Ice Cube's my favorite rapper for a reason.
He's kept it real in his 20+ year career. But with age, you don't want to be defined as a gangsta alone. Nobody has only one side to him.
Ice Cube's a hip-hop legend. Plain and simple. But he's proven he's not limited to that with his acting and directing talents as well. He did hood movies like "Boyz N The Hood," and family movies like "Are We There Yet?" But what's wrong with him doing family movies? Actors take on ROLES. As in, NOT a reflection of themselves. That's the beauty of acting. He's damn near 40. If all he's going to do with his life is try banging with the young'ns, that'll be pathetic.
Regardless of what people think of his more friendly movies, I BET that none of ya'll little niggas would actually try running up on him with some bullshit. wink
