Water droplets, everywhere.
Eridanus shook his mane. He had taken a dip in the basin of a river. He figured it was about time he had a decent wash, others would be getting the wrong idea about him! He dipped his head under again, feeling the cool water wash up over his ears and down his neck before pulling back and shaking his head again.
Much better! Eridanus smiled to himself as he looked around, his sodden mane sticking to his face and neck. It was a beautiful day, and this relaxing dip served a cooling purpose as well as cleaning...

Adaya made her way towards the river, her head hung low not watching where she was going or who was around her. She had been traveling for many days and although she had found plenty of food and water to sustain her she seemed to have an unending thirst.
She could hear the splashing of the water and followed the sounds. Slowly but surly she made it to the waters edge and dipped her head to the surface to drink, believing herself to be near a waterfall. That is, until the sounds of the water stopped.
Adaya raised her eyes slowly to spy a stallion.
She froze.

Eridanus splashed around somewhat childishly, enjoying the contrast of the cool water and the warmth of the sun. He grinned to himself before stopping for a moment. He could swear her felt eyes on him.
Turning around, sure enough, there was a pale blue mare. She was just standing there, looking at him. He wondered how long she watching him splashing around like a ridiculous colt. Grumbling a litle, his cheeks flushed with colour.
"Uh... hi there?"

Adaya swallowed her mouthful of water and raised her head a little from the waters edge. "Hi..." She said quietly. The male looked somewhat uncomfortable and embarrassed, most likely by her presence.
To tell the truth Adaya wasn't too comfortable herself. She wondered whether or not she had stumbled across something she should not have. "Um..." The silence would kill her mind if it continued. She adored silence, but the still, awkward, uncomfortable silence beginning to surround them now was unbearable. "Uh... isn't the water too cold?" Adaya asked simply to fill the air with sound.

Eridanus' cheeks remained flushed with colour. Thankfully, the first words out of her mouth hadn't been mocking ones!
"Urm... it's actually quite relaxing on such a sunny day..." He motioned to the sky. "Uh.... sorry for splashing around so childishly... what a bad first impression to make on someone!" He chuckled nervously.

Adaya looked down at her dirt cake hooves, her tail twitching because she could feel the grime. Her head still low, close to the waters edge, she herself blushed. How horrible she must look with leaves and twigs stuck matted into her braids; and here he was speaking of first impressions! "You didn't seem childishly splashing, I do that sometimes when the water isn't deep enough so I can wash my back." It was the truth, but it seemed to her an odd thing to say under the circumstances.
"I am sorry if I disturbed you." Adaya said more quietly as she seemed to realized she had stumbled across the male taking a bath. She debated on whether or not it would be rude not to leave; she was thirsty, but didn't want the male to be any more uncomfortable than he already was.

Eridanus eyed her curiously. A few moments of blankness was replaced with a thought; she was probably here for a drink, and here he was lazing around in the water.
With further embarassment, he somewhat scrambled out of the water. "Sorry! You probably came here for a drink and here I am splashing around!" He stuttered slightly. My goodness, he had made a right mess of himself!
"Ack, I'm sorry..... I haven't even introduced myself.... My name is Eridanus...." His manners caught up with him, the heart on his cheek still glowing. Some proud stallion he was!
