This season was beautiful. Snow covered everything, leaving a purity on the lands for a few months. Yes, it was cold, very cold in fact, but it was worth it. Ayelet had found it a wonderful experience when the first snow fall covered the land. Sometimes the snow fall was harsh, but still a wonder to behold.

Todays storm...was different. It was raining. With the rain falling during the cold of the night, it made a thin layer of ice of everything, including Ayelet herself. For the first time in the season, she found herself shivering from head to hoof. This was just nasty conditions for any soq to be out in.

Being a natural wanderer, she didn't know of any place to she could go to, in order to escape the weather. For now, she stood huddled in the bare branched forest line, wishing suddenly that they were covered with leaves again.

That was saying alot for Ayelet, since she preferred to see the night sky above her. She could do without right now, especially since the sky was just a dark blur anyways.

Noble Heart, too, loved the winter -- but he loved all seasons, along with the good and bad things that came with them. The winter was cold, but it was peaceful and beautiful. Even the rain which was falling now brought the chance of a rainbow along with it. He lifted his head to gaze at the cloudy night sky, purple and turquoise mane plastered against his neck.

He did not know when it would stop, but he couldn't stay in the rain for long, else he become ill. A chill ran down his spine, and Noble Heart made his way towards the shelter of the forest line -- it was then that he spotted a brightly colored mare attempting to keep out of the rain too.

Everything is always better with company, he thought, and changed his direction to approach the mare. "Hello there, miss," he greeted kindly, lowering his head in a slight bow. "I know the trees do not provide much protection in these days of winter, but may I request to join you under their shelter, so you do not have to stand alone?" He spoke to her formally, respectfully.

A chattering noise came from her teeth as she began to shiver a little. Keeping her mouth shut, she didn't give in to the chatters, keeping them at bay as best she could.

She startled her attention to a voice that rang pleasantly through the freezing rain. Her eyes met a purple stallion with a glint of a horn adorning his head. She imagined it would be quite impressive under the moons light or the suns glow. She smiled, her teeth betraying her as she did, by letting a few short chatters escape.

"I would never turn down the company of anyone. In fact, I welcome it." she responded with a gentle kindness to her voice. She wasn't overly chipper, but still had a friendly nurturing sound to her voice. Ayelet was a good soquili by nature, and had never run across a soquili she didn't like.

He stepped carefully under the trees close beside the mare, thankfully for the branches that at least blocked some of the rain. Noble Heart was still cold, but he hoped that the heat from their bodies standing close together would help alleviate their chills a little. "My name is Noble Heart, miss. May I ask for yours?" While he spoke, he looked directly at her, giving the mare his full attention.

He did wonder if, perhaps, there were a better shelter they could use nearby, but for now he would speak to this mare and keep her company. If the rain let up soon then there was no need to think of it, but if it were to last all night, staying here under the bare branches was not a suitable place to sleep.

Ayelet adjusted her position to give the stallion room to stand next to her. Being around a male never made her feel awkward, but safe rather. "Noble Heart." she confirmed as she repeated his name back to him. "I am Ayelet Hashachar. Nice to meet you." she said with a twinkle in her eye. She too turned her attention to his face, waiting for his response.

A strong gust blew past them, lifting the rain away to a light mist. Then just as quickly as it came, it change direction and sent a chilled wave of cold rain against them both. Ayelet let out the funniest cry as her curls swept up around her. It was her yell at the suprise of it, then a light hearted laugh at the sheer chill of the wind. "That was cold." she added as she looked at him with a nodd and a smile.

"It is a pleasure to meet you too, Ayelet." Noble Heart smiled pleasantly at the mare. He had been about to ask her another question when the sudden gust of wind picked up, striking the pair of them with cold rain -- he was startled, yes, but what startled him even more was Ayelet's sudden yell. He looked at her with wide eyes, relaxing when the stallion heard her laugh.

Noble Heart chuckled along with her. "Well, maybe this is not the best place for shelter... shall we go into the forest to seek out something to cover you better?" He would like to find shelter for himself as well, but he was the type to put other's needs before his own. Accompanying her through the wooded area was the least he could do, especially in the dark.

Ayelets peach colored face blushed with warmer tones. She giggled quietly. "Excuse my tiny outburst, this chill seems to catch me by surprise." The color faded back to normal, only being a quick flush. For everything she could remember, that was only the second time she had ever yelled like that. It was an uncontrollable reaction to the sudden splash of the bone chilling rain. Powered by the wind, that spray was brutal.

"I think your right about finding better shelter. I am however, unfamiliar with what might be nearby." She looked over her shoulder through the forest. It would be much easier with company.
