you need a river chocobo (blue) and a mountain chocobo (green) to mate and make a black chocobo. i forget what kinda nut you need. i think you have to mate the black chocobo with a wonderful chocobo. i think you can find wonderful chocobos up north by that village (forget what it's called). BTW, if there's only one monster to defeat to get that chocobo, it's definately not a wonderful one.
