HOORAY FOR KATSU'S ALL TIME FAVORITE! heart  absoluteanime.com Tenchi Muyo! is an action/comedy based around Tenchi Masaki, a high school student. In the OVA, Tenchi accidently releases the "demon" Ryoko from a cave near his grandfather's shrine in the mountain. After Ryoko realizes who Tenchi really is, (his ancestor was the one who locked her in the cave), she begins to play with or terrorize Tenchi, depending on how you look at it; she's in love with him though. Luckily, Tenchi isn't really a normal guy either -- if he can just figure out why he is not normal, that is. To make matters worse, Ryoko is being hunted by the crown princess of Jurai, Ayeka. Sasami, Ayeka's little sister, barges in and joins in the fun, along with Mihoshi (a Galaxy Police officer- 4th episode) and Washu aka The Greatest Scientist In the Universe This post is about the Original Tenchi anime, but feel free to talk about any of them! Tenchi Muyo! Tenchi Universe Tenchi in Tokyo Tenchi Muyo: GXP Tenchi Muyo: Ryo-ohki and even the movies, and spin-offs! [ Mihoshi Special and Pretty Sammy ] So, who loves Tenchi???? Who do you want Tenchi to be with??? Who's your fav character??? MEOW? Tenchi is the anime that got me into the ...well anime world. Back when it was on Toonami :33. To me, it doesn't get better than this series. But that's just me. My favorite character BY FAR is Ryoko. Aeka can die. Washu is really awesome too, as is Sasami. Favorite couple - Ryoko x Tenchi!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Canvass I heart Washuu That said, Tenchi is a wonderful series to me, liked it from the very beginning. Me too!!! :3 I have Muyo on DVD, watch it all the time, it never gets old heart and Washu is friggin awesome xDDD

Awww~ the first anime I ever waatched! And Ryoko lol... the first tsundere-ish character I liked! First fanfiction I ever read! Tenchi Muyo was so many firsts for me and I have so many good memories of this show hehe heart . I used to record every episode they showed when they had it on Toonami 7 years ago or so... then I accidentally recorded over my favorite episode... omgwtf xp

Swefn Awww~ the first anime I ever waatched! And Ryoko lol... the first tsundere-ish character I liked! First fanfiction I ever read! Tenchi Muyo was so many firsts for me and I have so many good memories of this show hehe heart . I used to record every episode they showed when they had it on Toonami 7 years ago or so... then I accidentally recorded over my favorite episode... omgwtf xp Tenchi was a lot of firsts for me too - first to read and write fanfiction for, first to watch [ besides sailor moon ], first to draw fan art for, first to buy on DVD.... Awww! I'm sorry to hear you recorded over your fav eps!!! D; Which'un was it??? =o @chakra1 - xDD! You and me both. Tenchi = heart

Haven't watched it in years!
I always prefered Ryoko to Aeka. Aeka was too prissy and uptight for me but she was fun.
And Washu, boy, Washu rofl
As ever I'm not really all that into romance but Tenchi is one of the few exceptions in any medium to keep me watching despite it.

Lapinporokoira Haven't watched it in years! I always prefered Ryoko to Aeka. Aeka was too prissy and uptight for me but she was fun. And Washu, boy, Washu rofl As ever I'm not really all that into romance but Tenchi is one of the few exceptions in any medium to keep me watching despite it. Yeah same here, to me it has a great balanace between different stuff like romance and humor, etc. Aeka was a b***h ^^; can't stand her.

I think I remember this.
It used to run on CN, then got moved to a three in the morning time slot, then canceled.
The same thing happened to so many good animes.

I remember watching Tenchi on Toonami when it was on the afternoon. I enjoyed the series. Washu was my favorite character from the series.

Lol, that's from Tenchi Universe. which is a re-telling of Tenchi Muyo! but, same diff =P Kenohki and Ryo-ohki are ADORABLEE <3333 I think my favorite eps would have to be from Muyo, andddd.....favorite episode......I think it'd be the one where they find Washu :3 Though Universe is technically a re-telling of Muyo, there's so many differences o_O I can't remember what my fav eps of Universe would be, I just only recently re-watched it, though i love the eps w/Kenohki and Ryo-ohki together!!! So cute x333
