Just bought it.

And love it.

I have always wanted to play the series really bad.

I am about to go into soem golem factory lined with explosives.

Also Golems and an Ice Queen?

Sounds like Enchanted Arms.

Should I download Wild Arms 1 from the Playstation store?

I have the game as well, need to finish it, it is very fun.
My brother wasnt so intersted in it, but I know he enjoyed the first one, so it might be worth it.

well its of the traditional RPG nature where you have areas dedicated to a set level of monster.

The monsters outside were childsplay though.

I need to like powerlevel for like 5 hours to get by in there.

Yeah. I really want to get Wild Arms 5 though. I have Wild Arms 4 and it was ownage. So good!!!

trust me, there are areas that become unlocked where monsters can hand your party to the abyss in a short battle.
