Story

Virtua: The adventure begins. Virtua, a world wide computer/online game, is #1 on the list. Only one problem, people have been disappearing, going into comas, and the like. There's a virus in the game that can do loads of things to anyone. The bosses have suddenly gotten alot harder than they should be, and the game world is spiraling out of control. You are new to the game, and are forced into the mystery.

There are many zones, such as cities, forests, wastelands, bogs, etc. Every area has a boss you have to fight sooner or later. There’s often a large reward for beating a boss, but since the virus took over, those prizes might not be worth the risk. Bosses are always looking for combat, and the only way to avoid them is never going to the area at all. You eventually be forced into battle with a boss, and there is no retreat option. That’s when you would normally log off if you’re a newb. But, the virus is making it so you can’t log off in a boss fight. Tough luck for you, huh?

Your character can be medieval, modern, or future. There are multiple classes in each time period, such as archer, gangster, or robo commander. Each class can upgrade to another class and gains you new skills when you level. Ex: Archer + 2 archer skills + class change to ranger + 3 ranger skills = Sniper (bow). Make sense?

(Hello? Anyone out there?)

"Welcome to the Virtua main hub. What can I do for you?" A robot said in a female voice. The robot even looked human, with blonde fake hair, a light tone of metalic "skin", and bright blue irises. The young man who'd walked in smiled. This place was sweet.
"I'm kinda new." He said.
"Oh, a new member. Well, you aren't the first. Lucky for you, I'm incharge of the new members. Follow me please." The robot said. She guided him up to one of the computer banks and motioned for him to step up to it. He stood at the terminal and looked at the screen.
"We'll need your name, username, and password." The robot said, and letters appeared on the screen. It was a touch screen, and the boy entered his information.

The robot picked up the wristband that pooped out of a machine next to the computer. She fit it on Chris's wrist, and then explained:
"This band contains all the information the Uplink's need to log you into the game."
Chris followed the robot over to some large, egg-shaped machines. There was an open one, and they walked up to it. Chris sat in the seat, and watched as the Robot typed in some info on the computer next to it.
"Ok, once you've linked with the system, I'll help you create your character." She said, and Chris watched the egg close. a few wires connected to his wrist band, and a helmit lowered down over his head. He suddenly felt tired, more so than he'd ever felt in his life. He dozed off, not knowing what was really happening.

Chris felt himself falling, unsure of what was happening. Then the falling just stopped, and he opened his eyes. He was standing on a corner in a busy city street, people walking arround him with no real purpose. NPCs everywhere, with few actual players.
'They must have moved on to harder areas.' Chris thought. He started towards a large tower, when someone tackled him out of nowhere.
"Hey Chris, good to see you in the game." Sabrina said, getting off of him. Chris got up and looked over his old freind, impressed with her clothing and armor.
"What class is that? And how are you level 3 this early in the game?" Chris asked.
"It's the Monarch class my daddy made for me. Not alot of people use it. And Daddy made me level 3, but I won't get level four untill I get the EXP reguired for levels 2 and 3 first." Sabrina said. She then noticed what his armor looked like.
"You went Spartan? I thought you were going to be a Mage." She said.
"Ever heard of John-117?" Chris said. It was as simple as that. Master Cheif inspired the Spartan class, and Chris was a major Halo fan.

"I don't see a lot of players. What happened to them all?" Chris said, walking down the street.
"She happened. If you lose to a boss, you're either frozen in the game, or you're trapped in a cage in the bosses lair. The cage was the old way of the game. You get thrown in, you try to escape, and you keep trying untill you suceed. But then the virus arrived, and more and more people are freezing than going into the cage. and now the cage has no door. It's been deleted, and no one can get out." Sabrina said. She then saw Yura ahead.
"That's Yura. She's been on for three hours straight without running into a boss. She's one of the lucky ones. She's at level four, and once you hit level 5 you're on the boss's radar. At level ten you get priority 2, and at 15 you're a threat." She said, and started walking over to Yura. Chris followed, eyes scanning everywhere around him.

Yura sighed when she heard someone. "Ya someones here!" She yelled as she turned a corner.
