It was a dark night the storm raged over the ever treacherous sea. Lighting gave light to what would have been the darkest of ebony skies. Waves churning with a fury unknown by the land dwellers, a frothy covered beach clung to the shore hoping not to be washed away. Only those with a love of the sea and it's grand vehement nature would dare to venture into it's path.

A lone figure stood silhouetted by the lighting burst in the sky above. A grim face over looking the sea in all its greatness. Not bothered by the storm in the least the only sign of life with in him was the occasional flick of a tentacle or two. A hat perched on a head with ears perked forwards stayed in place regardless of the whipping wind. A coat to match equally abnormal as the creature himself. The most intriguing item on this beast a double key perched upon his chest hanging from a string of water warn leather tied around his neck.

Davey Jones was a lone beast though he had long forgotten why. His only memory being that none liked a soquili with such a face as his. He belonged no where in particular for he was not a land dweller nor a kelpi, but he far more enjoyed the mysterious sea. He had left his home deep in the darkest part of the ocean to watch the storm where is showed the most power on the surface. He enjoyed this time, there where no land dwellers to look upon him with disgust or fear as well as the mersoquili and Kelpi stayed below the surface in safe waters. He was alone and that's how he liked it.

At least, he thought he was alone. There was a whisper on the wind of a heavy sigh somewhere in the distance. Something began to move in the storm, walking along the storm-thrashed rocks of the shore as easily as water flowing off the stone. Only a trained eye would even see the movement, its liquid-like motions lost in a flurry of white ocean spray and violent winds.

Storms were her favorite. It was like the sea and the sky were enraptured with each other, unable to tell if they were fighting violently, or perhaps making love very... pationately. Calypso smiled a bit to herself, for perhaps it was a bit of both? She longed for that kind of a passion in her life - being it ire or love, but yet she seemed incapable of ever letting anyone in. She had been a loner for as long as she could remember...

Davey Jones twitched his ears, something had changed, but what he wasn't sure. His head turned and with dull yellow eyes he scanned the area for life. Never having fear in his heart his eyes were not trained to look for danger so he certainly could not see the on coming mare. His solitary nature told him someone was out there, not being able to see them caused him to grumble deep within his throat. One that didn't wish to be seen or couldn't be was never something to look forwards too.

With a shake of his head, he decided his visit to the surface would be cut short. On a night as wonderful as this he wished not to be pestered by the stares of strangers. Slow and almost painfully he started forwards into the ocean's mouth. The waves began to lap against his legs and the edge of his coat. He turned once more to glance at the shore with his unfeeling eyes. Now closer the mare was in his view, he snorted slightly and raised a brow. Why would a mare be out in this weather less she was daft? His strange crab claw clicked begging him into the sea, but another part of him asked to stay. It was that part of him that won over in the end, he turned to face the shore.

"I dare ask what sort of creature, other than I fares well in such weather?"

His voice was deep and low, for someone not used to the sea's sounds it might not have been audible, but it was surely intended for the mare's ears. He waited for her reply, tentacles wiggling slightly in curiosity.

The brown mare's ears pricked and swiveled in the direction of his voice, her head following suit. Her eyes lit up in a bit of surprise at seeing someone else in the storm. She looked taken aback by his strange appearance - not in fear but in startled curiosity. After a pause she took a few steps closer, her fiery eyes almost glowing in the dim light of the night. Her mane and tail pressed against her body in the rain, accenting her curves, a glint of silver shining off the lightning from a chain around her neck.

"Who are you calling creature, creature?" Her voice was deep, almost husky, but distinctly feminine. The inflection in her voice, and the ghost of a smile on her face told him that she wasn't being insulting, just slightly ironic.

Davey Jones bit back an amused smile with a glare. His eyes traced the mare carefully no one had ever looked quite like her. An almost sea worn appearance, but she was a land walker. His eyes where drawn to the chain around her neck as the lightning glinted off the shining metal. He raised a brow once more, how had she come by a chain he wondered.

"I know I am a creature, but what you are is still yet to be answered." His tone was almost harsh and yet sounded like he was joking, which he was.

"But still I have never in my many days seen a Land walker in a storm as this. Your pelts are normally too soft to handle the harsh sea in her grandest moments such as this Lass. You have impressed me I will say that much."

"They call my Calypso," she said, after a moment, eyes narrowing over him. "And no, most land-walkers cannot handle the sea when she is at her most magnificent. She gave a subtle glance down at the waves at her hooves, swimming around them, climbling up her legs looking almost they were enveloping her. "I am chained to the sea, a part of it... perhaps it reflects the desires of my heart."

She let her eyes come back on the creature, an expectant look on her face. She gave him her answer, now she wanted one in return.

Davey's mouth opened slightly as he listened to her reply. It was certainly catching him off guard. He had never had someone speak of the sea the same way he did. He wanted to ask her more, but she seemed expectant of something.

"My name as long as I can remember has been Davey Jones, though where it came from I could not venture to say lass." His eyes narrowed as he watched the waves touch her.

"And just what are the desires of your heart?" That part had confused him slightly. Matters of the heart had always managed to escape him easily though. His tentacle tail wriggled in the wind, he was more curious of this mare by the moment.
