~Of Crisis and Criminals~
Months after the incidents with Vayne Solidor, Ivalice has been at peace.
Ish.
Or at least it was at peace until a strange ship suddenly attacked Dalmasca. It could not be identified, nor did anyone have any idea who could have been on it. So naturally, each different kingdom, empire, and small town began pointing fingers at each other.
This attack was followed by others, most by the same ship sometimes accompanied by others identical to it.
And Larsa Solidor, the current emperor of Archadia soon after received a letter explaining that Archadia would be the next target in exactly a month.
The letter was signed ‘Gamble’.
Once news of the letter reached the ears of Lady Ashe, she did her best to locate their sky-pirating acquaintances and ask them for help.
But Balthier, even with the fate of his home and possibly the rest of the world hanging by a thread, is not one to drop everything and be heroic unless given a good reason.
And the attacks keep coming.
And Gamble, whoever that may be, has still not been found.
The month deadline draws near.

Quickenings:Flame Kingdom: The area around Shelinda and her target burst into flames. Twenty fiery birds come down from the sky attacking the target.
Blood War: Shelinda raises up onto a platform and the whole ground under the platform crumbles and the target falls into a pit of darkness.
Luck and Fail: This attack is 50 50 It'll either hurt the target and cast meotriod(sp?) or take all of Shelinda HP and KO her

Marriott Bright looked down from her ship, into the city of Rabanastre. What a cute little place that was. After dropping off a few crates of stolen manufactured nethicite and chempcal compounds to her mother, she had some time to kill. Maybe some shopping.
She liked shopping.
Alas, she didn't really have an gil. She'd have to steal some later. the ship suddenly lurched to the side, and the readout blared red.
"Eh...?" She murmured, leaning over it.
Again it lurched, this time downward...
And began falling steadily into the plains around Dalmasca.
"Oh bugger..."

Ashe stared out across the plains.
She had joined the soldiers on patrol, claiming to need some fresh air, but the truth was that she was bored. She was truly happy that Dalmasca had kept peace for so long, but there was nothing to do with it. She wished that, not for the first time, that she could go on another adventure- one that left her breathless, not knowing what to expect. But upholding her royal dignity, she dared not breath a whisper of this to anyone.
Behind her, a soldier shifted, shielding his eyes against the sun. He froze for a second, then frantically gestured to his queen. "Your majesty! An airship just crash-landed!"
Ashe turned, seeing the trail of smoke. Thinking swiftly, she said, "Two of you, return to the palace to get the doctor. The rest, follow me."
They saluted, running off to carry out thier task. Ashe hurried after her escorts, wondering just what had happened.

Marriott was actually quite used to mid-air malfunctions. She had outfitted the ship with a large number of air bags that would activate on contact.
The problem with that was that there were so many it was very hard to get out of the airship after the crash. She squirmed around, sandwiched between air-filled burlap sacks until she finally broke the surface.
"Ouch." She murmured, getting out to examine the damage. It seemed fine, nothing unfixable. Now, had anyone seen or heard the crash? Very likely.
If any authorities were to find her here, there would be trouble.
"What a fine mess I've gotten myself into. Hm. What to do, what to do..."

Ashe scrambled down the hillside, heading quickley to the wrecked airship. Her guards followed after, trying to keep up with thier concerend Queen. Going over to the airship, she helped the occupant out. "Are you injured?" she asked, concern evident in her voice. "What happened?"

She looked at the woman as if she were crazy. And she probably was, this was Dalmasca after all. Those skimpily-clad Dalmascans would help anyone while Archadians would just leave your there to die.
Ah well, she still loved good old Archades.
It seemed that the woman didn't recognize her. Then, she was only number two on the most wanted list right now under Balthier Bunansa. Damn him. She really, really would have loved to shoot him and his damn Strahl clear out of the sky and take his spot...
"Eh...no, I'm fine thanks." She said honestly with a pathetic grin, trying her best to hide her face.
"The ship just got a bit out of control, all taken care of. Nothin' to see here..."

Shelinda was munching on a sandwich as she was walking down the street. She looked up and seen a descending airship in the sky. "Oh no..." She dropped her sandwich onto the street and ran towards where she thought the airship would land. "Only if I wasn't stuck in Rabanastre!!!" She screamed at herself as her boots were clacking against the cobblestone street.

Shelinda running came to a jog as she seen the other person make a run for it. "Mhmm..." She looked over and seen Ashe. Great...this is all she needed. She took off towards the way the other went hoping to find answers

After a while of running, and when she was pretty sure she was far enough away from the Dalmascans that she could get back to her ship in fair time without being attacked, she turned back to find someone following her.
"There a reason you're on my tail?" She asked simply, and stopped. The woman looked older than her. Oh yes, this was that Dalmascan pirate that grouped with the bounty hunter.
"Oh, I heard of you. You're that lass who wants to get her mits on my arch enemy, eh?"
