Lunai was brought up mainly by her mother. Her father didn't stick around very long after she was born, and Lunai was never told why he decided to leave. They didn't talk about him much at all - they didn't really need to. Mother was a kind Fafnir, and had many friends in their clan who helped her out when she needed it. In return, mother would pray for their health and happiness, or make them fine jewlery - whichever suited her friend at the time. Being well-known for both her craftmaking skills and her spirituality, she was able to offer both services free of charge for those she cared for.

In many ways, Lunai takes after her mother. She is very spiritual, believing that her namesake, the moon, is her guide through life. In a way, she takes after the moon, too - quiet and reserved, with a hint of mystery. That is where she differs from her mother; Lunai was never very social. She tries to make friends, but it doesn't come naturally to her. She is very smart and caring, though, and is loyal to those she does become close to.
