Valentine Romantic Avi Couples - Contest (One entry per member) Make two tek-teks to form any canon or non-canon couple in the Harry Potter Universe. Dress them romantically. Include a picture and/or a short paragraph naming and describing the couple! *Warning- spelling and grammar WILL count, so be sure to proof anything you write! Your entry will be judged on creativity, beauty, and cleverness! -#3 Luna and the Squid - GREAT. Really well written, in character, and a great Rita Skeeter as a Bonus. MY number 3 choice.
-Neville and Luna -loved the outfits on both avis, but not the red eyes and James Potter hair on Neville.
-Draco and Ginny - good story, well set mood - but what's with the bare feet on Ginny?
- Victoire & Teddy - Lovely, lovely couple. Victorie as sweet as can be. Didn't agree with red hair on Teddy - too Weasley-like. I'd have made it pink or blue, something more metamorphogus -like.
- #2 Molly and Arthur -absolutely smitten, even with points off for the creator not spell checking Arthur. I liked the story that accompanied it, as well as the beautiful picture of the two of them "30 years later"- really conveyed the joy in each other, and the love.
-Harry and Ginny - excellent! Laughed at the bell bottom flair on Harry's pants, halo a bit over the top. Great story, very visual and nice attention to detail.
-Lily & Voldemort sorry - doesn't do it for me. Lily needs redhair with her green eyes, Voldie is too Snape like - and could have used a Corallus egg green snake effectively for Nagini. I did like the story-rather Romantic.
- #1 Angel Lily and James. LOVED IT Would have liked RED hair on Lily, she's a bit too Weasley orange here, but a beautiful match with the great illustration. I liked the expressions of the characters in the "manga" like illustration that accompanied it, my guess is the creator matched Lily's Hair to the illustration, which has the Weasley hair (and makes me suspect it is Harry and Ginny), and could use black hair on James/Harry. At any rate, the tek couple is my number one choice. Beautiful Avi and heavenly, yet mischeivous atmosphere.
- Lily and Snape -well done. Good story, great illustrations, well done Avi. Great clothes on both couples, great hair choice for Severus.

Funniest: Luna and the Giant Squid
Sexiest/most Romantic: Molly and Arthur
Most Beautiful: Lily and James
Judge 3: Idril Nienna
Out of the couples I love Luna and the Squid. I especially liked The Squid and Luna Lovegood because it was creative and thought "Out of the box". Cerbera went all out, not simply writing a couple paragraphs, but writing them in the text of a magazine, even creating an avatar for Rita Skeeter. Further, the avatars fit the books very well.

Knowing Luna she'd fall for someone like that. The Rita Skeeter article just added to it.

Always wondered how Snape would react to this kind of scene. Great job on both the outfits and the small story.

Fivienne- James and Lily
Wonderful job keeping the canon characters. The avatars look like guardian angels. Without Further Ado --

heart Neville and Luna heart Neville sat waiting by the entrance to the great hall. He had plucked up the courage to ask Luna to the Valentines ball. It was still early, but he had a present for her. He made a chocolate pudding cake for her.
Luna came walking in and Neville smiled at his beautiful date. She sat down next to him and he gave her the cake. She squeed with joy and gave Neville and big kiss on the cheek. They stood up, hand in hand, and walked into the great hall.

DAILY PROPHET  Well, we certainly knew Luna Lovegood had odd taste, but this is a little weird. It seems the newest couple this Valentines Day is Luna and the Giant Squid! Now, how can this be? I'm Rita Skeeter, interviewing this odd pair.  RS: So, Mr. Squid, tell me, why are you interested in this odd human female? I believe you aren't even a vertebrate! GS: Glub gloob thwump gargle whoosh! LL: Oh, Squidy said I'm interesting, and he likes that I can see the Nargles too. Quick Quotes Quill My interview began with a question for Mr. Squid, but the pushy Ms. Lovegood immediately interrupted. She says the oddest things, obviously not right in the head. RS: So, then Luna, if you insist on taking the questions, why on earth are you dating this squid? LL: Well first of all, he's related to the Gernumblies, and he's helping me learn how to use what they gifted to me when I was bitten by them! Plus, he's just so handsome. Can't you see it? GS: Glub. *puts tentacle over Luna's shoulder* LL: That's so sweet! Isn't he just the most eloquent Rita? Rita? Quick Quotes Quill I left the pair babbling about grumblies and the like. Obviously, I wasn't going to get any good gossip. Maybe I'll just write an article about yet another weirdo at Hogwarts.
LL: She left in the middle of the interview! How sad.
GS: Glub!
LL: Oh...I see! We are alone, aren't we! You're right, I should begin declaiming in mermish, to practice again. I wrote a poem in mermish for you, my dear Squidy!

  All right, it was definitely a little awkward for Draco to ask his worst enemy's girlfriend to their graduation ball. But you only graduate once (although he did go through seventh year twice) and what's the end of your childhood for if not a little risk-taking? She didn't reply - he waited with bated breath - she still didn't reply. Stupid Weasley. The night of the ball, he dressed quite dejectedly, all in black to suit his mood, and huffed as Pansy, his backup date, dragged him to the dance. Naturally, though, she didn't approve of his sulkiness and quickly abandoned him outside, leaving him to sneer at the moon. And that was when she came, aglow in pale blue and white, coming out of the mist like a goddess to allieviate his boredom. Ginny Weasley. He could almost write love sonnets to her, if that wasn't too terribly plebian for a Malfoy to do. She strode up to him, smiling sweetly, and it wasn't until she was directly in front of him that he saw that look in her eyes. . . .and felt her lips on his. Later, while Ron yelled, Harry boiled, Hermione scolded, Molly screeched, Narcissa coddled, Lucius blinked in shock, and Ginny held his hand, Draco smirked.

TEDDY & VICTOIRE!
 
A romantic evening: The cutest couple, accompanied by a moonlit sky, a sweet serenade, and candle light; hold each other close on this perfect night. The dance ended hours ago, but the hours tick without meaning when they look into each other's eyes. Her delicate form, and porcelain face causes his heart to beat against his chest. His genuine smile draws her close, and warms her cheeks with blush. Their lips lock, and the world disappears.
. . . This will be a night to remember. . . .

Molly and Aurthur
 
She was so beautiful the day I first noticed her. Her hair the same color as the setting sun, exhausted from its long day of work. I watched dazed as she seemed to fly across the dance floor. I was startled when I found my self asking for a dance...and even more that she agreed. That night...the few minutes I spent dancing with her, seemed like eternity, for time seems to stop when you fall in love, for me my heart stopped...and jumped in anticipation.
"Molly will you be my Valentine?" 30 years later...

HARRY POTTER and GINNY WEASLEY
  All of a sudden the door to the Great Hall burst open and Ginny whirled around and saw Harry. Oh, he magnificent he looked! Dressed in a simple but delightful red suit and outlined by the golden setting sun, Ginny imagined him: an angel of love.
His presence drew the attention of others and everyone turned towards the rather conspicuous figure and watched him slowly and steadily walk towards the quivering Ginny. Well, almost everyone was watching...besides Snape who merely sneered and muttered under his breath, "Just like his father--he needs so much attention." Harry tentatively grasped Ginny's hand and thought to himself, "Well...this is it. All or nothing..."
He whispered in an unwavering voice, "Will you be my Valentine?"
Ginny's heart ascended into the heavens as she swooned, but Harry caught her in his arms. He pulled out a blue rose from inside his grand red suit and handed it to her. "A blue rose of impossibility. My love for you is impossible to tear apart." With that he lightly kissed her cheek and the other students in the Great Hall cheered.
Ginny was in Nirvana. What had happened? How could this be? What about Cho...Everything was a mystery about Harry, but that's why she loved him so much. She reached out and tenderly took hold of the blue rose while staring at the beautiful green eyes, hidden under those glasses. And as they danced, she pulled him up close and kissed him, impressing her sincere feelings for him.
Later that night, as Ginny lay in her bed, she held up the blue rose and with a warm, tingling sensation that coursed throughout her body, she drifted into a welcoming sleep, reliving her dance with Harry.

Good Ol' Voldemort and Lily
 
"Lily, oh dear, Lily! How I have misjudged your beauty." Voldemort cast a dreamy look at Lily. "Watch me burn in Hell. But this heat is nothing like the furnace of love that billows for you. Alas, I have not to give but a rose of black."Lily responded in her unending compassion, "I, too, have misunderstood you. I believed you to be a ruthless murderer and accordingly, you were condemned, but truly you are more than that. You have feelings...You had your motives that you felt like you had to die for. Now, in heaven, as I sit upon this billowy cloud, my heart goes out for your infernal sufferings." She extended a graceful arm, draped with a beautifully sparkling pink sash and took the black rose. Voldemort asked tentatively, "Will you be my Valentine, just this once?""Of course..."
FOR A RANDOM SENSE OF BAD HUMOR ONLY:
As Lily murmured her affectionate response, James happened to pass by making a crude joke with Sirius and Remus. "Hey!...Lily, honey...Why are you talking to Moldy Voldie down there?"
