Character Name: Parker Lynn Taylor
Age: 19
Sex: Female
Race: Caucasian with some Italian ancestry
Birthplace: St. Louis, MO.
Current Home: San Francisco, CA
Occupation: Parker is attending school as a psychology major sophomore. To help pay for things she is a hostess in a restaurant.
Personality: Parker has a mixed personality. One minute she could be sweet, the next making your life a living hell. One moment she is full of mid-western hospitality, and the next minute kicking you to the curb. Part of this has to do with the fact that she is afraid of her powers, leading her to try and avoid contact with others as much as possible.
Power/Description: Parker has the ability to manipulate the neurotransmitters of the brain dealing with Pain, particularly that which is known as Substance P. This means that she can reduce pain in those on her side or make others feel unbearable pain to the point of insanity. This is not limited to just humans, she can afflict animals as well. She also needs to see the person in order to be able to hurt them in any way.
Greatest Strength: Her power can be very powerful especially if it were being used to interrogate or incapacitate someone who was attacking her or she was in some other kind of danger.
Greatest Weakness: Unfortunately, her power also scares her and so when she does use it she typically cannot control it. It seems to be linked to her emotions, and when she is in danger it just takes over. Her fear of her power leads her to not want to control it and instead pretend that it is not there.
Biography: Parker was born in St. Louis MO to a pair of upper middle class parents. She has a twin, Daniel, and the two are almost always in contact. Her power developed when she was about 14 when she “officially became a woman”, when she accidentally put a boy that she went to school with in a mental institution when he was bullying her in school. Of course they could never really figure out what was wrong with him, but Parker knew that it was her fault. Her guilt would lead to her fear of her powers for the rest of her high school career.
However, she got high marks in everything and was accepted to Stanford University with a majority of her tuition paid in scholarships and grants. She has always had a fascination with psychology and so that is what she decided to major in. As her 19th birthday present, her parents found her an apartment in San Francisco, which as about a 40 minute commute to school and agreed to help her with half of the rent money each month.
She never told her parents about her abilities, the only one in her family who knows is her brother, even though there are times when he thinks that she is making it up, he never mentioned it to their parents either. He is attending Pepperdine University, down in Malibu, CA.
To pay for her half of the rent, she took a job as a hostess in an upper-scale restaurant in downtown San Francicso, about a 15-minute walk from her apartment.
