So theres this guy on my server (perenolde) who calls himself "Overstocked" what he does is he farms low level items and sells them for WAY to low on the auction house. for example: Today I checked, and the lowest price is 4 SILVER for a glimmering shard. Which reminds me of the other thing he does which really pisses me off because I'm an enchanter: Sells things in stacks of one. He does this so he makes more overall profit because people assume that buying them one at a time is cheaper than a stack.. He is just totally upsetting the economic balance of everything (But ESPECIALLY enchanting mats).
Does this sort of thing happen on your server?
Right now me and many other people are staging a full on boycott of anything on the AH with his name next to it.. stare

It's almost like that WoW southpark episode except with the AH and its REAL..

Since he is selling at a loss, if people are actually buying them then eventually he could be bored and lose money.
I have an enchanter and it is hard for me to get shards.
Think about it, even with a level 70 running low instance there are still repair cost (I usually lose 10% after 2 runs) so unless he is breaking even or just bored out of his mind, not much you can do about it.
Maybe he will sell high level enchantment mat cheap too smile we can always dream.

He buys everything cheap, and relists for a massive price.

Gods sake, glimmering shard go for 4g on my server.

oh noes, you could be potentially buying things at a low price!! I mean, think about it.. you could buy what he is selling and use the money that you're saving to buy other stuff! What is this world (of warcraft) coming to?!

i have an opposite problem on Steamwheedle Cartel. EVERYONE except me it seems is trying to sell crap for way too much money. I forget what exactly, but i found an item that thottbott said goes for an average of 8g a stack. i saw singles on the AH for that much and more. completely rediculous. and i've seen vendor trash being auctioned for several gold too, as if anyone would buy them. makes getting mats really frustrating.
Come back and complain when buying a created item is cheaper than making it yourself

Today, someone called me a jerk because I was offering free enchants while I level up. He said spam your own gear and stop ruining other people's businesses! then he ignored me.
But I mean, jesus, why the hell not? it's my mats, it's my skill points, why does he freak like I'm burning his pants? I guess I'm not selfish like some others, but I just want to lvl it so I can start DE-ing my pile of lvl 64+ items, and maybe finally earn MY money too! And rather chanting my own stuff, what if I want to make others better too so they can win BGs or something?

The reason is this..
The fact that he is selling things very low means its half good, because I can buy things low.. BUT It ALSO means that I have to SELL low to get anyone to buy my stuff.. This means I make virtually NO money..
