I was in 5th grade Honors Band. I had played a song on mallet percussion, and I had to go through all these rows of chairs and people just to get to the saxophone section. Apparently, it took quite a while. This was all on stage, in front of everyone. redface

User Image Best friends means I pull the trigger...

It was last year in my all region band. I was suppose to go up and introduce a song and give a little speech about it. Well, the speech I got down perfectly, I just forgot the name of the song....twice.... Needless to say, it was pretty embarassing forgetting the song we had been playing nonstop for the past hour and a half. The next day at school all of my friends came up to me and were like, "Oh I liked that song you played. What was it called again?"

The most embaressing moment I have ever had is when i was playing my solo and I fell forwards out of my chair with my bass clarinet. My friends most embaressing in his orchestra(sp) was when he was putting his instumant up his pants fell down.

I was carrying my bass clarinet to me sister for practice and I tripped over absolutely nothing and knocked down three stands, fell over a chair, and almost hit two of my friends with my instrument.. redface

It was so embarrassing.

I'd probably say when we went to the Midland Marching Show Case my freshmen year. There were 4 people in my section and we had to speed across the field to get away from charging mallets. Needless to say I stepped on one girls foot and turned to apologize and ran into one of the other girls. (girls in my section)

After the concert ends the percussion players move up on the stands and sit on chairs.. My chair wasn't on the stand properly so when I sat I feel.. My brother in law caught it on camera..

This isn't really embarassing, but... In my first band concert, we were about to play the second song, but then I accidentally hit the rim of my drum in the beginning of the saxaphones' solo. I was blushing madly, so I couldn't focus; my rhythm was really off when I was playing. O.o My friends were looking at me with weird and angry faces.
Oh, and after the concert, I accidentally tripped my percussion teacher (and he was really strict.) But he was in a good mood, so I was safe. xD

Okay, this is really sad, but like, I remember one day I had to go to the bathroom like, ALL DAY. In the words of Juno: I have to pee like Seabiscuit. XD

So it was about two minutes before marching practice, and I was like: HOLYCRAP. x____x; So I pulled my friend over and asked if I should go before practice and ask if I would have enough time. She suggested I ask one of our drum majors for permission.

Oh yeah. Did I mention that I liked the guy?

So she ran over and yelled: "HEY! AMANDA (me) HAS TO USE THE BATHROOM AND WANTS TO MAKE SURE IT'S OKAY-"
I cut her off and whacked her upside the head, and she totally, like, fell down and did a somersault on the field. XD

Our drum major's only response: ".........Number 1 or 2?"

haha, that reminds me of something that happened to me. not in band, but involving band people.
So I really liked this one percussionist, and we were working on a project for world history H. It was a big group project, and how it worked was we were basically like, roleplaying. So I was a peasant, and Scott (the percussionist) was a Lord. So if I wanted to ask the teacher if I could go to the bathroom, I had to ask scott for permission.
So I was running to class to get there before the bell rang so I wouldn't have to ask scott, but then I forgot that we were in the library and ended up having to ask him because I felt really sick.

His response? "What do I care?" -_-

I don't have many embarrassing things happen to me IN band. Just akward things.

This isn't really embarrassing, but it was just a "GAHHHHH!" moment.
Me and the drumline/pit play a game called "Bouncer", where you line up all the bass drums on chairs and take all the mallets and try to make them into the waste bin about six feet away. Jeff, the drum major, hits a mallet wrong and PUNCTURES the head.
Dukey made all of us except the snares run laps at practice......

OOPS.

Ha. That's one of our drum major's names, too.
And I could picture ours SO doing that. XD

Ah....I remember I used to put my euphonium mouthpiece in this really little pocket of my backpack, and one day my friend offered me a box of nerds. (the candy) I absentmindedly said yes and put the candy in the same pocket as my mouthpiece. Needless to say, my the little box broke under all the pressure of my stuff, and all the nerds came out. The next day I when I went to band I found multiple nerds stuck in my mouthpiece. I was freaking out over how to get it out and ended up going to my band director.

Me: Uh....could I borrow a paper clip?
Band Director: Why?
Me: There's....uh....something stuck in my mouthpiece.
Band Director: It can't be too bad, let me see. -takes mouthpiece and holds it up in front of everyone-
What on-? How the heck...is that candy?!......urm....nevermind. Here's your paper clip.

My friends from band still tease me about that to this day. D:

there realy way to many of them. one of them that was prutty bad would have to be in 6th grade one of my guy friends in 8th played the bass clarinet. i wasn't paying atention....and i triped over the end of the stand for it and fell on him...of course at the time i realy liked him. and for weeks after my friends were making fun of me for it...

there was also in 8th grade my teacher made me play bass clarinet. well in the process of trying to find one that worked...the last one that worked was the one that my guy friend that i triped over had had in 8th grade. and every one new it because it had the clover sticker on it from the spring concert. they still hake fun of me for it.

last but not least there was one of the time we where watching a movie the friday after a concert. well i was sitting in a chair that i had tipped back and my feet where on a chair the was tipped back. lets just say i ended up on the floor as well as the people on each side of me. and all 3 of us had bruises
