I know a way to make some gold. What we could do is everyone give a TRUSTWORTHY person there items to make a great great avatar that could win the arena so we can make some money and donate to the guild. What yall say bout dat. and also whoever gets the items please return them and like write them down so you know whos whos items. I think it could make us some gold.

Jeffu Not to bad of an Idea really. I like it. I can't say if I could give items or not. Cause these are the best I got and believe me it isn't much Yea I don't have much to lend but even if you do lend youll get your stuff back right after the person submits the avatar.

It's an idea, but I'm not too eager to let my items out of the inventory.
If somebody can give me a list of available items, I could maybe tektek something up for somebody to put together.

In theory, it's a great idea, but actual application speaks otherwise.
Avatar Arena is still a cess pit of rigged votes, biasness against color scheme/descriptions/cosplays/clothing choice, and "first comment hogs". I'm sure a cosplay might barely touch the Top 10, but otherwise...I rarely see good avatars make it without a LOT of extra help.

Games and Towns alone each can have around 1000 players at a time, give or take a couple hundred, and that does not count the remainder who aren't using either, and are instead in forums (( which could take a while to count )).
I'm not worried if X is trustworthy - I trust him, sure - but it's all in all a question of whether it's really worth throwing ourselves at the mercy of a careless crowd who just click whichever number they happen to like - more often than not, 1.
Let's say this: You have a character, and you give him a backstory - nothing huge, just a little something humorous for someone to chuckle over.
This elicits two responses -
Response A: Thinks your backstory is cute/funny, but absolutely abhors your avatar for carrying a Monkey. Votes 1.
Response B: Scolds you for bringing writing into an avatar arena, and without looking at your avatar at all...votes 1.
Seems immature, but that's happening every minute and every second with almost every avatar that does not have enough support from the right number of forces. If I went into the whole list of what could go wrong, I'd take forever to finish.
I guess what I'm trying to say is...we still don't have the firepower we need - unless we have more people on our side, or more recognition among forums, Towns etc., it's like waiting for a rare fish in the pond...sit and wait for a miracle.

That's a nice idea but I'm not quite sure if it will work
For many of the reasons already listed and that it's not really getting the items that are hard with the avatar arena it's making a nice enough avi
I've been wondering
Why would a guild need gold?
What do we buy?
I've never really understood that
