CURRENT FUNDS Ryu = 100$ Jessra = 100$Hokay! We can fully discuss our ideas here, and they will be recorded for future reference!
Now, since I have absolutely nothing to do here at home except read manga and contemplate my future, I've been thinking about this whole apartment thing. I think we would be able to get an apartment just the two of us and split the rent. Cause its only 1k a month, right? That means 500 bucks per month per person. And if we both get full time jobs, or close to full time jobs, at minimum wage, we would both be making over 1 grand a month.
My logic: 8.00$ minimum wage x 8 hours per day = 64$ per day 64$ per day x 5 days a week = 320$ per week 320$ per week x roughly 4 weeks per month = 1,280$ per month
So~ My reasoning is that it wouldn't be too hard to split an apartment just the two of us, and still have quite a bit of money left over each month. That way, we could each get our own room! Plus, those apartments aren't that big (ive seen them), and sharing them with two more people really would be annoying after a while. Pluss, I'm planning on finding a job that pays more than minimum wage next semester, since I should be getting a car again.
So, what does cuzzy think?

hmm... well in theory it sounds quite brilliant. but...a few things need to be analyzed.
First: 8hrs for 5 days a week is all good, but with full-time ur really only goin to get 40hrs a week(adding in school hours here). this would bring income down to 1024 per month. at $500 per month for each, that would leave 524 for other bills. bills such as food, whatever utilities are not covered, and gas for car(s). Bonus, insurance for car(this most likely only applies to me). I think it would be wise to consider at least one other person to split the apartment with, and I would be willing to share a small space with someone else...aka share a room. I'm use to no space whatsoever. Also, I have to consider the fact that my money would probably also be put towards paying for school, especially since my parents won't pay(mom cuz she has no money and my dad is just a jackass)
Second: What time period are we looking at again? Were we going to wait another year? Because truthfully, what with my failing three classes, I need to reach a certain amount of credits before being considered, otherwise I would just transfer to the community up there and then transfer a year later.
Just a few more things to consider. But I still LOVE the idea and really want to make it happen. OMG!! I finally have something to use my clipboard to plan with!!! this is exciting lol

O_O Isn't 8 hours a day, 5 days a week full time? Anywho... True, we have to leave money for utilities(forgot about that).
I've been living off a little under 200 dollars per month for food, and i still have quite a bit left over at the end of each month. Plus, if we share, and shop at costco, it should in theory cost less per person.
I might be getting a gas card again from the parental units. If that's true, I'm more than willing to chip in and help you out with that stuffs! And we shouldn't use too much since the place is so freakin tiny, and close to santa rosa(jc).
So, I'm guessing you need to plan out how much your car insurance will cost per month then and school fees. We should also plan out how much utilities will cost.
I won't completely toss out the rommies idea. I can't complain about sharing a room with you! No problem there!
I was planning on this taking effect next semester, or this coming fall. How many credits do youi have to have? And do you have to have them to go from one JC to another?

Yes, food isn't that big a deal.
For utilities, if I'm remembering correctly, the apartments that we looked up online should cover gas and water. We would need to cover electricity and cable, etc.
My current insurance is about 116/month. but its probably going up because i got a ticket shh!! lol.
For college, I currently have I believe it was 4 credits from my one class, but this semester I'm tackling 14 credits. As long as I manage those, I should be fine to transfer to the JC. There's nothing to that one really. For JC, my dad should cover it, but I will have to talk to him. Normally it's $20/credit plus any fees and then books. I have to come up with scholarships though. Brilliant father isnt he?
So I will do some more research on those subjects, especially the daddy dearest one, and get back to you. For now I have to go to my bloody church haha your fave place.... evil

lmao twisted
So that shouldn't bee too tough then! I mean, I managed 18 credits this semester, with a job! Just try not to slack off! I'll be focusing really hard this semester cause I'm on academic probation... sweatdrop Lets both doo our best so you can finally have your freedom and I don't get expelled!!!
Electricity shouldn't be too bad if we work together on it. And I'm sure we could survive with basic cable. Thats what we get on campus, and its more than enough channels for me! We just have to remember not to leave the lights on and stuff! lol
And, I'm gonna try and work two jobs this summer, so I should have a decent supply of back up/emergency money by the time school rolls around.
Have fun in hell!!!

Ok so I just thought of one more BIG detail that we need to make sure that we will have. And it is a DEPOSIT. every single place will want one and it differs on the place how much it will be. So plan A is SAVE like a crazy mother. lol
Oh and I had myself some fun in hell...i shot these foamy darts at ppls heads...overall quite amusing. u would have even enjoyed urself. 3nodding

So... I just consulted my dad about our little endevour, and he gave me a bunch of stuff that we would need. So I broke down our expenses a little and it makes more sense now. All we need next is the exact prices and our list of furniture! Oh yea.. And we should start posting the links to the apartments we want to consider. 3nodding

ok so i asked my mom about deposits and she informed me that it can be anywhere from $500-one month's rent. So we need to have at least double in savings.

i took a look at the sites u posted for possibilities and personally i LOVE the house. but that one means more money technically. otherwise im thinking that the 2bdrm 2bth crossbrook apartment looks like a great bet, because its a pretty good price for the square footage. but once again, i think it would be wise to have at least one more person to split the cost with. numbers breakdown time!
Cost/month: 1295$ Avg. earnings/roomie: 1024$ Half of rent: 647.5$ Money leftover for other bills: 376.5$
With another roomie Cost/month: 1295$ Avg. earnings/roomie: 1024$ Rent/roomie: 432$ Money leftover for other bills: 592$
Other bills to consider(rough estimates): Car Insurance: 120$ Food: 200$ Other Utilities: 100$ Gas Money: 80$ Total: 500$ Minus roomie expenses: 100$ Grand Total: 400$
Money left to save/spend at will: 192$/month

Ok, So I drove by the Crossbrook apartments. They look really nice on the outside. Then, yesterday at work, I talked to a guy who lives there. He said they are really nice apartments, but they are really strict. I don't think that's a problem for us. He and his roomates are total alcoholic potheads who party non-stop... So yea. Thats a thumbs up for crossbrook apartments. Oh, and its mostly students who live there! 3nodding

MAJOR PLUS!!! its lookin like crossbrook is gonna be a really good choice. and i like the mostly students part because if i go to the JC and live off campus kind of thing i wont get the same opportunity to make friends as u had this year. but if there are other students around, i'll get to meet a few!
