Picked three good monsters for me already, I'll switch between them now and then. But I really don't know what to train now... Hence what this thread is now for. xd sweatdrop Old Message I'm not entirely sure what to train on. It's not like mage/ranged, where whatever monster with high HP and a safespot is good. Sure there's dusties too, but I'd like to wear a helmet and actual MELEE armor for once. Barrows actually. Profit isn't important to me, as long as the drops make up for the armor repair.
So does anyone have any suggestions
EDIT: Almost forgot to say, no I won't go back to ranged. Saying this since I know a lot of you will be like "ranger nub get out of melee" or "I'll give you a week before you go ranging"
Here's what I have/will/can use for training. Food/supplies isn't a problem, have enough food for it really. Would like to wear the entire armor, so no dusties. I'd really like to use barrows for once. Has to break even with the cost for repairs, until I can buy something to use in between healing. Preferably not crowded, though I play mostly at night, so it doesn't matter much. I'd rather not do slayer, it's getting on my nerves with the crap tasks. Prayer EXP would be nice, but I don't plan on using an altar or nothing. Seriously no dragons, trained on them from 70-92 Ranged, I REALLY don't want to again.
Also, I'll try and get some armor that doesn't break down. Like maybe a fighter torso and D legs or something, later on though. Don't plan to right now right now. Eventually, I'll turn this into a goal thread. List of things I'll train on

Eh, if one of the things you're worried about is dying, then perhaps you can use Fight Caves as a form of training. Although, I'm not sure of the rewards if they make it worth it or not. That's for you to decide. But in reality, you wouldn't need food or supplies in there and still get some sort of reward which you can save up for stuff.
Armor stand FTW? domokun

@Air - Provably do that for a while, until something else is thought up. I noticed I was specific enough, so... xd

Bombi There, edited it up. Makes me sound picky, but meh. xd Well, if you really want prayer, then do at least some training at PC. You can also go after Ghasts. They don't drop bones, but you get prayer xp for killing them. Also remember that when Sum is released, you could benefit from that. What you summon seem to attack along with you. Perhaps you'll get some bonus xp towards whatever you're training.

@Snarfwiggle - What quest do you need to get to them? Might go ahead and try. xd
@Chef Penny - I need Ranger armor for thaaat. Ranged is Icky... Doesn't mean I won't go try though. xd
@Airazor - Augh PC. gonk Though, I never knew Ghasts gave prayer exp... I might just go Temple Trekking right now too with the bonus Tome and all. Still protecting those guys gets so irritating, they die way to quickly... well, when I escort them anyway. rofl

You need Path of Goulphrie, I think. Warped Tortoises are my favorite monster, they drop rune pickaxe/warhammer so often, not to mention the noted mith and coal ore.
I got enough rune drops from them in one day for 512k. ;D ♥

I think so! Guys? Huh? Bombi turns around to find the hat of one of the people he was escorting on the ground. He goes to pick it up to find it was laying upon quick sand. Bombi: Hey, I wonder if I can trade this in for a phat set. It has to be one of a kind! rofl

@Air - rofl That's exactly how it is you know... though it swirls into something like "Wait here, I'll go find a safe spot.." Go find one and turn around "Where the hell did you go?!"

Off the top of my head...the only real thing I can think of is Abberant spectres. The Ranarrs you get from them would be enough for the cost of repairs....But you need mage defense armor to kill them.
I want to say Gorillas at Ape Atoll, but they have no drops. And you said you want a monster with good drops. xp
Last thing I can think of is Greater Demons in Brimhaven dungeon, but the wild dogs there is a b***h. :Gonk:

I personally think that Gorillas at the monkey madness area is the best training for melee in the game. Unfortunately, you wouldn't need barrows. Also no profit. On the benefit side though, you have a good 60k an hour.
