yeah its been bugging me alot, ive seen him in the old episodes, but then poof, hes not on any of the latest ones. anybody know?

Hes still around. Homer just hasn't got in any legal issues to be cheap enough to choose Lionel Hutz. He'll come back.

Lionel Hutz will never, ever, ever return. Phil Hartman, the person who provided his voice, was murdered a number of years ago by his wife. Lionel Hutz then vanished from the show, never to return.

Lionel Hutz then vanished from the show, never to return. dang, i would have never expected that to happen. this clears everything up. cause i was watching the simpsons yesterday night and its an oldie, and Hutz was supposed to help the simpsons get Bart back from burns, after he won the burns money inheritance contest. really sucks about Hutz.

In addition, Gil is now the lawyer for the Simpsons, when they need one. gil sucks at life. he only won about a couple cases. i think he won one. but i cant say for sure if it was only one. funny thing about gil though is that when he was burning in one episode, hes like "Gils gonna get food tonight!"

wow thats crazy! I can't believe he died, though I'm sure they could have found someone else to do the voice, all cartoon voices change over the years.

I always knew that he died. My brother just told me recently that he was murdered. That is heartbreaking. I loved his characters on the show.

he was so damn funny i think hes not in new episode because there hasnt been any trials with the simpson
