I know this is early but sometimes it is good to get a head start on things. I want ideas and suggestions for valentine's day stuff. You know we all want to do something special, sooooooo if we all chip in with suggestions then we can each become inspired. I know I already have a few things in the works............ Frederick's of Hollywood is awesome

We might do something, might not. Daniel and I don't usually get each other gifts or stuff for Holidays. Mostly because we don't have a lot of money. We're lovey dovey every day of the year, so we really dont need a holiday ^_^. But I'm not anti-valentines. If we did something I'd be happy.

I don't think I am doing a gift this year, but I did go all out in the lingerie department.... Romantic ideas are always welcome. Like taking a bath togethor and then add a twist like funny foam soap where you draw on each other with it... funny foam soap shouldn't be too expensive.

Assuming the mister doesn't work on Valentine's day, we're hoping to do something romantic. This is our first Valentine's day as a married couple so we're hoping to do something at least. We'll probably go out for supper at Johnny Carino's (an AMAZING Italian restaurant) and maybe get a hotel room (he works at a hotel so he gets any room he wants for $30 a night). Lol. I could break out some of the lingerie that we got as wedding gifts that I haven't used yet. Hmmm. . .this is exciting to think about!

We won't be doing gifts or candy this year, which is fine by me. He told me I can order the art print I wanted whenever, doesn't have to be a gift. I'll make him a card though, I like doing that.
As for plans, we're going to do what we always do, make a fancy dinner, drink champagne and eat chocolate covered strawberries 3nodding

Well, Valentine's Day is extra special for us, because it's also the day we started seeing each other and had our first kiss.
I'm thinking maybe meeting him on his lunch break, getting lunch at a restaurant together, then he'll finish work at six, so I'll have a romantic meal cooked for him and a bubble bath with champagne and chocolates ready!
I might decorate the house up a bit while he's gone, too... candles and petals, that kind of thing.

I don't know if we're going to be doing anything special this year, simply because we're both going to be very busy around that time. I do, however want to get him this. We're both big fans of Nintendo, and we love our Wii. I thought the Mii-shaped chocolates would be something nice for Valentine's Day.

You should so do that. Those chocolates are awesome. I know most people say they are busy on Valentine's , but why not use the general day as an excuse to plan something the weekend after???? Besides anniversaries what other holiday can you use as an excuse to do something super romantic?

I'm thinking about taking my hubby to be out for a romantic dinner at a local Italian place about a block from where we live, he loves the food there (and so do I ^_^).
I also got this idea to put sexy messages in bottles and leave them for him to find all day. I'll put one in the shower with a bar of soap that says "think of me when you're feeling dirty" lol. One in his car and another in his lab coat pocket, that sort of thing. whee (I just hope our housemate doesn't have to get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, that would be awkward lol!)
I hope he gets me chocolate covered strawberries, they are my favorite *twitch*
I'm also thinking about buying him this game that he really wants for our wii. Then again he isn't even finished with Metroid 3 yet lol.

I haven't figured out what to get my fiance yet, but both he and y'all can be assured it will be silly/cute. And, most likely a combination of my art and something store bought. I've really got to get thinking on this though, Valentines is close!

It's hard to get my hubby to do anything for Valentine's Day, but I'm trying to hint that dinner at an Irish pub/restaurant we used to date at would be nice. It's just down the street, so it's not much hassle. I bought him a little box with chocolate wrapped in literary love-quotes that I got from the bookstore. Perfect nerd gift. I also would love to just watch a movie on the couch. We have a fold-out, and it would be fun. Of course, I don't think I'm getting babysitting for my son this year, so Valentine's Day may be more of a family dinner type deal. Hmph. Not quite so fun! *grin*
Oh! I'm looking for a recipe for chicken cooked with rose petals... I had a nice one but I lost it. If anyone happens to find it, I'd love another. I absolutely love cooking, and if nothing else, there will be cooking for Valentine's Day.
