Aeris haters reasons for hating our beloved Aeris:
-For stealing Cloud away
-For wearing pink
-For being a damsel in distress
-For being mean
-For being insensitive
-For being clingy
And there are more reasons, but they are the general reasons.
For stealing Cloud away: No one has yet to claim Cloud...except Sephy and Zack. Plus, we all know that Aeris will always love Tifa. biggrin Aeris did flirt a lot with Cloud, but her main objective was to help him because she, like Tifa, noticed that he acted strange, as if something was wrong with him. Aeris was the first to try to help Cloud through his mental state. Though she did take the initiative and despite hurting Tifa, she had good intentions.
For wearing pink: Of course...this is ridiculous. xd In Crisis Core, like Lunar said, the reason why she wore pink was because Zack suggested it and she actually wore white in the beginning. The pink was also a way to show that she was different from the dreary world of FFVII, a sort of light in a place full of darkness. She wasn't fashionably conscious...she just wore what she liked (or Zack). biggrin
For being a damsel in distress: Come on, all stories have to have some sort of damsel in distress. It just so happened to be Aeris! Aeris is physically dependent on Cloud and even though she is weak, her personality is strong. She herself is headstrong and very forward, contrasting the shy and hesitant Tifa. And though Tifa is physically strong, she is very reserved.
For being mean: Yes, at times she is mean, such as the time she flirted with Cloud right in front of Tifa and wanted to go on a date with Cloud. The thing is, she can be a bit naive and most likely she didn't realize what she was doing to Tifa. However, Aeris' enduring qualities are her compassion for those around her and her courage and bravery. She is sympathetic to her comrades and tries to help them such as Maiden of the Planet when she spoke with Biggs, Wedge and Jessie. Aeris was only mean like twice or thrice, not enough to say that she's a b***h.
For being insensitive: That would go along with her naivety, but she was insensitive at one point when Barret's best friend just died. She outwardly jumped in front of Cloud and asked to go on a date (and Tifa ended up reprimanding her for it.) Still, Aeris didn't see anything wrong with it. Who knows...perhaps that was her way of cheering him up since after Tifa kinda freaked, she was like, "Oh he'll be fine." xd
For being clingy: Well for one....she is physically dependent on Cloud, plus she made him her bodyguard. biggrin Also, she tends to stick to him because she's intrigued by his odd behavior and wants to help him. Her clingyness also shows how much she wants to be with him.

Aerith's dad was a human, meaning, she's half Cetra!!! She can pass as human!

Interspecies.......hot. Even though Aerith's only half..xD... (By the way...I HAD TO XD IT NEEDED TO BE SAID!..... Man I'm spending FAR too much time with my guy friends for my sanity...or lack of. Hint hint...everytime something can be taken the wrong way we either say: That's what she/he said, hawt, kinky.....and don't even get me started on when we started playing in my pants while waiting for a friend before playing DnD O_O; )

Yeah, I suppose. n_n I look at it like Aerith can choose whether or not she can choose between being human and Cetra. Interspecies... meh, not all that interested in it. I find it very beautiful when they have to go through lots of trials, though.
Anyway. What do you mean, playing in your pants?!

I know that game though~ I was playing a "in bed" version with fortune cookies once, and I got "Familial relationship will be strengthened soon (...in bed)" Oh man, so bad rofl
And yeah. Even though Aeris is a (half) Cetra, she's still a humanoid creature... so it's aaawwwwright. <3 No squicks here. It's like Elf + Human relationship. ^_^
