So what is your opinion on the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII? Love it or hate it? Anything you'd like to see done differently or added?

So what is your opinion on the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII? Love it or hate it? Anything you'd like to see done differently or added?

Truthfully I think the compilation is a little too much, but at the same time, which true FFVII fan would hate it? Of course there will be some criticism. Personally I regret buying FFVII: DoC. Heck, I regret playing it! Not only did it ruin Vincent's image but it sabotaged the story of FFVII. AC was good but story-wise not good enough. BC in itself is a thing of its own. No real impact to the storyline but it does reveal in depth who the Turks were. Of course, can't play it, haha. Crisis Core is the only game that I'm really looking forward to and expecting great things out of it. Not only does it feature Zack, but it also goes in greater depth in the past such as Sephiroth's behavior and Cloud's persona at the time and also Zack and Aeris' relationship.

DoC introduced someone who is integral to the storyline of Crisis Core, if you analyzed the game hard enough...in that respect, I love DoC.

G or Genesis, the character that was barely mentioned in a few files and one conversation in DoC, is apparently an antagonist of Crisis Core...which I won't be able to play...and since DoC is chronologically the most recent title in the FFVII story, the clip at the end of the game strongly suggests that there will be yet another title.

My only problem with the compilation is that they seem to be seriously neglecting Red XIII...

Personally I think they would have done well without Genesis....It's like adding more icing to the cake especially with fanservice...he is Gackt after all. I know that he is one of the main antagonists of Crisis Core, but seriously....they altered the storyline a bit to fit just him. I watched some clips of CC and it looks like *spoiler* he was one of the reasons why Sephiroth went crazy...something about saying that he was a monster...along those lines. Though, I wouldn't take it so literally...I might've mistranslated it in some way.

And yes, they really neglected Nanaki! Just because his fur is hard to render in CG doesn't mean that he should get about a second's worth of recognition!

My main and for the most part my only gripe is that they made the whole thing across so many different platforms. I mean how many people will have access (and including the money to spend) to everything.
