Pushing through the shop door came Vena, shivering from the cold air outside. It'd been really nice of Karo to go and get him a shirt or something, it was ridiculously difficult to keep his bigger body warm. Sighing, he loosened the scarf around his neck, peering around the shop.

At the sound of Vena's voice, Lumi poked her head around the kitchen doorway and grinned.
"Hello lover!" she cat-called and waved one hand wildly at him.
"You're welcome to join me for a cup of hot chocolate. I just finished making some for myself. I don't ever remember having such trouble keeping warm before," she pouted then disappeared back into the kitchen.

"Hi," Vena piped, delighted to see his beloved companion around. He really would have to find a way to spend more time with her to begin with. Hopping over to the kitchen, he smiled at Lumi before sliding his arms around her waist and pulling her snug against his chilly chest, nuzzling the nape of her neck.
"At least you've got a shirt," he murmured into her fur, nipping at her ear affectionately-- although it had felt more natural when they both were still quad. And Vena still hadn't quite grasped the fact that it was socially more acceptable for a lady to cover herself up.

"That's what I get for prancing around without a shirt," the man pouted, allowing her to break free and reach for the mug. He eyed her up and down, it'd still take him some time getting used to their fairly new physique, but he kinda liked it.
"Mehh," he shrugged, "Humans are silly like that."
Then he drew on a wide grin, taking the warm mug from her dainty hands and pecking her cheek lightly. "If you don't like it, you might just as well go without it. All I want is for you to be comfortable."

"Yay!" Lumi cried then immediately stripped off all her clothes, not just the shirt. If she was going to do it, she might as well go for the gusto.
"Ahh, soo much more comfy," she sighed, wiggling her now bare body.

Vena chuckled, ruffling the woman's hair a little as she got rid of her clothes. He really didn't get this clothing business, and it didn't bother him at all; he'd seen Lumi without clothes since day one. Of course, her body had looked a little different back then. Curious, he peered at her from head to toe, wrapping an arm around her and kissing her forehead.
"I'm glad when you are," he cooed, looking down at her and cocking his head to the side. Yes, she looked pretty as always. Peculiar, but pretty. His eyes squinted in a smile while he inhaled the scent of hot chocolate from his mug. "I'll keep you warm."

Lumi smiled like a small child when he ruffled her hair then her smile broadened into a grin when he touched his lips to her forehead.
"How could you keep me warm when you can't keep yourself warm?" she asked playfully, winking at him then she tilted her head and asked curiously, "Why do you keep looking at me like that?"

"I'll find a way," Vena claimed, grinning down at her as she blinked and sticking his tongue out playfully. He patted her hip gingerly while sipping his hot chocolate, chuckling a bit and setting the mug down to free his hand. And quite promptly, he prodded at her chest. "Well, these are kinda new," he murred, blinking at her and grinning awkwardly. "Uhh, I thought they'd feel more like your tummy or something, though, I didn't realize they're so squishy."

"Yeah. They're all jiggly," she commented, bouncing on her toes to demonstrate.

Poking the tip of his tongue out, he waved a hand at her frame. "Well, your stuff looks a whole lot different and is covered by fur," and having stated this, he sighed again, rolling his eyes.
"'kay, fine. But not here, c'mon." And without waiting for her reply, he picked Lumi up in his arms, cradling her comfortably and wobbling his way to the only real room in the entire shop; Karo's office. Letting Lumi down, he closed the door and gave her a stern look. "Just don't laugh, okay?"

"For science!" Lumi cried then broke into a grin and watched patiently while he wrestled with his garments. And, as she had promised, she didn't laugh. In fact, she didn't think it was funny. Instead she marveled at it, her head slightly cocked to the side and her face shining with extreme curiosity tempered with something akin to awe. She'd never seen anything like it before, after all..

"Beats me," Vena shrugged, blinking down at himself and resting his palms on his hips. "Karo hasn't really said anything about them. Just that they exist, they're not abnormal and that we hafta get used to them."

"We ought to complain," Vena nodded sternly, crossing his arms a bit and peering down at Lumi as she crouched down. It was a little awkward, since he wasn't quite used to his own lower half yet. Alas, the two of them had kids, so there shouldn't be anything to feel embarrassed about.

His fur bristled up the instant her finger came in touch with his no-go-zone and he straightened up with a yelp.Blushing furiously, he grasped Lumi's wrist, hardly managing an awkward chuckle. She wasn't entirely sure how she'd exactly teach him about this whole new feature to his repertoire, as far as she was concerned, in quad they more or less lacked this kind of random bodily reactions, as there was no need for them in the nature.
