Hey guys, 'member me? I'm still alive. Looks like the guild has sort of gotten more active in my absence. I wonder if that has anything to do with it... Anyway, as EI knows I've been busy with my head in textbooks, and also being on semi-vacation. Nowhere interesting, don't ask. So, I guess I might be existing a bit more now. Re-hello!

It's because me and Lawrence (mostly) tackled an enormous (I think it's 50-ish pages) thread on languages that I stumbled across in the Lifestyle forum (or whatever i's called). razz
At any rate, I'm back too; I've not really been as active as in the past over the last month or so, partly because my parents don't like Gaia and I haven't had access to school computers so I've had to hide my browser window behind other windows so they don't catch me, and partly because another forum I'm on exploded (long story) and I've been paying a lot of attention to it because it has needed some serious reestablishing.

That's kind like my situation as well. My school doesn't allow anything other than school work on computers, but nobody listens to them, but I got in trouble, so now I'm a high alert type thing, and that means my parents now hate Gaia... Although it's gotten more active here, it still seemed a bit boring without you here... Glad to see you back!

Actually, I don't either. It's like everything has already been said, almost.
Also, plottus twistus: my mom stole the computer because the house is a mess and thus apparently we hate her. I'm on the (ancient) PC that is connected to the TV, but I'll really only be able to access Gaia regularly from school computers until she decides to give it back. rolleyes

She's a neat freak. Someone comes over to visit for (literally) two or so minutes? "HURRY!!!! CLEAN THE ENTIRE HOUSE! WE HAVE TO VACUUM! AHHHHH!!!! -frothatmouth-" It's quite scary.

So what will you do then? Pack up your meager belingongings and hike away to a land where you can have unrestricted computer use?

Actually, just a land where I can go and not be constantly controlled by EvilWoman.
Bolivia fits this criteria nicely.

I'm going to go with the Peace Corps if I can, but if they don't accept me (and the chances that they will are relatively low-ish, but it's worth a shot), I'm going to find another way (perhaps through AFS).
But yes, it's almost sure that I am going to go to Bolivia. In a couple of weeks I'm going to be able to apply, but I think I'm going to wait until I'm either done with this semester or I'm done with my AA degree. Then I'm going to come back here and get my degrees in linguistics. razz
My Spanish professor spent some time in Ecuador with the Peace Corps, and she told me that it was awesomesauce and that she'll gladly be a reference for me.
