I think I may try to make an Avatar AMV. I saw someone post something about uploading the clips to add to the song from DVDs? How do you do that?

First, get a video editor. You can either buy one or download one.
Windows Movie Maker is a good one to begin with, but it will only accept WMAs. So, if all your files are AVIs, chuck that idea out the window.
I'm actually looking for a good video editor myself... any suggestions would be appreciated. xD

No, windows movie maker does accept AVI, Song Vegas 7.0 doesn't accept AVI's ;o

 Really? o.o Mine imploded whenever I tried AVIs. Made a full video with a WMA, but... huh. I guess I'll retry it.

I've had that happen sometimes, and I found out that if you have a long title to the movie your importing, it can mess it up ;/ I don't know why. That could be a reason.
