My brother's friend (Mine as well) saw me playing Oblivion when he came over, and told me about his experiences playing Morrowind. He told me back when he was hella into it that he created a spell so strong (radius and damage sliders were maxed out) that when he went to Balmora, he used it and it killed everybody.
This inspired me to make my character a god. I'm thinking of making a spell to obliterate cities into...well....Oblivion xd
My first spell idea is going to be called Wrath of the Gods. It's gonna have maxed radius and damage, along with afflicting anybody within range with every type of elemental damage in the game. Then a spell that will make me levitate for a long time biggrin
But first, I need to unlock the Arcane University and get to a crazy high level so I can use the damn spells sad
...and get the money.
Have you guys ever had an idea as insane as this?

Yep....Nearly achieved it. Used a "Test" spell with uber high radius and damage, and my game froze >.>
Plus the spell had a cost of....over 100k i think...I dont remember.

I had a spell called Oblitoration it wasnt maxed out but it was decent, I could hit the ground in front of me when the gates were lowered in the arena and the target would just collapse and have a seizure until it is dead xd

if I remember correctly, even with the sliders maxed, a spell can only do so much. I once tried to make a Feather spell with maxed sliders. All it did was make the effect 120 and duration 100, i think. But I know that there is a much better Feather spell out there for me to buy.

Try blowing stuff up and watching everyone die. Oh, and by the way, is it possible to make a levitation spell? I went to the altar of spellmaking, and it had a very small list of things I could do. Do I need to be a higher rank in the Mages guild or what?

As far as I know, there is no spell for levitation. If you're worried about people finding you after the attack, consider invisibility. The perfect combination for standard fights is Summon [Whatever] 120 seconds, Invisibility 120 seconds. You have your summon fight your enemies and you can't be found to be damaged.

That's lame. In Morrowind you could make levitation spells. Oh well, your idea sounds fun. But instead of my summon, I'd just use the spell to kill everybody then go invis. That'd be nuts, even though People would still find me biggrin EDIT: Is there a paralyze effect you can add to your spells?

I think there's a paralyze spell. To be honest, I don't use much besides summons, invisibility, and healing, so I'm not sure if there is one. I'd love levitation. It's a shame they took it out.

Rules for spell makeing:
To make a spell you must have the following
a spell of the same effect The level needed to use the spelland money to pay for it. Also there is no point in makeing a crazy high powerful spell if your no where near the magicka needed to cast it(unless you have a computer verson... luckies..).
Yes there is a paralize effect. I suggest you join the DB to get it. I don't know of any mages guild members that sell one.
So take it from the uber mage there are limitations to spell makeing. If you have a Chamelion spell I suggest you make lots of them with the highest percent you can easily cast for a long time, nice way to get 100% and be able to do what ever you want without being found out. please take into account your magic effectiveness in your spell makeing.

Actually, I think I've been discovered a couple of times with 100% chameleon. That's why I use invisibility.

Well duh there's no point in making a spell that I can't use. That's why I guess what level I'll be able to use it at......At this rate it seems like level 200. I'm rolling on the 360 version, and I'm pretty sure I should be freaking out about my spell effectiveness when it's at 100%, shouldn't I? ...

Guardian1239 Actually, I think I've been discovered a couple of times with 100% chameleon. That's why I use invisibility. 100% chameleon IS invisiablity. and if you was detected then that means your magic effectiveness is low and you should take off your ammor or your sneak skill REALLY sucks and you were running. Oh and you magic effectiveness is allways 100% unless your wearing armor. Thats why mages wear robes and bound armor, dosn't effect magic effectivness more than 5% for the bound and the robes always give you 100% if thats all your wearing.

Yes levitation is no longer available in the game. For pretty good reasons too, if you could just levitate over a cities walls, what would the point of it being a seperate cell be? They might as well have just made it the one big cell, like Morrowind was. If you must have levitation, I'd suggest getting the computer version, and download mods to your hearts content.
Interestingly, I heard a snippet of conversation about this in the IC last time I was there. Two NPCs were conversing, and as I ran by them I heard "Shes been like that ever since the levitation act was passed." I guess the developers decided to give us an in-game reason as well, it's illegal! xd
