Hokku loved the winter, when there was plenty of snow to play in and a nice, warm den to go back to when he got too cold. He only wished he had someone to share it with. Hokku had many friends, both male and female, but had yet to find someone that he wanted as more than a friend, someone to settle down with, maybe even have a family some day. He thought that he would make a wonderful father, for he was always being told he had the energy of a kit. He loved playing with others' younglings, and sincerely hoped to have his own one day.
But first he needed to find a mate. Not just a female to have his young, but a partner that he could enjoy life with. He wasn't really sure what he was looking for in a partner, just that he would know her when he saw her, if not at first sight then at least once he got to know her a bit. If only he could find her...
