the tank itself needs a few touch-ups, but we will worry about that AFTER we get it all decorated and cycling. i'm also going to home depot to get some acrylic glass to use as the clear hood.

that is all i have for now. we are going out to get sand, rocks, slate, etc this saturday so i'll try to have pics up between the saturday after, or the saturday after that. sorry, but it'll take a while to get it all set up, and i currently don't have too much time on my hands since i have to study for finals. possibly if i get some time i will post pics sooner of progress made (if any) so stay posted. i think i'll get lava rocks. they seem better looking with my snow white socolofi to me. possibly black slate. . . i'm still deciding. any advice will be great. thanks! and just for those who are wondering, the stand doesn't shake. we checked that before we bought the tank.

Damn, those are some huge rocks. What kind of fish are you planning to keep in there? Are you going to plant it, or is this all the decoration they'll get? Nice rocks though xd

Oh wow, I'm jealous. I hope someday I will know enough about fish so I could get that big of a tank.
And...Those are some HUGE rocks. They look real good though.

Where'd you get your rocks from?? I'm looking for some rocks to put into my future tank. Looking now even before i've actually gotten the tank because i'll need LOTS of them... so i thought i might start a collection now. I thought about buying rocks but they're expensive... and well... just rocks... I went around my neighbourhood looking for rocks but couldn't find any suitable ones. At least i'm not sure if they're suitable. =( I was told any sort of sedimentary rock was bad? Slate was good but i wasn't sure if the rocks i found were actually slate. They're snappable and you can write on the ground with them?
