Who here is a fan of the musical? My school's drama department is gonna be doing it as our fall musical (I hope I get in). The songs are great ^^ Did you know that near Thanksgiving time that there is gonna be a made for TV movie of it and Carol Burnett (the original Princess Fred) is gonna be playing the Queen (Tracy Ullman will be Princess Fred)

I was in this a couple of years ago (one of the nameless spinsters) and had a blast. It's a really great show.
And homigawd, I am SO looking forward to watching that! Carol Burnett brings me unspeakable joy.

That totally rocks!!!!!!!!!!! My first high school did it my sophmore year and it was hysterical.
Later on that year the chorus and band went to a music competition (Chorus got Excellent; Vocal Ensemble got Superior; Concert Band got Excellent; Jazz Band got Superior) and then we went to Six Flags.
We went to get on the buses to go home but two of them broke down (it took four buses to move us all) so my friends, some kid-like chapirons (including my mom), and I stayed to wait for more buses.
While we were waiting, we sang random songs from musicals and then someone brought out the CD for Once Upon A Matress and we all did the Spanish Panic!
It was great! Especailly when our Vice-Principle tried to do it and fell on his butt.
We made fun of him for weeks after that...

I love that play! It was actually the first play I was ever in. Good times hehe

Don''t ask me why, but my audition song for Mattress is gonna be Dance Ten;Looks Three from Chorus Line....hee hee (I thought, hey! Maybe it will show that I have a lot of self comfort and character) (My drama teacher did say I could do it)....
