News:

January 18 2008: Okay, to all new and old members, if there are any personality changes you would like to make, please send them too me and also send me a message to make sure that everyone is still on-board with their wolves. If you would like your wolf to apply for the position of one of the Nobles, include it in your message. I will only allow (for the moment) one Noble position per rper. In other words, so that everyone gets an equal chance, until further notice, you can only have one Noble. The more active you have been with your wolves, the more likely you are to get the position you apply for. I also need you to send me what position your wolf will take, and a picture of their new pretty faces, if you don’t mind. I want everyone to send the word Braids as their PM title, to be sure that you have gone over this information, as well as all the new pack history and rules. I’ll try and keep you updated here.

Also, some aspects of the Bones Pack have gone through major changes, I would really like it if everyone read them over, thanks. Like, seriously. The Bones Pack has rules, I’d like the wolves to follow them.

Also, for members who have not sent me confirmation of personalities, please send them to me by the end of the month, or I will assume that you are not interested in staying in the Bones Pack, and I’ll have to give you the boot. This applies to anyone who also does not send me a message with their wolf’s new position. I still love you… but I just want to try and keep everyone active and informed.

Also, could everybody wrap up their rps in the old guild/move them to the new one?

Royal Family Members

King of Bones

Irons
User Image
RPer: demonstration_evil
Personality: Though he is charismatic, Irons is a little on the crazy side. A warrior and leader in every sense, he will strike down anyone who stands in his way, friends and foes alike. Though he is not evil per say, he is not a good guy. Bad boy who has no remourse for taking life, and rarely spares it. He cares for his pack above even his position.

Queen of Bones

Heirs To The Throne

Prince Valin
User Image
RPer: demonstration_evil
Personality: Valin is usually fairly laid back and quiet. However, there is something dark and charismatic about the young pup who will one day lead the Bones Pack. He, like his father and mother, is a little on the crazy side... and he is often distant, as though he is somewhere else, but he is highly intelligent.

Prince Reks
User Image
RPer: L1m3_gr33n_sh4rp13
Personality: Reks was picked by his mother to becoem the next Shaman, and though he doesn't seem completely entranced by the idea, he has a strong sence of duty and has accepted it. He's very confused about his parents as they don't always get along, and he wonders how he and his brother came to be. He is like his father in the sence that he needs people to earn his trust, even his own family and pack.

Noble/Clergy/Elder's Circle Members

Warrior Generals

Skule
[Image Pending]
RPer: Moriko Omori
Personality: He was never really concerned with the wellbeing of the former pack, the one overthrown by Irons. He had been very disconnected, and was even considered sheltered by his, now deceased, parents. He is a proud wolf, polite, and generally faithful to his duties. And now, as a warrior of Irons, he seeks to bring himself about and prove himself among the ranks of the new pack through courage and power, and see the pack restored to a new glory

Lead Hunters

Aleni
[Image Pending]
RPer: SteelRain
Personality: Aleni is one of those wolves who is quite pleasant, although usually comes off as irritated and annoyed. She is prideful of her duty as hunter, and usually dislikes it when other wolves join her for a hunt, for she has a secret desire to be the main food provider. The huntress highly respects Irons, and is willing to spend days in the Woods if it means bringing back something decent for their alpha.

Head Guards

Shaman

Szálka
[Image Pending]
RPer: L1m3_gr33n_sh4rp13
Personality: a very airy, and whimsical wolf. She is known for being quite the odd ball, and often can be found singing enchanting songs of the ancient tongue. She looks weak and lithe, but is truely a force to be reckoned with.

Priests

Loir
User Image
RPer: Chobi_Chocabo
Personality: He is a bit of a womanizer who from time to time gets in trouble. Though very loyal to those who he befriends. He is not sassy and a very hard worker. His one problem area lies with his love for the ladies. If a males not careful with him around their mate he may find his pups resembling Loir more then him self.

[See Also Reks]

Priestesses

Mali
User Image
RPer: `raze
Personality: Mali is a headstrong and determined girl, and once she has her mind set on something it hard to deter her from achieving her goal. Mali is observant and active, and she is always ready for a challange. She is also quite secretive and knows how to put on an act, as her sentimentality and questioning behavior may be enough to get her killed. Obviously enough she hides such "weaknesses". She has a love for knowledge and finds that she enjoys whatever proves to be the most enriching.

Mist
User Image
RPer: Saspra98016
Personality: Mist is a shy but very determined female. She lets others boss her around for short periods of times. Once they get on her bad side she will show them what's coming. When she sets her mind to it she can accomplish many things. Occasional times however she can be very curious like they say. "Curiousity killed the cat." She is careful not to let her curiousity get the better of her because it can sometimes be a weakness.

Gamma Members

Warriors

Indira
[Image Pending]
RPer: Moriko Omori
Personality: Much larger than the average wolf and always with a cruel, disgusted look on her maw, Indira is stubborn, mean, and power-hungry. She's sly and pretty stuck-up, and loves to test her boundaries, toeing the line and challenging others all the time. A real bully and quick to anger, she'd sooner bite you than befriend you, and most wolves should never turn their back on her... it may be the last thing you ever do.

Sagu
User Image
RPer: [-Pengy-]
Personality: He is very brave, he will do any tough job full out without fear. Also he loves to get loved on.

Hunters

Jaegar
[Image Pending]
RPer: SteelRain
Personality: Jaegar is, in a roundabout way, the quiet killer. The hunter is a bloodthirsty wolf of few words, and the sort that likes the kill just to drag around a corpse to show off. Life in a pack is certainly different from the anti-social wolf's usual ways, but hunting to earn the respect of others, especially for the respect of mistrusting wolves such as Irons, is something he can certainly live with.

Guards

Kei
User Image
RPer: puppygirlsweet1
Personality: Kei is a high spirited wolf. He has a heart of a pup and usually look on the brighter side to something terrible. He tries not to let his inner pup come out. But sometimes he's bored and doesn't feel like doing anything.. But overall, he'll do almost anything for his pack.

Pack History

The original line of this pack was thought to have been from the great God of the Dead and the Goddess of Bones. It grew out of a bone yard, which to this day is littered by the bones of every prey ever taken by the pack, which means that some of these bones go back centuries. A pack pf warriors and spiritualists, the Bones Pack believes, totally and without restraint that their leaders are the descendants of Gods, and they are protected by the bones of both what they have killed, and their ancestors. This ancient pack relies heavily on the dead for their support, and prays to the God of the Dead and the Goddess of Bones. They live amongst the bones to emphasize this.

The Pack is extremely brutal, and within it, one is either a warrior, or a spiritualist… but even the spiritualists are to be feared, for they are practiced in the art of assassinating… especially each other. Pups seen as too weak are killed without remorse by the pack Shaman, who insures that that blood within the pack remains strong. Outsiders are accepted, as long as they are believed to bring strong blood into the pack. Because of this, they will always be tested by the pack Alpha to insure their worthiness. This pack thrives on war and death, so its members are neither squeamish, nor kind. If they aren’t friendly to weakness within their own pack, think about how brutal they would be to an outsider they see as being pathetic.

Positions

Alpha: Since the Alpha is the descendant of Gods, they are practically worshiped amongst the Gods. From the Alpha’s children, it never matters who the first born is, the strongest is always selected for they are believed to have been the most blessed by their ancestry. This leader may be either male or female, so long as they continue to prove that they are worthy of their position. A leader may be challenged at any time if they are believed to be unworthy, even by those outside their family. However, if the Alpha’s line is destroyed, then either the body of the Alpha must be consumed by the one who defeated them, or one of the Alpha’s family must be mated to the new Alpha in order to insure that the blood of the Gods remains in the pack.

Shaman and Priests/Priestesses: The Shaman of the Pack is a position which is difficult to attain, and hard to retain. There may only be, at any time, two priests, two priestesses and one Shaman. The Shaman may be either male, or female, and in order to become Shaman, one must be a priest or priestess… and must murder the previous Shaman. However, the Shaman may only be replaced with permission from the Alpha. In order to become a priest or priestess, a trainee must kill said priest or priestess, but only with permission from the Shaman, who must have permission from the Alpha. The Shaman and the priests/priestesses must uphold the ceremonies of the Bones, and pray continually for the success of the pack, and insure that the spirits of the Bones are appeased. Assassinations inside this small group are fairly common, as even though they need permission to kill each other, the method of said killing is never specified. Poison is a common form of the murders they enact on each other.

Hunters, Guards and Warriors: The rest of the pack is made up of three groups. The Hunters, who feed the pack, as well as scout the area to watch for possible hostile packs. The Guards, who protect the Bone Yard, and insure order amongst the tribe. And The Warriors, the ones who go to war mercilessly on their enemies. All of these groups are constantly training and constantly watching, making them feared amongst their peers. Each group has a male and a female general who ensure that the group remains loyal to the Alpha. They are considered to be the nobility of the Bones Pack, as they are the strongest or smartest of the group, though they only retain their nobility so long as they remain in their position. It is not passed onto their children. The positions of generals and nobility is chosen solely by the Alpha, though they were expected to be sanctioned by the Shaman. The nobility can be changed at any time, at the drop of a hat, by the Alpha.

The Elder’s Circle: There is also an Elder’s Circle, who works as advisors to the Alpha. If the Alpha gets too old to remain in his position, or the one who comes next decides to keep him alive, he or she joins the Elder’s Circle so that he may be looked to in times of crisis. This is usually the case when said Alpha has done a good job in his time. Other Generals/Nobles often retire to this position, though not usually anyone else.

Growing Up In the Pack

The Aging Process

Newborns: When the pups are born, they are inspected by the Shaman for disabilities or weakness. If they have any, they are killed on the spot. Those who pass are raised by their parents, nannies do not exist in the pack. How the parents raise the pups is up to them, but they should be hard on their pups and train them as independent warriors, hunters or guards. Those who aren’t will always be at the bottom of the pack, and will likely die in the coming years.

Teens: Two things happen in these years. One, the now teens are sent away in different directions. They travel for two weeks in one direction, then they travel back for another two weeks. If they aren’t back by the end of the month, they aren’t welcome back. If they don’t come back, they’re considered dead and may not come back. Ever. When they return (if they return) they are immediately asked to display their skills for the nobility and the various priests. This can be anything the Alpha and Shaman decide. The teens are then assigned to their new station in one of the three areas, though some are chosen to be members of the priesthood, training under one of the priests or priestesses if the position is open. The basic training is long and brutal, for the youngest are tested on every level by the nobility of their area. They will likely survive, but those better adapted for said training will have a much easier time.

Adulthood: Reaching adulthood is decided by the nobility in charge of the group the teen is assigned to. They decide when, where, how and if. In other words, the wolf’s fate rests entirely with the nobility. If the nobility doesn’t like them, they will never get anywhere. The weak never rise.

Elders: When wolves get too old to continue in their field, should they survive this long in the brutal pack, they will join the Elder’s Circle. Priests, Priestesses and the Shaman may not join said circle. These elders help to advise the Alpha, and watch over the pack, carrying on stories and traditions. The previous Elder’s Circle was killed during Irons’ rise to power.

Mates

Mating within the Bones Pack is usually not decided on by love, but by power. The most powerful will mate with the most powerful. This pack allows homosexuality, so long as both wolves pass along their powerful genes with pups before they take said mate. Love is accepted, and acknowledged… but it is preferred that the strongest mate with the strongest. However, mates do not have to remain together forever. They may simply have pups and then move onto a less powerful mate whom they actually love. Mates that are actually loved are considered to be Permanent Mates, while all others are only for the sake of having strong children. Those outside the upper class are allowed to have a Permanent Mate of whoever they chose, however the upper class has different rules.

Alphas are always expected to have the strongest mate in the pack, and the strongest in the pack is always expected to mate with the Alpha, however, this does not mean for an instant that the wolf who mates with the Alpha to become the secondary Alpha of the pack. This position is solely decided on by the Alpha, though the pup who inherits the title can be chosen from either litter. There is only one leader of the pack, the Alpha’s mate is only known as the Alpha’s mate. They are respected, and stand above the Shaman, but they are only the Alpha’s mate. The Alpha is the only upper-class member of the Bones Pack whose permanent mate can be any other member of the Bones Pack, including those not in the nobility.

The Shaman is often the Alpha’s mate, as well as the Shaman (though Shamans and Alpha’s are often siblings). If the Shaman mates with another, again, it gains no special status for them exactly, they are only the mate of the Shaman. They are expected to be chosen from the nobility, and a Shaman may not choose a permanent mate from the priests or the priestesses, or those below the nobility. Priests and Priestesses may also not have a Permanent Mate of their class, though they may have one from below the nobility. If they rise to Shaman at any time, the Shaman rules apply to them instantly. They must leave their Permanent Mate.

The Nobility may mate with whom they chose, but it is expected to be their co-general of their particular branch, and usually is because they have that in common. Their Permanent Mate should be from the nobility, though it does not have to be. Generally, the Alpha arranges their permanent mate. If the Alpha issues them a permanent mate, they may appeal to the Shaman, who can over-turn it… but then the Shaman is likely to find themselves replaced with a powerful priest or priestess in the very near future.

The Civil War

“Let me tell you a little story. Once upon a time, there was a Pack called the Bones Pack. It was ruled by Alphas who were descendants from the God of Death and the Goddess of Bones. This was fine for years. Thousands, maybe millions of years. And this pack was strong, powerful, fine, I’d even say. Until one year, with one particular Alpha who took over. Now, the Alpha isn’t really important. What’s important is a girl. He didn’t know her that well, the Alpha, but she watched him from the day she was born. And she hated him. There was no real reason for her to do so, but she did.

This girl was normal, except she was ambitious. Not powerful enough to be Alpha. Oh no. But she had a plan. A plan that would be executed long after she was dead, and she knew that, but that wasn’t exactly the point.

She mated a wolf who didn’t really matter. He was weak, unimportant, unnoticeable. She had pups with him, six, though she only really needed one. Her mate was killed by a lone wolf when her pups were very young. But she continued on. She trained her pups for one purpose, in all her insanity, driving them to the edge… and killing all but one. And his name was Irons.

Irons was different. Different than all the rest. He stood out. He was practically invincible, and joined the nobility of the warriors at the youngest age ever. That was about when he became a threat, his ambition driven forward by his insane mother, Ieona. The Shaman of the pack at the time, mate of the Alpha, had Irons’ mother killed by the priests and priestesses one night, because they knew what she and her son were planning. It was about then that the pack split.

Irons was hated by most of the elders of the pack, but the younger wolves sided with him. One day, Irons murdered the Alpha, and that started the civil war. The Alpha’s heir against Irons, splitting the pack in two.

In short, Irons won. But the cost was great. Only six wolves survived to carry on, leaving this ancient pack in a great distress. But they carry on, now under the guidance of Irons… The Bones Pack picks up where they left off. But now they have a new… partially insane leader, driven to continue the pack’s legacy. As the greatest warriors in the land.”

Joining

Pretty easy to get in, with the right Wolf. The Bones Pack accepts only the strong, or those who wish to be strong, so pretty much just send a PM to me with the following info, and we can set something up.

exclaim The Bones Pack is NOT friendly! If you wolf is dead or dying on the road, most of them would walk over them without a second glance. The few who would help would never even SUGGEST allowing a weaker wolf into the pack. They kill weaker wolves. That's just the way they are.

Please know the rules and laws of the pack, your wolf will have to know them, and adhere to them, or they will be kicked out/killed, very quickly.

What You Say in PM:
Wolf's Name:
Wolf's Picture:
Personality Blurb On Wolf:
What Makes Them A Good Candidate For The Bones Pack:
Possible Position In Pack: (Please Examine What's Avalible, and Know The Rules)
Thoughts On Initial Meeting: (Why your wolf decides to join, how they come across the Bones Pack) (Optional)

exclaim I'm lazy. One or two sentences is fine, but if you want to do more, that's cool too ^_^

exclaim You can either PM me, or you can post the form here, on the Bones Pack recruitment thread, either is fine : http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=11697865
