 Aaaand, crunch, crunch, crunch, crunch.
Flip your head, crunch, crunch, crunch, crunch.
Lift those feat! Crunch, crunch, crunch!
That's right, Vasu'Raj was talking to himself. His mind echoed in a harmonious beat to his hooves. The winter season had left him in a constant state of boredom. For the moment, he had found entertainment in the crunch of the ice covered snow before his feet. Once his ears tuned to the sound, he found the crunch entertaining.
Lifting his feet in a high march, he made sure to land his left hoof, and back right hoof in sync. Alternating with his front right hoof, and back left hoof. He almost looked like he was in a slow prance. The flipping of his head, had been to the beat he was now drumming out with his feet.
What a sight. His father, quite the prancing show-offy type of stallion, would of been proud of Vasu. Hok'ee did it to show off. Vasu was doing it for the music.

 Cocking her head to the side Mapiya giggled softly watching the dark stallion prance. He was rather silly looking as he danced about. But a certain amount of silliness was cute. She listened to the sound he was making for a moment before gently tapping her front hooves in time to the rhythm he had created.

He continued on, closing his eyes so he could listen to the sound a little better. As his ears shifted about, he suddenly felt that he wasn't alone.
Being that he easily wondered what others felt about his silly actions, he halted everything. Opening his eyes, he found a cobalt colored mare not too far from his side.
He stood there for a moment, with eyebrows raised, a small o formed with his mouth. He wondered if she had seen his prance.
"Hi." he offered a short greeting. His voice was velvet smooth, but had a hint of something youthful to it.

Mapiya smiled at him, her gold eyes sparkling. Oh yeah she had seen his prancing. " Why did you stop?" She cocked her head to the side as she smiled. " I was having fun!"

Vasu'Rajs eyes closed and opened again, his head twitching back with slight shock. She was watching him, and wanted him to continue! His face would of flusterd red, if his coat hadn't been black. A little of the blush could be seen in the seagreen swirls that marked his cheek.
"Alright then! I shall continue on mam!" he said with a bit of play in his voice. He began to prance about again, this time watching the mare as he did. The crunch of the snow pounded a beat around him and the mare.

Mapiya's laugh was light and innocent, least he think she was laughing at him, she joined in the prancing. Tossing her head, she easily caught the rythm he had created.
" And one, two, three, four. One, two, three, four!" She giggled as she danced about enjoying the chance to act like a silly young filly for a moment. She paused long enough to nicker at him " I'm Mapiya by the way!"

Vasu was beaming ear to ear when he heard Mapiya join him, counting out a beat to their synchronized step. He laughed so loudly that it echoed through the desolate snow covered land.
"I'm Vasu'Raj, Miss Mapiya! Glad to have you join my march!"
Vasu laughed again at the thought of how silly they looked.

She giggled again happily " please just call me Mapiya!" tossing her head she began to trot around the clearing, changing leads every four beats so it indeed look like she was dancing.
She hadn't had this much fun in a LONG time. "And it's an honor to dance with you Sir Vasu'Raj!

"You got it!" he replied, a certain air of foal like joy spreading over him. Crunching a march through the snow was turning out to be very rewarding. He hadn't imagined he'd meet a new mare by doing so!
He laughed at the Sir Vasu'Raj comment. He could see how it felt to call her Miss no doubt. It just seemed silly more than anything. "And you may call me Vasu." he turned and winked at her.
He watched as she turned the march into a light, sure-hooved, dance. He attempted to match her hoof change every few steps. It almost looked like they were skipping along now.

Mapiya closed her eyes as she rocked her head side to side in time to the beat they had began to make. Flinging her mane she began to sing.
" Dancing feet, singing heart. Light and airy, fun and..." She paused laughing "Well I can't actually think of anything to rhyme with that. What do you think Vasu?"

Vasu was having so much fun. He craned his neck to watch Mapiya again and grinned.
He thought about the answer and slowed his pace, deep in thought for a moment. "Uhhh, fun aaaaand......sunny? Although, it's not that sunny." he skidded to a halt. Yes, it was still winter through and through. He shook his mane and turned towards the azure colored mare for a good look.

Mapiya laughed again shaking her head "no it's defiantly not sunny Vasu. It's all dreary and cold." She wrinkled her nose as if insulted by the lack of sun, but she couldn't stop the giggle that slipped from her muzzle, her gold eyes twinkling.

A smirk pulled at Vasu's face, pulling at the corner of one of his eyes. "At least you seem sunny enough." She was just that. She had a bright personality that could bring a smile to any drab day.
"It would be nice if winter would Go away." He said the last part as if speaking to someone else, like Father Winter himself might hear his plea.

Mapiya nickered her amusement as she slowed to a stop as well, her side lightly heaving from their silliness. She took the moment as they both caught their breath to observe the stallion. He was rather handsome if a tad goofy. But goofy was good!
"Awww don't wish winter away! I like the snow thought I do miss the sun. But beauty can be found even in the dead of winter. Come let me show you." She smiled as she turned to trot from the glade.

Vasu turned to argue the point of winter, if only mildly, but instead was left starring after her. He stood dumbfound for a moment.
She wants you to follow her, so move! he told himself as his hooves kicked up and began to move towards her. He caught up easily and trotted beside her.
He teased. "Where are you taking me Mapiya?" A wide grin spreading on his face.
