Call me slightly oldish in the anime department, but Outlaw Star and .hack//SIGN are two of the original three animes that got me hooked on anime. Both story lines are well done and both take part in the future. Outlaw Star is the far future where we travel from planet to planet and live. But .hack//SIGN is a nearer future where we play virtual video games useing only our brain waves in our own bedrooms! What I would like to know is everyone else's opinions on these two answering these questions. = Have you watched or read Outlaw Star? = How did you like the story line? = What characters do you like? = Did you dislike any of characters? + Have you watched or read .hack//SIGN? + How did you like the story line? + What characters do you like? + Did you dislike any of the characters?

I've seen .hack//SIGN but not Outlaw Star [ sadly DD: ]
I thought it was really good, but sometimes slow, and i wanted to kick Tsukasa a lot. Story-wise it was over-all pretty good, but like i said, sometimes you could sleep through an episode and not miss a durned thing.
I know she's a MAJOR Mary-sue, but for some reason, I like Subaru. [ can't believe she just came clean with that, yeah yeah, flame me all you want. ]. I think her character design is cool, and she can hold her own, she just doesn't do it [ which is what makes her a mary-sue]. But, on the other hand, she stands for peace, and not violence, which....
I didn't Tsukasa. Sure, the kid had issues but she was just plain annoying. sweatdrop To me anyways. If she hadn't been so stand off-ish and had the "i'm cool" attitude going, she would have been ok.

I watched only .hack//sign, not Outlaw Star.
I liked the story of the series, it interest me. I like watch the whole series like three times. I like Tsukasa, I always had a soft spot for her. I really didn't dislike any of the characters, even though I didn't care much for the Silver Knight.

I have seen the first episode of .hack//sign, but it confused me and I dropped it. I should probably take it up again, it intrigues me.

Watched outlaw star some 5-6 years ago stare i'm old gonk
so yah me luved it 3nodding
Fave caracter twilight suzuka xd
least fave hot-ice hilda good thing they kill her in ep 2 or 3 twisted

I've seen a fair bit of both. Never quite finished either but I intend to.
Outlaw Star is my favourite of the two. My favourite characters were Fred and Aisha Clan Clan.
Hack was good too but I wasn't really in the mood for it so I kind of petered off towards episode 10 or so. I know how it ends, I did bad and looked, but if I hadn't I probably would never finish it anyway. Hack is different to your usual fair and I'm more of an action person.

I'm currently playing the first .hack game and love it. i so wanted to buy the game, but was flat broke at the time gonk I found it used and I haven't had a problem with it since except one of the bosses is really touch and keeps kicking my butt.
