(( *squirms at the cruddy title* My brain escapes me... What that has to do with the roleplay, I have no idea. X3 Any suggestions, Taki? x-X ))
The forest seemed so serene... Well, as serene as such a place could be, anyway. A voice broke through the near-silence with long, concerned calls. "Aislinn! Aislinn, where are you?" Tess jumped on top of a rock to get a better look around. Obviously, her mute friend had wandered off from her by accident. Again. She didn't know why her black and pink friend always got herself lost like this. "Oh, well... She'll turn up again eventually!" Tess thought out loud. Instead of letting her friend's disappearance get the best of her, Tess decided to make the best of the situation and... Well, she couldn't think of anything to do. "Oh, this is boring," she grumbled as she curled up on top of the rock. The female hated having no one to talk to.

((Title sounds fine to meh XD))
Oran padded through the calm forest, his tail held high as he walked along. He had a day off from keeping Kuma out of trouble and was enjoying it to its fullest. He took in the forest sounds and smells. When he heard calls, he cocked his head and stopped, listening. It wasnt a call for help at least...

((Okay then. =3))
It was actually quite funny. The quiet never got to Tess when Aislinn was there, despite the other's silence. Maybe it was because she talked for the both of them? It didn't really matter in the end. She clicked her lobster legs on the rock a few times, and then got up again, growing restless. "Guess there's no harm in lookin around a bit," she mumbled as she unknowingly started to walk in Oran's direction.

Oran heard the one he had heard approaching, and didnt want to scare her by sticking his head out. He sat where he was, staring in the direction of the faint sound. He got up, and took a small step back, stepping on some rustling leaves as his gaze never left the bushes.

Tess squeaked as she heard some leaves crackle just in front of her. "Ooh! Someone there?" she asked in a sing-song voice. Not waiting for an answer, she poked her head through some bushes and said at the top of her lungs, "Hello there!" Had this been a larger, more dangerous kimera, she would have been in trouble. Fortunately, though, it was another of her kind. She smiled with delight and actually managed to wait for a response this time.

Oran smiled at the other lobfox. The happy mood reminded him of Kuma. He dipped his head to her in greeting. "Hello to yourself. Looking for someone?" He asked, cocking his head slightly. Well, she seemed nice so far...

Tess gave a pleasant yip and climbed out of the plant as Oran greeted her. "Well, yeah I am, actually," she said as she walked up to him. "My friend wandered off again, I think... She's a lobfox with black and pink fur. You haven't seen her around, have ya?" She paused and stood there, a hopeful expression on her face.

"I'm sorry, no," He said, sympathy in his voice. He smiled faintly. "I could help you look for her thogh...I'm Oran by the way." He smiled at her and wrapped his tail around his feet. Definatly no threat here, he could tell that.

"Oh, that's so nice of you!" she gasped as her tail began waving from side to side again. "My name's Tess. It's nice to meetchya, Oran!" She turned in a half-circle and then pointed in the direction she had come from with her nose. "I was taking a nap over there when I lost her. Maybe we should start there?" She casted a look at Oran over her shoulder, smile still in place.

"Its no problem really, I'd like to help," He siad, grinning. He nodded and padded forward with her, looking about. It was quiet and the only traces of life being here at the moment was the small trail Tess left in the leaves. "Hmm...she must be pretty good at getting around."

"Yeah," Tess giggled. "She's really sneaky... Like a big, fuzzy, black-and-pink snake, really. I think it's kinda creepy, but I guess it don't really matter." She craned her furry neck around to look for any misplaced foliage, but like Oran she only found her own trail. This search was going to be tough...

"Huh....not a trace...."He said, searching a little more. He sat and observed quietly for a few seconds before asking. "Where did you last see her, I mean, the exact spot?"

"Over here!" she squeaked as she walked back through the bush at a trot and sat down in a depressed circle of grass. "I was napping right here, and I thought that she was beside me, but...." She nosed a slightly smaller circle with her nose, just separated from her own 'bed' by a few erect blades of grass. "That was the last time I saw her," she finished shouting over to her new aquaintance.

Oran bounded over and looked carefully at the spots. "No trail...but perhaps...." He sniffed carefuly at the bed, then the air. He hoped he'd find some trace..a small wisp of the smell passed his nose and his head whipped around.

Tess jumped as Oran made a sudden move, and her armored tail wagged twice. She let her tongue loll out of her mouth as she gasped, "Did ya find something?" She flexed her toes, hoping that whatever he had just picked up on would lead to Aislinn quickly. She so dearly missed her friend!
