GMud? telnet? puTTy? ZMud? Portal?
Which do you use? and why?
I personally use Gmud, because it is free and it is easy to set aliases, triggers, and macros. It is the third free client I have come across, and it just happened to be the one I nestled into.
((For the poll, if I have missed any clients, post it here and I will add it. I'm sure I'm missing a few off the top of my head.))

Well, my client story is long. My older sister introduced me to MUDs a while back and she used ZMud, and when I had just started, I just did it on her computer. Then when I got ZMud, there was the buggy version that would expire its trial, but I lost it eventually and I just used (I think it was version 5.55) and tried to use it as much per execution. When that was over I used gmud, but recently, in support of those who made ZMud, I bought a license for it.
And when I did there was a special deal that I got CMud as well for free. It's similar to ZMud, but more modern, but I still use ZMud from time to time now.

When I started on Cland, I was using CMud. Now I'm using MushClient. Haven't tried ZMud, but I've heard good stuff about it.

I would personally love to have ZMud, but I'm too poor to properly invest in it, and too lazy to pirate it.
What can be rather annoying at times is having my manual of triggers and aliases pre-set on GMud, then go to someone else's house/PC to MUD to not have them anymore. People who have come to rely on my triggers suddenly don't have them and die.
Maybe I spoiled myself too much by creating a character that's two skips away from being a full-fledged bot.

I use PeubloUE myself. Since I don't Mud, and just play on Mu* I don't need to worry about all the hotkey features of the other games, or auto-response protocols.

Like I said, until I couldn't find that buggy release of version 5.55 of ZMud. Anyways, I think GMud is small enough that it can fit on almost any flash drive(evel a floppy disk if you still have those) and a 64MB flash drive should be available somwhere for free(think promotions and such). Then it can be with you anywhere. Then again, I can install ZMud on one of my flash drives and then I'm set as well.
