The bad news: there's going to be one more season of that dreck starting next Saturday morning. Ew.
One more master tournament. One more batch of losers. One more season before something good will take its place. Maybe a full hour of Foster's Home reruns?

Isn't that going on only in Japan though?
There might be a chance 4Kids decides not to bring it over to the US and Europe. Which would only be a good thing!

I can't help but look forward to Yu-Gi-Oh GX for two reasons:
One, the main character uses an "elemental hero deck" which is basically comprised of super-hero/tokusatsu crosses with megaman villan names like "Airman" and "Bubbleman"
Two, one of the characters looks like a grown up version of the main character of my old comic, FOGClub Adventure.

An hour of Foster's... ohh that would rock. Glad to see I'm not the only one who likes it here.
Yeah um.. and I haven't been around in how long now? Real life's just been busy, and such. I learned to almost enjoy sunlight again. Don't expect to see me back for, oh I guess another few months at least.

Yu-Gi-oh is terrible, cheesy, and really lame. I also end up watching it most Saturday mornings, mostly because it's terrible, cheesy and really lame in an oddly entertaining sort of way. And I'm morbidly curious about seeing the new Yu-Gi-Potter series . . .

Foster's? I'll have a pint of that... what, the 'FAMOUS AUSTRALIAN BEER' anyone?
They're currently showing YuGiOh during my lunch hour, so I end up watching it. Atrociously dull stuff, but the ridiculous hair is amusing. There hasn't been hair like that in animation since, ooh, Jem.
Now I want to see Jem again.

Hmmm... from what I remember, the last season of Yugioh was supposed to take place entirely in Ancient Egypt. It's the resolution to the Yami/Bakura storyline that started ever since the first season.
From what I've seen so far, this "final" season doesn't look like it's going ANYWHERE NEAR THAT. sad

And I'm morbidly curious about seeing the new Yu-Gi-Potter series . . . Er . . . okay, I'll admit that I'm guilty of that too. I watched a good bit of the last season on Saturdays at work. On the other hand I've come to love Xiaolin Showdown, I'm fascinated with it for some reason. I think it has a certain charm. Next they'll have a Yu-Gi-Oh! Grand Poker championship show where Yu-Gi will continue to explain his stratagy out loud and boast with phrases like "In just three turns this match will be over, for I will have a strait flush and you will lose!" xp

Well Yugioh will end and We have to deal with Japan's latest cash cow and Yugioh Spin-off, Yugioh GX.
So guess the loop is endless.

The newest commercials I've seen for the post grand championship story arc look a lot like what RSJ has described above. The current story is cast as a flashback with Yugi and his grandfather dressed in Egyptian finery watching a match between Yami and the Pharoh. The story of the golden items and who made them seems to be the key to the plot, as well as the pharoh coming to an understanding of who he was. I'm so ashamed that I've retained that much recall of the 5 minutes of the last episode I watched two days ago.
