It is nearly impossible to get lost in the rogue lands, a saying Senatla came up with and always believed. Unless, the added bit, you actually have somewhere to go. Which was the case for this reddish brown lioness, she had wondered and now needed to find her way back. She was on her way to join back up with Kamaira and Roho and had somehow gotten turned around. That or Kimaria and Roho were not where she left them.
They were around there somewhere, she took comfort in that, and so she kept traveling, looking for her lost band. That was a few minutes before an idea struck her, if she waited in one place, they would either find her, or she could travel in the more comfortable dusk, so after finding another nice shade rock, she settled down to wait, and kept watchful violet eyes on her surrounds searching for new and old friends.

Abedari was travelling on his own through the roguelands, humming a quiet song that he had learned on his travels. The large, striped male, was always on his feet, traveling from one pride to the next, curious about their traditions and learning more to tell others along the way. He met many friends and enjoyed their company, but when the time came, he was off again, without others to join him.
Once a lioness asked him just what it was he seeked to gain from his knowledge and Abedari simply responded, "life". The male fully believed that sticking in one place tore one's abilities to live life to the fullest. He did not wish to be naive to the world, but understand just how everything worked.
Another perk to wandering, Abedari found, was meeting the varieties of beautiful females in each area. And on that thought, the older male noticed a single lioness sitting atop a large rock. With his always cheerful smile, he approached and took a short, polite bow. "Anything I can assist you with, lady?"

The vantage point allowed Senatla to see the golden male approaching, that coupled with the fact that she had learned rogue males were not bad at all, added to her lack of fear of him. Still cautious, something that was just in good sense in the Rogue lands, she stayed where she felt safer, the rock as the male came and spoke,
With a smile, she bowed her head to him and told him, "I am lost, my group was around here but it seems I have missed them." Looking around once more, she felt guilty. Having promised to be back shortly, she could only imagine how bad it looked when she didn't return. Having finally found a new 'family', she had to up and lose it again. The tip of her white tail twitched as a sign of her unhappiness to the whole situation.
Not one to forget manners for too long she spoke, "Greetings, thought, stranger." Exchanging names without prompting was still something she had not picked up quite yet; anyone could be anyone out here with any number of names. With passing company, it never seemed to be the most important thing to do, but saying hello was.

As the female spoke, Abedari took it as an opportunity to look her over to have a better sense of just whom he was speaking with. By her build, Abedari gathered that she was still rather young. For living in the roguelands, she was free of scars and seemed to be in good health. As she addressed the issue of being with a group, he nodded. That would explain why she seemed so well off.
Breaking his eyes from her and glancing around, Abedari made a sound to signify that he was listening. When she was finished, he made an offer. "I usually travel on my own, but if you would allow it, I can help you in finding your friends." The male was being a bit bolder than usual. But while the male enjoyed his freedom, he had realised that in his travels, he was becoming rather lonely.
"I will not take offense if you deny my offer. I understand that it is difficult to trust a stranger in the roguelands. My name is Abedari," the male spoke, a smirk on his face, "And with my name, I hope you would consider me no longer a stranger?"

He was very right on the young part, she was not only that but still very inexperienced. Looking at the lion, she saw nothing more than that he had green eyes and stripped fur. In the far past, she'd run from rogue males but now she was getting more comfortable with him.
His offer surprised her, just as Kamaria's had, the only two of the many she had met that actually wanted her to tag along. Before she looked too eager, she stopped and listened to the rest of what he had to say. Chuckling lightly, she told him, "Names can be fleeting here, sir, but it would be nice to get to know you, Abedari." One thing she did understand in this world was that it was by knowing a lion do they stop being a stranger, not by name alone.
Leaping down from her perch, nonthreatening and almost cubbish though it did have a lot of her natural grace, she said, "My name is Senatla, and I would love some company and help. Kamaria is white with pretty dark spots, like a leopard, and Roho is a big nice lion." Yeah, that was real descriptive, but that thought hardly curbed her enthusiasm.

In addition to what Abedari observed from looking over the female quickly, he could also tell more about her by the manner in which she spoke and her gestures that acompanied those words. She seemed fairly well spoken and level headed, which impressed the male. So many females in the roguelands were rude and easily fired.
And when the female jumped from the rock, Abedari let out a light chuckle. The female was graceful, but did remind him much of an adolescent. He felt somewhat bothered by himself for thinking of her as anything more than simple company on their travels. "It is a pleasure to meet you Senatla. That is a beautiful name."
As he made his way towards the female's side, he cleared his throat and offered the fine print that came along with his suggestion. "I must tell you now that I travel alone. I can help you find your company, but once that is done, I continue on my own way.. It may seem strange, but it is how I live."

With a bright smile, she told him, "Thank you." She liked her name, and what it meant. Even if she had yet to ever prove herself a hero, what her mother was thinking she'd never know. Letting the old bother behind her, she stood still and let him come to her, only moving a few feet to meet up with him.
At him saying it was strange, she shook her head and spoke, "Its not strange, that is the way of the rogue lands, I am glad to have your company and your help." Until recently, the idea of even traveling with anyone was strange, now it was a refreshing change, being alone so much drags, as she was once told nicely, on the soul.
Trying to think, she looked to the west then suggested, "I am open to ideas, but I believe there is a watering hole in that direction maybe half a mile. Its a good place to start and even if not, the water does no harm." Looking back, she looked to the lion for his opinion on her idea.

Senatla seemed fine with Abedari's final request and so he was eager to assist the female and find her adopted family. Perhaps she would reward him by telling her friends about his name and he could continue to be spoken of around the roguelands. He would never ask this of her, but appreciate when all others spoke well of him.
The female not only was alright with his idea of life, but also admitted that many on the roguelands shared that philosophy. This caused the older male to smile broadly. He wondered if she felt the same, especially considering she travelled with others. Perhaps it was her desire to explore and her unknowing independence that caused her to be lost from her company.
The watering hole would indeed be a good place to check. Wanderers stopped at most areas with water for fear that they may not see another for a good amount of time. Nodding, Abedari followed behind. "Lead the way, Senatla. That sounds like a great place to check."

His nice smile told her she had spoken well, at least something he liked to hear. It was encouraging so she returned it with a bright smile of her own. He didn't know how right he was, she did want to think of it herself, but that urge to wonder hadn't been sated yet even thought she should have learned better.
When he agreed to her idea, she brightened up and felt more confident. "Aright." Walking out in front of him she paced herself so she wouldn't be hard to keep up with. Company was nice, even more so when she could still keep moving. Sometimes, it seemed like a good idea to have a wondering pride like what she had, maybe one day she could mature enough to settle down. For now, her lack of a cub hood was probably what drove her try and have a little bit of it back.

Abedari could tell that the young lioness was pacing herself much slower than she was capable of. Making his way alongside her, the male grinned and began to speed up a bit. "Don't let my age fool you, Senatla.. I am quick and willing to manage a pace that you find suitable. If you want to find your friends, it may be best that we quicken our paces.." The male was unsure whether it was pride that allowed him to remain fit, or his strong interest in the females of his species.
As Abedari remained at Senatla's side, he continued to look her over. She was a rather stunning lioness. Her pelt reminded Abedari greatly of the Firekin. Remembering the stories he heard of, he shook his head. She was far too gentle. Perhaps her mother had been taken as a slave?

Senatla looked at her traveling companion and gave a nod and kicked up the pace. Young and fit, she could comfortably travel at a steady trot. The landscape passed by quickly, but the huntress was alert. Scenting constantly, her violet eyes were always searching for the group she had foolishly wondered away from. Would Kamaria and Roho be mad at her? The thought caused anxiety in the female, she looked up to Kamaria like an older sister, and she didn't want her to be mad. On the same road, she also didn't want them to be worried either.
She had much growing up to do; needing to mature past her wondering lusts, but it wasn't something she was aware of. When she looked to the side Abedari was on, her eyes would look past him, then to him. He didn't look old to her, handsome and robust as any rogue she had met in the past. He was also nice, it was hard to believe all those stories of rouge males being violent after the few she had seen so far.
When they got to the watering hole, the sun's beating rays had her at a light pant, not for air but for cooling down. Despaired at not seeing her companions that she strayed from, she spoke in a downcast tone, "They aren't here." Ears drooped; she made her way with slower steps to the water’s edge to drink and cool off a bit.

Abedari was glad that he didn't offend the young female with his comment. After all, most of what the male said was in good nature. Because he usually shared company with someone for only a short amount of time, he believed there to be no reason to ever become upset with them. There were only few occassions in which Abedari felt as though he would need to show the hidden side of himself. In threatening situations, the male could protect himself if needed.
From farther off, as they neared the watering hole, Abedari scanned the territory around them. It did not appear as though anyone else was around. Their first stop was a miss, but they could continue to travel and explore the lands as they looked for the missing lions.
When he heard Senatla's tone, he frowned lightly. The lioness certainly missed her companions. Joining her at the watering hole, Abedari cleared his throat and then spoke, "We did not find them yet, but I promised I would continue and help you until we found them. This would be a good place to rest for now. We can continue briefly in any direction to deem fit."

Senatla was a spitfire herself, if she needed to fight, but most of the time she avoided it unless she needed to protect someone, herself included. That fiery side didn't come out much because it really was protection oriented. To fight for no reason, even to stay and fight with an aggressor after her could leave her too hurt to hunt and dead of starvation, not to mention killed in the fight. However, to protect, that would be worth it.
Her mind was on her missing friends, her expression staring forlornly back at her when she dipped her head to lap at the water. When his reflection joined hers, she looked up to him. Listening to what he said, she took a deep breath and put a little smile on for him, "I know, although I do not wish to be gone from your company so soon, I held hopes they were here anyway." It sounded so rude to her ears, like she was trying to get rid of him and only using him for the company. He was nice, and she was enjoying being with him despite the wish to be back with her fellows.
Finishing her drink she looked to the nice grassy area, it looked nice enough. "Resting is a good idea." Turning flexibly almost in place, the feline headed to the area, the white tuft of her tail brushing against the leg of her new companion by accident. Softly padding, she reached the spot, testing it under her paws to make sure it was to her liking. In the pleasant shade, she first parked her butt, and then went down to lying down. A few moments on the cooler earth would be nice and there was plenty of room on either side of her for the older lion.

Contrary to what Senatla thought it sounded like, Abedari took her words as a great compliment. He understood her desire to find her friends and it was not by her choice that he would be leaving in the end. When she said that she still desired his company, his cheeks became a very pale shade of pink. When he leaned down to lap up the water, he felt rather foolish staring at an awkward, adult Abedari. "Of course not," He smiled, pulling back from the water and looking in the distance as though to cover his blush.
And as though Senatla knew of how he was feeling, she approached the grass first, allowing her tail to graze his leg. Abedari's face only became brighter. What happened to his smug smirk? Shaking his head, the male followed after, though was careful to keep his distance. It was not that he was entirely shocked by the female's words or gestures, but more so that he had not been in a female's company for so long.
"Nice place..." He said quietly, laying down a few feet away and shutting his eyes to prepare to rest. "We will search again when you're ready.."
