It never really occured to me till my history teacher and i started talking about Andy Warhol and he mentioned something about Andy having something called Albinism? o.o
Or something like that, which makes people very pale, have poor sight, sensitive to sunlight and makes them have white hair.
Im just curious to be honest since he mentioned it, so thought id ask here.
Sorry if i sound like an idiot! whee

Crack baby crack Nawh he's not albino. He looks like it because of the white wig and he had a skin condition (not sure what). Underneath that wig he had brown hair, though (I think, correct me if I'm wrong) : )
Edit: Also, Bowie described him as a sort of reptilian alien because of the skin problem he had... haha. Must've been kind of...gross?

I have the VU rough guide! I should get to reading that sometime...
Were his eyes pink? Cause I think you have to have pink irises to be albino... I could be wrong. But, yeah I guess he was pretty darn close.

Well the only color photo I saw of him (he seems to be obsessed with B&W) he had blue eyes. So I dunno. They would have mentioned it in the book as well.

I think you lose the pigmentation of your eyes. Wikipedia: "characterized by a partial or total lack of melanin (black) pigment in the eyes, skin and hair (or more rarely the eyes alone)."
And Warhol suffered from Vitiligo, the loss of pigmentation in the skin.

Yeah, my ex girlfriend's sister has sort of the same thing. She's has platinum blonde hair, and really light blue eyes and she can't tan at all.
