 "Ther' th'r', th' 'ire burns th' lan'~" the sandy Angelic sung to himself as he trotted between the trees. "Wak' wak'! Th' nigh'mares are 'reeping. Com'ng, com'ing~ Souls, souls~ float t' th' catcher~ Th' DREEEEAMCAAATCH'R!" He held the note as long as he could, making sure he sang (or rather shouted) it as loud as he could. The male's pink halo bobed above his head as he flicked his spotted tails. What exactly he was singing...Well it probably was never a song, just something that poped into his head.
A song he made up on the spot in that messed up little mind of his.
Pullus bobed his head from right to left as he humed to himself, for the moment, at least until he could come up with some more words for his song. "Now whe'e w's I?" he questioned himself, pausing in his tracks for only a second to tap his chin. With the shake of his head the male let out a chuckle, returning to humming his little song.

Soon enough other sounds could be heard. Sounds that seemed to belong to a kit rather than the adult female that made them as she delightedly watched the effect of her paw stepping on the light layer of snow on the ground and then picking her paw up to see the print it had made. "Look, look! My paws make these little marks in the white! And yours make THOSE!" She pointed at the much larger prints made by her brother. Quin nodded a bit resignedly and stuck his paw in the snow and picked it back up when she tugged on his leg to humor her. She was having one of her "child" episodes again, and there was nothing for it but to keep her amused until her mind caught up with her again. "It's very neat, Sis. I think yours look nicer, though." Celeste ducked her head bashfully behind his leg for a moment before popping it back up and smiling at him. "I like yours!"

The spotted male's ears twitched, was that the sound of voices? Oh he hoped so. People to talk to. Nightmares, nightmares everywhere! Yes, yes yes. Pullus' tails waged as he pushed back his black and blue hair, duel coloured eyes narrowing. Oh yes, he could hear other's talking.
His humming stoped as he picked up his pace slightly, leaving messy clumps of snow and mud with every step. The Angelic was a little excitable when it came to the possibility of giving out nightmares. And well it had been a while since he had given one out, so why not now? No time like the present, right? A much larger grin peeled over the previous one, as he spotted stars in the distance. ...But wait. No, that didn't seem right.
"St'rs?" he questioned himself, as he looked ahead and then up towards the sky. Had the stars fallen? Did they fall like that in this world too? They did back where he was from, but never so many...Not in such big clumps. He was pretty sure they didn't fall like that in this world, or let alone at all. So then...what?
"Twi'kle, twin'le~" he sung as he crept forward.

And the stars on the pelts of the two kitsu did indeed twinkle, though it was far more obvious when they moved. The effect was muted in daylight, as were their glowing eyes, but at night they really "lit up". Quin watched his sister bounce around rather bemusedly before she trotted over and tugged at his ruff. "Brother~ can we play hide and seek?"
She looked so happy and wagged her tails so enthusiastically that he didn't have the heart to tell her no. "All right, Sis. Who's hiding and who's counting?" Celeste put a paw to her chin and then placed it authoritatively against Quin's shoulder. "You hide! I wanna find you!" With a brotherly grin Quin trotted off to find a "hiding" spot. He didn't know that it would be very easy to hide someone of his size and sparkly countenance, but even the attempt would make his sister smile and that's what he was doing this for in any case. Gleefully Celeste put her paws over her eyes and started counting, though she did some parts over several times because she couldn't remember how the order went right now. "One... two... seven... No wait, that's not right... One... two..."

Hmm, a good question would have been why there were fallen clumps of stars and no one else was around. Why hadn't at least one person come to check it out? Perhaps no one had seen. And perhaps if Pullus had been looking a bit closer he would have noticed that the 'stars' were connected to bright pink or redish fur. -But expecting the sandy Angelic to notice such things was a bit much (he never did pay much attention to anything other then what he was thinking about, very single minded).
"Li'le st'r~ 'ow I wond'r wha' y' are~" he cooed, as he gave his wings a flap, a dark feather floating to the ground. Eyes narrowed as he canted his head to the side, finally close enough for even those who didn't pay attention to notice the stars were attatched to something.
He quieted his steps as he crept towards the female. "Y'r a weird st'r." he smirked.

Celeste finally actually got properly to seven when Pullus spoke to her and she jumped up with a soft "Eep!" Then of course she had to stare at him for a moment - she'd never seen an angelic kitsusagi before.
"Star?" She peered down at herself and the light came on and she pointed a starry paw at her starry ruff. "Oh? That? That's just my fur!" Nodnod. She rubbed against the natural lay of her fur to flash the long glowing strands in the middle of the black fur at him to show him and then smoothed it back down. "I'm not a star, I'm a Celeste." Smile!
"...Are you an angel?" She peered at him wide-eyed with her question, completely and utterly off-guard. She was a very naive girl most of the time, even when she wasn't having one of her "child" episodes.

The male blinked, his head pulling back a bit as the bright female jumped. He couldn't help, but blink again as she stared at him? Did he have something on his nose? A twig in his hair perhaps?
His eyes glanced over her starry pattern, his ears giving a little flick. "Y' sure y'u a'en't a st'r?" he questioned, taping his claws against the snow. "Wai' a Cel'ste? Wha's a Cel'ste?" The sandy Angelic began to cirle around the female now, as though doing so would just make the answers just come to his head. "C'n't say I've ev'r 'eard o' one o' those." a grin.
"No." Pullus replied rather abruptly as she asked if he was an angel. "Wait." he paused, giving his chin a tap and looking up to his glowing pink halo. "I gu'ss I am. 'n thi' worl', anyways. I didn' die tho'gh. N't send fr'm th' 'eavens either." Another pause passed the male's maw. "Hm..D'you lik' nigh'mares?"

Celeste swiveled her head around to try and follow Pullus' movement when he circled her, a friendly smile plastered all over her face. "Celeste? It's my name." Nodnod. "Momma named me that!" Her ears drooped slightly. "But daddy made momma go away a long time ago..."
She perked back up when he answered her question, and she peered at him again. "So you're a... a... earth angel?" It was the only thing she could come up with. "Weeeell your wings are pretty, anyway!" Smile!
She tilted her head at his question, obviously wracking her brain for something. "Nightmares... the kitsu things? I've never seen one. Or... no..." Pause. "Don't those happen when you're asleep?" She just wasn't quite putting "nightmare" and "bad dream" together yet.

The Angelic made a surprised look "Ooooohh' wel' y' should be mor' spe'ific th'n." One shouldn't say they were something when they ment their name, not at all. "M'de 'er go away?" he tilted his head to the side. "Well 'lest y' kn'w 'er? Sh'me if y' didn'. N'ver re'lly kn'w mine."
The sandy male gave a shrug, soon glancing at his wings. Were they pretty? He never really noticed, though he rather liked the colour of his wings. Went so nicely with his hair. "I gu'ss th'y are." he smiled, a gentle wag of his tails passing for a moment. "'arth ang'e? Sounds t' ear'hy." He wasn't that fond of dirt, at least not as far as he was aware.
"Nigh'mares, li'e th' ones fr'm sleep. N't th' furry ones. Tho'e on's are...Well, n'vermin'." he grunted, he wasn't too fond of the Nightmare kitsu, and for good reason. "Nigh'mares ar' won'erful. So y' like 'hem?"

Celeste paused to think. "I guess. I never really talk to anyone but my brother and he knows my name so I never thought about it much." Her ears drooped slightly. "Well... I don't really remember much about her except for daddy making her go away when she got sick..." Thinking about that was forcing her mind to try and "grow up" rather quickly, incidentally making her forget about the game of hide and seek for the moment. Quin would probably come looking soon in a little while, though she hadn't really thought of that yet.
"Well... too earthy? Um... Well if you're not an earth angel and you're not a heaven angel what kind of angel would you be?" She was glad for a distraction from the previous topic. Though when he repeated the question about whether she liked nightmares or not she simply wagged her tails, still not having quite put two and two together in her somewhat confused state. "Well if they're wonderful I guess I should! Usually not much happens while I'm asleep so I haven't had anything lately to go off of..."

"Y' only t'lk t' y'ur bro'her?" The male paused to cant his head to the left. He stood there for a moment, simply staring, before his eyes had forced themselves to blink. Goodness! She was as bad a Niveus. Not talking to anyone, but her brother. What was with these people? She needed to get out more, talk to people, have more nightmares. Ah yes, nightmares. Everyone not just this pink female needed to have more of those. Not enough of those in the world, not nearly enough.
Pullus stared for a little while longer before he finally spoke again. "I sup'ose I'd b' a..Hmmm..'m n't t' sure wha' I'd b' ca'led." Not an earth angel or one from heaven. What exactly would he be classified as? A winged thing with a floating donut above his head? Eh, that lacked a charm. "'m sure s'methin' will come t' me." he gave a nod, before his features lit up. "So y' do 'ove nigh'mares!" he shouted, with a swift wag of his tails. "An' y' 'aven't 'ad one in a while?" The Angelic's brows lowered in a devious way. "Well I c'n 'elp with tha'. I c'n make y' 'ave one." another tail wag.

Celeste stared at her starry paws. "Well... most of the time. My other brother... he left when Quin told him to, not too long after Daddy got rid of Momma. Quin thought we could get away then, too, but Daddy caught us. Daddy... wasn't nice. He didn't let us talk to people. Most of the time wouldn't let us see them. So I only had Quin to talk to. If I tried to talk to Daddy he told me to shut up. Quin had to wait til he was big enough to make Daddy go away before we could leave. And we haven't run into too many people since then. We're trying to find Momma's family, but we can't remember where they are..." She stopped talking for a moment, because talking about that particular subject made her feel horribly agitated. She couldn't remember why; her mind had blocked a lot of things out.
In the end her tails started wagging when Pullus was done speaking. "You can do that? How? That's neat! I wish I could do something neat like that..." She pawed at her ruff. "All I do is sparkle... and lots of things do that."

Pullus listened intently, nodding to indicate that yes he was in fact paying attention. Wasn't too often that the sandy male did such a thing, but if something was interesting enough, and this female's story certain seemed interesting enough. She seemed to have two brothers and her father had gotten rid of her mother somehow. She continued to explain how she and one of her brother's had tried to escape, but they were caught. How her father wasn't nice and it wasn't until her brother had gotten old enough that they were able to leave. A rather serious look was upon the Angelic's face, as the female finished. "Tou'h past." he uttered, blinking. A not nice fater, he almost felt as though he could related to such a thing, almost. Pullus didn't relate to people's pasts. Never a good idea.
"M' fa'her wa'n't t' ni'e either. Kick'd m' tail, tons o' times. Stu'pid bugger." the male grunted, his tails lashing up for a second. "Well." he paused for a moment, turning his gaze as a few ideas and thoughts were pushed around in his head. "Wha' ex'ctly d's your mot'er's f'mily look lik'?" he questioned turning his gaze back to the twinkling female.
The grin returned to the male's maw as turned his snout up proudly. "I'v alw'ys been ab'e t'. -M' fat'er 'ad powers an' I jus' in'erited s'me I guess. Nigh'mares ar' m' spec'alty." The grin only seemed to grow as he pushed his nose up against the female's. "S' you wan' one?"
