It'd been a long day at work, one that had managed to make the onion Sin a little more psised than usual. Still in her work outfit (Which drew her no end of rude comments by various men), Mignon pushed her way into the bar. Maybe she'd luck out and she'd find a bartender that wouldn't care about a little thing like ID.

Luckily for Mignon, there just happened to be one such bartender on staff. Said bartender was one of two working that night, and, unlike the other, actually seemed to be enjoying being there. He kept up a constant banter of conversation with the small crowd around the end of the bar he was covering, and seemed to be playing some sort of game with them, winning several bets and earning himself a hefty pile of tips in the process.
At a request from one of the women in the group, a laughing Lyrus pulled a glass from the rack and, to the amazement of his little crowd, began deftly weaving a pattern through the glass. It was only a simple pattern, but it did add a lovely flair to the glass, especially once it was filled with some brightly colored mixed beverage. Bets were finalized as he passed the glass over to the woman, and every eye in the little group fixed on the glass as she took a small sip...then shook her head in disbelief and laughed an 'It's perfect!'
Lyrus, smirking, took a bow and gathered his winnings. "Who's next?"

Mignon had watched the entire display, shaking her head. That boy knew how to use his talents, he did.
"Well, Stud." She called, pushing her way through the crowd. "How about me?"

He knew that voice. He knew that face. He...liked that tightly-fitting shirt. "Mignon! You came to visit me." Lyrus gestured for the small crowd to make way for the girl, which they did with some reluctance, some amusement. "I'm up for a challenge. What'll it be, sweetheart?"

Laughing, Mignon leaned against the bar, though she had to stand on her toes to not look like a child doing so. "Hmmm... A challenge? Fine. Why don you surprise me with something I like." She said, grinning. "You know what a fickle b***h I am."

"Fickle indeed." Nonetheless, his smirk remained. He caught her eyes for a long moment, then seemed to make a decision and went to work, pulling another glass down from the rack. This one he spent a bit more time on than the previous woman's, forming elegant patterns all down the glass and, when finished, signing the base with a flourish of one finger. Already bets were being placed.
Into the decorated glass he poured portions of vodka, a melon liqueur, and pineapple juice, then added a few chunks of pineapple and a single cherry to top it off before passing the glass over to Mignon. "Try it. Tell me what you think."

Giggling a bit at the bets, Mignon took the glass, admiring the work. Oh, my. Such a talent he had. She took a sip and tilted her head, raising an eyebrow. Hmmm...
"Knew you knew me." She said, taking another drink and humming happily. Yay, fruity girly drinks~

"And I win again." He seemed pleased, though he hadn't actually placed any bet himself that round. That didn't really matter. It was good just to see Mignon again.
"What brings you to my corner of the city, Mignon? Were you really looking for me?" He liked to think so. He doubted it, but he liked to think so.

Mig smiled, sipping her drink. "Had a not so fun day at work, and I thought to myself: Now, who could perk my mood up? And I remembered you lived around here, and I know you love to party, so, thought I might as well try my luck." She smiled at him over the drink.
"Good seeing you again, stud."

Ah, so she was looking for him. Or claimed as much. That was enough for him. The little crowd seemed to realize that the show had ended for now and was beginning to taper off with their respective drinks. Lyrus, meanwhile, stole a glance down towards the other bartender before fixing himself a beer from the tap.
"Good seeing you," he responded with a nod before taking a sip from his drink. "I'd been meaning to hunt you down, but I've been busy between here and my own shop... That should change soon, however. If I play my cards right."

"Mmhm. Life gets in the way sometimes." Mig said, popping a chunk of pinapple in her mouth.
"Your own shop, huh?" She asked, watching him with a little smile on her face.

"I didn't tell you about that?" He raised a brow, helping himself to another sip of his beer. He could take a short break to chat with a good friend.
"Remember my apartment? I own the shop beneath it. It's not much, but it's an extra bit of income... Work there during the day, work here for evenings."

"What I remember, we didn't do too much talking when I was at your place." Mignon grinned at him, reaching over to squeeze his arm. "But that sounds like something you'd be good at. Having a place of you own. You ever need any help, you call me. I can always drop by and give you a hand."

"True." His smirk returned with the memory, and he shifted his arm to take her hand instead, giving it a quick squeeze. "You'll have to come over some time so I can give you the grand tour. And I might take you up on that. This new place I might apply to, they open earlier. I doubt I'd be able to hold up the shop and that at the same time."
He paused briefly, considering the idea, then seemed to come to some completely unrelated conclusion. Releasing her hand, he slipped his hand into his pocket and fished around, soon drawing out...a paper clip. A green paper clip, but a paper clip nontheless. He held it up for Mignon's inspection as if performing some magic trick, but rather than doing anything with it, called out over the music towards a few people who he recognized from his group of followers. "Oi, help me out a bit?"
The trio seemed interested and migrated back his way, as if expecting the performance and betting to resume, but Lyrus simply held up the paper clip. "I'm taking trade offers on this one-of-a-kind, green, myself-touched paper clip. Best offer wins this marvelous paper-holding contraption and my undying gratitude."
The trio seemed more amused than impressed by the offer, but Lyrus hadn't been aiming for complete seriousness. They also seemed to expect some sort of trick with the trade, almost as if the paper clip really were something special and were suddenly going to morph into a beautiful statue, just as the glasses did. Soon enough, one woman began digging through her purse, finally drawing out a flashy, decorated lighter with an incandescent lionfish on the side and holding it towards Lyrus. "How's this?"
"Thank you, sweetheart." He plucked the lighter from her hand and passed over the paper clip, flipping the lighter on. The flame was green. Awesome. He glanced back to Mignon, quirking a brow, then towards the group again. "Okay, best offer for the lighter?"

One eyebrow raised, Mignon watched Lyrus with a slightly amused smile on her face. She sipped her drink, giggling slightly at the flame. How interesting!
