I want to know two books that your teachers made you read that you loved. But only two. The first two that come into mind.
Hope's Crossing (5th grade) Tuesdays with Morrie (9th grade)
Thise are my favorites that my teachers made me read

Nightgina Isle of the Blue Dolphine (forget author but I finished that book a couple months ealier than the rest of the class mrgreen ) The Giver (I don''t really memorize the author... stare ) Oh, I remember Isle of the Blue Dolphine! I was forced to read that book in school too, but I didn't finish it. We were given the books and a certain amount of time to read them every day, but I am a slow reader. So I fell behind in the chapters covered and was little more than half-way through when the books were taken up again. But it was so interesting to me that I checked it out from the library later on and read the whole thing. I don't remember enough about it, though. I want to go read it again now.
Another one was The Sign of the Beaver (Elizabeth George Speare). It just stayed with me for some reason, especially the ending.

ehh...can't think of any books that were mandatory to read that I actually enjoyed. To Kill a Mockingbird was okay, I guess...

In middle school, I had to read Island of the Blue Dolphins. In high school, Ender's Game, To Kill a Mockingbird at first. I had read all of these books. Then, I had an awesome teacher in my second year, who gave us Before Women Had Wings and Motherless Brooklyn, both of which I enjoyed very much.
Women/Wings was very good, despite it's name, which makes it sound really lame.
Motherless Brooklyn is a detective novel where the main character has Tourette's Syndrome. It's a little depressing, but really good.

I didn't have to read Island of the Blue Dolphins for school, but I did enjoy it once I got around to reading it. Very sad too.

Geez, which books for school haven't I liked?
Most recently I liked Founding Brothers: The Revolutionary Generation, by Joseph Ellis (It's for AP History, if you couldn't guess, not English xd ) And Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand Which I was going to read anyway, but then my teacher offered extra credit for it. whee
