broke the silence. Colorful sparks of fireworks flashed in the sky. The two looked upinto the sky and gazed at the pretty patterns of different lights. Tifa laid herself on Cloud’s lap while he absent-mindedly stroke her hair.

“Beautiful…”she said softly.

“Not as beautiful as you…”, he complimented. She looked up at him innocently with tears in her eyes. Her eyes looked like pools of flashing stars. He looked at her lovingly and whispered in her ear.

“You’re more beautiful than what I see now. I love you! That's why. And I always will!” She found her lips sealed with a Cloud’s passionate kiss. This all feels so real! Is this a dream? If I open my eyes would I really see Cloud? She slowly fluttered her eyes open. A tear rolled down her cheek when she saw that everything was real. So many times in her life, she had been living in a fantasy world and imagining the feeling of being kissed by him. Soon they were both smothered into one kiss. Their hearts beat at the same time. They were caught up at the heat of the moment until…

“Whooooo!!!”, a big, burly voice called from most likely below them. They broke apart. Leaving them gazing at each other. Then Cloud looked down beside him. Barret, Cid, Cait Sith, and Yuffie were having a mini celebration when they had seen them both kiss.

“Finally! You two are an item!”, Yuffie

exclaimed happily flashing a peace sign. Everyone else was having a party. The two were red with embarrassment. The both smiled at each other, and once again they looked up at the luminous night. Cloud suddenly saw an outline of Aeris with angel wings by the stars. The fireworks added the color to the vision. It seemed like she wassmiling down at the two. Mom, you’reright. Angels do send gifts. Thank you, Aeris.

In her own bright world with the angels, her emerald gems looked down upon the two new lovers. She lovingly smiled at them both. Her gentle hands kept a little lily near her chest, and memories started flooding back to her while she was on the planet. Her first meeting with Cloud, the hilarious event with Tifa, her , Cloud, and Don Corneo, her first date with Cloud in the Gold Saucer, every happy moment with those two was heaven on Earth to her. Oh, how I miss them both. I love you so much. Please be careful with each other! I’ll be watching you from heaven.

“Cloud? Did you just say something?”

“No, I didn’t.”

“Oh just checking, love.” Tifa leaned her head on Cloud's shoulder and closed her eyes into a light sleep.
