...I need to be the best...
(A dirt path south of Glasgow, Scotland)
"This is s**t...", Ryosuke mumbled as he exhaled, tired arms tucked underneath his head as he watched the clouds with his back upon the grassy hill he had been loitering on for hours.
Why did I even leave Japan?!?!
His mind shouted at him, berating him for leaving his motherland as he now started to miss the things he have left back in Miyako. "You had a house, four women who would gladly kneel down and kiss your feet, the salary of a general! What the hell was I thinking?!?!? URGH!!!", which was then followed by loud Japanese curses and angry grunts, rolling and flailing his arms like a mere child as he threw a complete tantrum on the gnoll.
"Baka!!!", Ryo screamed at the top of his lungs while he stood straight up, grabbing a handful of grass and throwing it in the air as he continued his tirade of foreign curses. "The pox on you Europe, the pox on your beautiful women with their eye colours the colour of emeralds and rubies! The pox on your stupid boring clouds!!!"
After a few more minutes, the sudden surge of anger had dissipated just as quickly as it took over him, the young swordsman left breathing hard as he stared at no particular direction, one hand clutching his side while the other settled itself upon the hilt of his sword "Sky Piercer". Tapping the handle, he looked down at the weapon, tucked very casually upon the sash of his trousers, and murmured, "Well at least I still have you Sky..."
It was all he said as he started to walk down the gnoll, once again resuming his aimless voyage throughout Europe, in hopes of finding the best warrior this Kingdom would offer in order to challenge him...or her, in a duel to the death.
I need to be the strongest..............I need to protect Japan....
It was the last thought that came in Ryosuke's mind before he started humming a lullaby, sung to him by his mother the night before he ran away from home...

(Prichati, India, outside the Hung'xia Buddhist Monastery)
"But Master Jin I am tiiiirrrrreeeeeeeedddddd...", moaned the girl, the child's mouth hungrily gasping for air as she slumped her lithe form against the massive remains of a pillar.
"Alright Ming, you can rest for 10 minutes and then we will go back to the monastery.", the young master replied with a gentle smile, ruffling the young girl's black curls. "Oh don't do that! Your hands are so rough master!", Ming complained with a pout, pushing of Jin's large hand as she leaned upon the rock. With a laugh he let go of a the girl, walking up upon a grassy ridge overlooking the sea. There Jin dropped his bo, sitting cross-leggedly near the edge of the ridge, starting his daily regime of meditation to clear his thoughts. He closed his eyes and clasped his fingers settled upon his lap, which he then proceeded with the customary humming of the Buddhist mantra...
I swear Jin...when I grow up I will murder everyone in China for this!
But Haren! You can't! You will be just like them!
He winced as that awful memory hit him like a bag of bricks, a memory of the day his childhood died...
Jin I will make them pay...
Not able to take it anymore, Jin opened his eyes, murmuring under his breath, "Oh Haren what have you done my friend?.......What have you become?............"
Then, shaking his head as if he was disappointed over something, he rose up, unable to proceed with his meditation anymore. Instead he walked back to his young pupil, tapping her gently upon the head with his stick to wake up the dozing child. He walked away after, leaving the girl to follow him hurriedly back into the monastery gates....

The first thing on Elsa's mind was work, that's all she ever did, but seeing how she traveled so much, made finding work tiresome and not worth dealing with. She was used to her job in Japan, but considering that we was eastward bound did not surprise her that she had to walk so far. Her beautiful tanned skin was a big tip off that she was Japanese, while when she spoke, it amazed them with how well she knew the English language. She had to be fluent in these languages to do her job. Knowing the date, time and written commands, was where she had learned most of her languages. It came in handy when traveling to other countries, but it was a rarity. Her long chestnut hair was hiding her long, Japanese style sword. While on her person, she had more then thirty different types of weapons, concealed of course. She was walking down the out, broken down roads. They were dirt roads, lined with crocked fences and tall hedges of grass. For the most part, she only knew that she was heading to Neo-America, and figured that she could have taken a shorter route by boat, though a small portion of her wanted to go sight seeing, and that's how she ended up in the middle of nowhere.
Elsa had turned to her trusty old map. It was old, yet still in tact. Pulling it open, she leaned against one of the only trees that lined the road. The parchment was of a Japanese style. It was personally made for her, and she would never leave anywhere without it. '...Well seems like I've taken a huge detour...' she muttered closing it back up and resting against the tree. '-sigh- At least I won't have to worry about highway men or thieves around these parts.' After a few minutes, she heard a loud assortment of cusses and curses. Elsa sat up from her bed of grass. 'Looks like I'm not the only one around here then...' steadily she got to her feet, dusting off her clothes, and turning to where the noise came from. Though the curses had been flung just a bit ago, they had stopped abruptly leaving Elsa to wonder where it had gone too. 'Oh well, not my problem.' she shrugged continuing to make her way east.

Ryo immediately heard the sound of footsteps, and judging by the impact and lightness of the sound it was a woman, not short but probably slim.
Ryo you dog! This is your day! Go charm that Europea-
His thoughts of finally having a chance of coming across a European woman was put on hold as he was left wide-eyed by the sight he just saw.
A Japanese? A Japanese woman?! I came to Europe for this?!?!
But he did find her attractive enough to catch his fancy, a huge grin in his lips as he casually shrugged.
Oh well, she's still pretty!
He then proceeded to dust off the dirt caking his body, trying to make himself as presentable as he can to the young lady about to pass his way, a welcoming smile in his lips as he hollered, "Konichiwa kawaii-kun! (cutie)"

"Scotland's so pretty, not as pretty as Miyako, but close."Maiu said to herself."The sky here is so blue.Aoi Sora."Maiu said as she looked up at the sky. "Can't wait to back to Japan though.I want to lay down on the tatami mats and sleep."Maiu said. She walked around for hours.Paying attention only to the beauty of the area."I miss my brothers. Why do they even have me out here anyway."Maiu said. She sighed and sat down on the green grass.Aoi sora.I miss Hiro.Maiu thought.

"Well hello there missy...", the traveller that passed Maiu by said, the middle-aged man carrying what seems to be a rather large sword wrapped in white cloth. "Can I sit there?", he pointed with the tip of his large weapon beside Maiu, only to sit right away beside her before she can even respond.
"It's so nice out here ain't it?", he said, lying down as he used the sword as a headrest. Then, taking a blade of grass, he started chewing the stalks as he turned his head to Maiu with a grin on his lips. "So...what brings you to jolly ole Scotland?"

Elsa cocked an eyebrow, unimpressed. "Oh, so your the one with the loud cussing mouth are we?" she said to the strange man whom she had stopped to examine. "hm..." she shrugged letting out a funny sigh. "Your out of your league buddie." she said crossing her arms to take another good look at him. "Let's see...you speak English right? Or do I have to speak Japanese for you?" it was in a sense, a mocking blow, but Elsa didn't care. "Come now, walk and talk with me, you might as well, seeing that there is no other people around." she shrugged, then stretched. "If not, I'll just go on my own." she waited a few minutes before starting off in the direction she had come from. 'Oh, this'll be fun, let's see if he follows like a little puppy.' she though to herself not bother to stop or wait up for the stranger. Elsa knew she would enjoy this, it would be the most fun she had had in a while. She wasn't moving very fast but just fast enough so that the stranger would have to run to catch up. 'Love sick womanizers, fun to watch, even more fun to see how far they'll go...' she chuckled to herself.

Stupid wench! What the hell does she think of me?! A desperate fool?
Ryosuke smirked as he watched her walk the opposite direction he was headed. "Such rude words coming from such a pretty mouth m'lady...", Ryo replied to the taunt, brushing away a lock of his long black hair as he continued, "Sadly beautiful I am headed the opposite direction of where you are going...maybe YOU should follow me instead...", which he finished off with a wink as he motioned Elsa to follow along his path.

Elsa shrugged. "Nawh, even though I'm heading the wrong way, I don't mind a detour, besides, it would be rude of me to allow you to turn down my offer then for me to accept yours. She had stopped walking, not bothering to turned. "And besides, I'm a fair lady, you tag along and you might just be rewarded-" she smiled "-but that all depends on how you act." her grin disappeared and she placed her hands on her hips. She turned around and shifted from one foot to the other. She shrugged again then turned around and walked off in her direction. "It's you're choice, walk by yourself or let me happily escort you to your destination."

Ryosuke laughed as he shook his head, settling his hand upon the hilt of his sword while he replied, "Alright then I shall let you tag along with me...I don't want you running into trouble alone anyways."
Hurrying up to by Elsa's side, Ryo grinned, "What brings you here in Scotland by the way? This is not a good place for a Japanese woman to be walking alone in you know..."

Elsa shrugged. "Business in the east I suppose. Though I am capable in protecting myself from thugs, highway men ect." she answered shrugging. "What is a man like you traveling alone here in the middle of nowhere, is what I would like to ask you." she wasn't all that interested, but she wouldn't mid listening to him drone on for a bit about why he was here in the first place. She rolled her eyes when he said 'Alright then I shall let you tag along with me...' technically he was the one tagging along with her. Of course, because he caught up to her, and she was the one leading the way, she made note of this, but said nothing.

Ryosuke paused as he contemplated if he should reveal his real mission or not, his left knuckles white as he gripped the hilt of his sword hard.
Should I tell her about who I really am?...
She's Japanese...she would know who I am...maybe she could even help me!
Then Ryo's normally grinning face became serious for a moment. "My name is Ryosuke Miura by the way, General of the 10th Japanese Imperial Legion. I'm here in order to avenge the death and murder of my master, Shishi-o Saito. He was murdered in his sleep and his corpse was defiled by a madman called the 'Black Knight'.....", then with a seething his he continued, "I will put that European's head on a pike for everyone in Japan to spit at........"
