Something had been bothering her for a while now. Rolling over as she was trying to sleep. The sun was over head, yet it was cold out. So nice, well to her anyways. She was laying under neath a very large tree that she had found before the sun had come up. Laying here for hours trying to sleep, yet not getting an ounce of it. Her mind filled with doubt, and it made her rather upset. Carnage.
A male she had seen a few times, yet their meetings had never lasted long, or had been that great for that mater. He was weird, and very different then what she was use to. She wanted to know why he was so fascinated with her. Why had he seemed to put so much towards her. It made her uncomfortable. She had to ask him, when she saw him next. He'd tell her, and then she'd be fine. Or she hoped she would. It was driving her mad that she couldn't sleep. Hardly eat, since she wasn't hungry.
She was also worried about her brother. She hadn't seen him for a while, nor heard if he was doing ok. She was sure he was, but couldn't help worrying. He was all she had, until now. She was alone, or felt alone for the most part. She blinked as she looked up into the tree she was under. Squinting from the bright light of the sun.

Carnage had eaten often. Slept.. Or done anything for himself. He hated it- he hated being around others.. He cursed the ground he walked on.. He hunted.. Just to hunt. Fight. Just to fight.. Over ONE girl. Just ONE girl....
He was almost trapped by another girl but no. There was only one girl in his head.. gave him a reason to go forward.. She was so different. Something about her was just tempting and irritating..
"Nicolieus.. " He said over and over in his head. Yea, he met others. True that he had seen many other girls.. but there was no attraction. Nothing. He sat in the middle of his grounds. The one he claimed a while back.. He growled fiercely- then after he tried to regain thought, enough to get up and hunt again. Not eat. Just hunt and gather what he could..
Just hoping she would come by wasn't likely now. It had been a while.. Maybe she did hate him like the rest did. His attitude was horrible. But deep down .. he had that softness towards her. His paws found way towards the pond next to the path.. When he got there. He looked down.. Looking in to the water as to find fish to destory with his claws... Taking his anger out in hunting most likely. He watched as a fish went by and as he wasn't in the greatest of thought he missed- jabbing his paw in to the water and crushing it almost in to a rock. Of course. The rock broke and now.. so did his paw. "GAUH!" He growled and gave a howl...

Truth be told, Nicolieus had no clue where she had laid down hours ago. And though she didn't want to move, something kind of made her jump. From peace and quiet, came another sound that she had not heard in quite some time. At first, she didn't even look away from the trees above, though that voice, the smell... It was so familiar.
She wasn't hidden at all. In fact, the only thing that was covering over her was a very tall tree giving her the shade she needed. Her fur was thinker now then it had been during the summer. Giving her more of a shine. Finally, she moved her head and let her icy eyes scan the area. At first, she though she was going crazy, but it didn't take long until she found the one that was making noise.
A very read blob that was the back of a ulaya's body was only a few feet away from her. He must have been careless to not have seen her at all. Or perhaps she was more hidden that she let on to believe. She didn't say anything at first. But she never did say anything the first time seeing someone in the area she was in. She liked to listen before telling them that she's there.

He let out a growl from pride of getting hurt.. It made him look weak... He looked in to the water.. seeing his reflection..
Why was he the way he was... His tail tapped the rock behind him..
Then he let his tail glide over the water as he turned and walked away..
Only a few steps in- and his nose tickled.. His ears shot up and all his three paws pushed forward, in a search. It had to be her. That scent...
His front paw retorted to his chest a bit- which made him walk kinda funny balancing on three paws rather than all fours. Seconds his eyes took to find the thick pelt of a female.. Which he didn't know who it was... familiar markings.. but he didn't remember the same girl having such thick fur.. He let down his broken paw to look more presentable.. At least for the moment but he still limped.. He didn't want to push everyone away now.. for he knew picking a fight with someone now would mean his demise.
He came closer... to the other ulaya.. The scent.. was he for sure... Black eyes found the icy ones.. He heart thumped in his chest.. and his breathing almost acted the same.. He shook his head out of it and tried to puff up his chest and stand like a male in his territory. "....You there." He said softly-kinda harsh and waiting for an answer. His paw that was hurt was a lil bit lifted from the ground and its tip touched the grassy tips. He wasn't SO close.. but he was merely only paws away.

"You shouldn't walk on that, you know." she said to him. It seemed he had realized she was there. There was no point in keeping quiet. He didn't act as if he knew her at all. Was it because she looked different? "No.. I'm a figment of your imagination." She said with a smirk. She really didn't think she looked different. Same color of fur, same markings. Just thicker. She flicked her long tail around her legs as she sat down.
"You haven't changed" She said with a nod. Maybe that wasn't the best thing to say to someone, but it was just something that came to mind to start a conversation. She felt rather uncomfortable.

"Aw.. Now I get it.. Its you." He grumbled and huffed a bit. He looked down at his paw then at her. "It aint nothin." Replying in a sort of 'i way to strong for such a tiny thing'. He threw his head to the side and walked forward- trying to show that he was strong- but failed when he almost lost balance from putting his weight on the broken paw. He put his ears back- and lowered his head a bit.. An eye squinted.
"....You changed.. Got a thick hide on yea.. " He said rather softly- more softer than his last remark. "An eye looker- more than last time we met." Not like she wasn't pretty the last time.. Just that shine.. just caught his eye and wouldn't let go. Which made him a bit frustrated..
His tail gave a wag- as his ears moved forward- more towards her. "...Sleepin' ?" He asked tilting his head to the side in wonderment. Not like he'd beat himself over if he woken her up from his previous actions. [/which he WOULD do and never admit to it] He waited upon her words- unknowingly that he felt a need to hear her.

She rolled her eyes. Her brother would be the same way. "if you keep walking on it then you'll hurt it further, now sit down and I can help alittle." She said as she stood up and walked towards him. He wasn't going to like what she was about to do, but at least the bone would heal the right way. She grabbed a broken stick on the way. it was fairly straight. It'd do. On the way she poked her claw in a long strand of thick grass that had been broken off. It'd hold the stick in place for a bit. Spitting the stick out of her mouth on the ground once she was right in front of him.
"It's called winter. I'm sure everyone gets a thick coat during this time." She said with a smile. "Not as thick as mine, but thick enough." She paused and didn't say anything to his next comment. "now hold up your paw, this may hurt a bit, but it'll help."

Carnage growled some- warning... but with her. He stayed put and even sat up straight... When she said to put up his paw. He obeyed without fail... but grumbled a bit..
his ears pulled back..
"....It don't hurt." He said softly.. His features.. ah. Had he only took care of them before he met her.. his chest fur, and his upped body had damped when he broke his paw into the rock.. Splashing caused this.. over a fish he might've not even eaten. He watched her carefully..
"Winter hm.. Well if you were cold. Coulda told me yea know. Would have kept you warm." He grumbled and lifted his head, then looked to the side with a cocky way to him. He could've made it.. she was rough kinda. As he examined. In spirit she was.. yet.. this thing about her.. Just made it seem like. Everything was 'ok' ...
"If you say id help. Then ok." He nodded some.. still looking at the side- for pride one. Second to not have her realize he was blushing.. since she was helping him out- or even offered..

She took the bark off the stick she found, almost perfectly to where there was three long strips or strong bark that would work to keep the stick there while the leg healed. She grabbed his paw gently and snapped the bone back where it was suppose to be and stuck the stick on the side of his leg, quickly tying the bark there. She didn't even wait for a response from him.
She giggled at his response of her fur. "It comes every winter, weather or not I'm cold." She flicked her tail and took a step back. "You should be careful." she said looking at his paw rather his face.

His ears went up in confusion but that dumbfounded look on his face was short lived after he felt the bone snapped in to place. He grinted his sharply edged fangs and shook his head roughly.
A few seconds past before he shook off the sharp pain.. Then he closed his eyes in a calm, but still the grint on the side of his maw didn't lighten up. "Yea. Well I suppose its better that way. Almost didn't regconize you. Well. It didn't accure to me that any would make others gorgeou-" He caught himself before he gave the full compliment. "Ah... um I mean. yea. Guess you look ok with it. More fluff." He shrugged and some and flapped his tail about wondering why he got now chills.. and when she said he should be care. "Honestly I always am. Just a flesh wound nuttin much." He shook his head at disappoval of his own mistake- taking it out fustration in that matter- but what did he know. Didn't know any better than fighting and being rough.
He looked to the side... then slowly he looked at her- but not moving his head any. His paw raised and he huffed. "How'd- yea learn how to do dis." He asked then looking at the paw's wrap. "Quite clever."

She raised an eye brow at him, but said nothing at his almost direct complement came out of his mouth. It wouldn't be long before he wouldn't be able to catch himself, she thought with a half smile upon her face. Then he asked her about his paw. " I have a younger brother who use to get hurt a lot" She said simply. It wasn't that big of a deal. Anyone could think of it. She remembered watching her mother mend his wounds when they were younger before she disappeared leaving her alone to take care of her twin. She looked a bit sad about actually thinking about her brother since she hadn't seen him in a while. It was hard when splitting up with the only one you had.

Carnage blinked at bit and frowned. "Twins." He simply added without really knowing but it was a guess. "From the look of it, you have a grand bond like twins...?" He tilted softly then he leaned forward and nodded. "I was an only kit though. Wouldn't know what it felt like.. to take care of another Ulaya... " Hiis tail patted the ground. "Gettin' hurt alot. Sounds like me kinda." He chuckled softly- seeming that he was having a rather good time.
"Can... I tell yea a secret." He didnt technically ask.. but he had a soft mysterious face now. Correcting the fact that he was usually stubborn. A smirk crossed his face on a clever cunning thing to say. More ~ that he wanted her to fall for the question and reply.

She nodded at him. "Yeah, though I am the older of us." She said with a chuckle. "Therefore, I'm the one who should take care of him." Which she did, but now that they were adults, it was difficult to do so. "It's nothing too special, really. And can get on your nerves sometimes." She said with a nod. Telling him that he really didn't miss much. "Perhaps when you have a family of your own, you'll know what it's like"
"Secret?" She looked at him strangely with a raised eye brow. She had no clue what he was going to tell her, and sat there waiting for whatever it was going to be. Her tail bounced up and down on the ground.

"Older. Can their be.. how ineteresting ~ " Genuinely interested but when she peeked in more to his words of a secret. He couldn't help but to taunt with a look of wanting...
He made carefully sure not to mess up what she had done to his paw. Slowly he leaned up close to her ear and as cunning as he said it in his head is how it came out. "My secret.. is ... I always wanted take car' of some kits and protect a certain beauty with the life I have in me. Its been my secret..." He slowed his words and then wink at her. "Ever since I met cha." He couldn't help the light chuckle as he retorted his head back to its original position.. He had light eyes when he looked at her. His stubbornness left him for that moment and the smooth mysterious words from before were now revealed.
His flappy tail jumped up and down just as slowly now.. Given her some time to ponder on what he said. He would usually just tumble on his words with her around- or stop himself from looking vanurable but this time. He had everything in control.. and didn't feel at the paws of this Ulaya. Equal.

She caught on to what he said the moment he said it. Not too shocked, but really didn't know what to say about it. She looked at him as if she was dumbstruck, to make him think she didn't know what he meant at first, but then the next came out. "Why?" That was the question she wanted to know from the start. Why her? Of all the ulaya... Why? She'd just been waiting for the perfect chance to ask it.
She really didn't know how to put her feelings out at all, and probably would upset him with the question, but she needed to know why before she could truly know how she felt back. It was strange, and probably something other's wouldn't understand, but to her, it was what made sense.
