Azima shifted and yawned, uncurling himself. He was asleep in his den, his and Roho's, and night was just falling over the pridelands. He grunted and whined slightly, he could no longer feel the warmth of his big mate's body and figured the other male had gone out to do whatever needed to be done.
He yawned again and stretched, slinking out of the small sized den. He blinked sleep from his eyes as his gaze moved toward the moon. crescent in shape tonight, something he felt weary about. He liked full moons and half moons but the other phases made him feel a bit weird, he wasn't sure why though.
He smiled to himself and shook his head, he was just being silly.
He moved through the lands in a slow, purposeful gait. He was headed for the watering hole, he was thirsty and figured he'd get that out of the way before seeing if there was anything worth doing tonight.

As it were, a certain bright crimson adult was quietly sipping the cool water of one of the Pridelands many waterholes. With her paws partially submerged in water no more than a couple inches deep, she allowed her body to begin a gentle cool down. How she had managed to cross borders from roguelands to one of a pride was a mystery to her, but at least she wasn't in a land with hostile creatures. Or so she had to hope that.

As Azima went along a slow scent drifted into his nostrils. His nose twitched and something stirred in his memory but he refused to think about it; thus it was nothing. His tail flicked and he grinned and let out a loud, happy sigh as he reached the watering hole.
And then stopped completely.
His amazingly blue eyes widened far as his gaze landed on an exact replica of himself; given that it was female and not male. He opened his mouth a few times to demand something, anything...
What the hell was she doing here? "Keaira?" He asked, faintly.

'Keaira' yes...that name sounded familiar. Oh, of course, hers. It had been a while since she had given out her name, so why this...this stranger knew it was a mystery to her. Her ice blue eyes narrowed slightly, the fur on her neck raising as she turned to face the worst. In which this case, was really not too bad, except that she was looking at herself with a big black mane instead of the slight forlock the rogues happened to be placed with.
Without realizing that her twin was standing behind her, she blinked a half blink, mildly replying with "Yes?"

He blinked. What the hell with the 'yes'! So calm about this... they hadn't seen each other in ages... hell, Azima liked it that way. He frowned lightly though because he was slightly disappointed at her response, not knowing why.
"What are you doing here?" He sounded angry.

"Drinking." Well, wasn't she just captain obvious, or...perhaps him, for being captain oblivious. The fur on her neck had begun to settle slightly as she took her eyes of the male to drink some more. When she had finished, she turned again towards teh twin, blinking a few times as if in realization. "You know." She said, looking towards the water at her own reflection, then back to the other. "You look familiar." Perhaps she had passed in along the way in the Kusini lands, or Southlands, or whatever other territories she had happened to stumble through. Or, there was that possibility they were cubs in the same land. After all, there was a big baby boom after the queen had died many many moons ago.
But that last statement was highly doubtful. Many lions, and what of the possibilities of her actually seeing a cubmate, let alone litter mate.

He frowned and didn't think he liked this very much. Was she ignoring him because of how mean he'd been to her or was she really that stupid? He took his time in answering as he moved to the water's edge and leaned down to drink, stopping a moment to stare at his reflection. She was a moron!
"You've really forgotten me Keaira?" He frowned and swirled a paw in the water. To be honest he was hurt by this, he'd long given up 'twins are evil' when he stopped seeing her around. but to expect something like this was beyond him...
"I'm your twin dummy... and I mean what are you doing in the pridelands, why aren't you at home in the Kusini'Mwezi?"

"No, I haven't" Perhaps when she said this, the male's thoughts would perk up. "I just can't remember where I've seen or met you before." Before he spoke again, the fact dawned on her. "Oh! You must have been that cub....nah nevermind." She said curtly, her blue eyes staring into those of his. The exact same orbs of herself.
"Twin?" She scoffed. Just because they looked alike didn't mean anything. "I don't have a twin." She snorted. If she did, she really didn't remember. After all, didn't her brothers and sisters not want to play with her. Didn't one of them avoid her at all costs? Now...who was that...Why couldn't she place her paw on the face darnit.
"Kusini lands? Just...thought I would take a walk it all." She smiled somewhat. How did he know she was from teh Kusini lands though. This wasn't her brother. She knew it! He must have been a spy. "What is your name, since you seemed to have known mine already." Kea said shortly, with a little leer.

His heart was pounding and he wondered why he felt so terrible about this. This was what he wanted, was it not? He didn't want her existing in his world so why should she exist in his? But he was completely puzzled...
So the tables had turned, in a sense. Azima had grown up, but so had Kea. She either wasn't taking his s**t or had forgotten him... none of his other siblings had forgotten him... even if he had treated them poorly.
It's not like he had some bond with his twin as did Damu and Haba... so why did his heart hurt so much?
But wait... now he could make things right! Maybe... he'd learned a lot from Roho.. the big dummy and how he loved his family so much... Azima had never felt that way about his own family but... he could try, right? He glanced back at his copy and then stared at the water.
He couldn't get over it. She didn't know him..
"Azima." He said dully. Well, he'd gotten what he asked for.

"Well, Azimi!" Not realizing she got the name wrong, she gave a big pearly smile "Do you live here? Here being...." She looked at the large rock structure just beyond the watering hole. "...." her words were at a lost. "Big rock place?" She came up with. Sure, she had heard of the pridelands, but to be in them? Could she possibly have traveled that far from her home pride to this one by mere fate or luck of her feet? Chances were slim, but there still.

He grunted and stood, getting angry. Really! Couldn't even get his name right.. he couldn't do this, it was too much! Why bother?
"Azima you moron... and this is the pridelands! Honestly... I didn't think my twin was such and idiot but apparently you've dumbed down. I'm going." He sneered, stalking past her.

Oh no he didn't just say that to her. "What was that?" She growled, hunching on her haunches as if to attack the other male for his rude behavior to her. "You did /not/ just call me an idiot." ...Apparently Kea didn't like to be insulted. "Get back here you good for nothing oaf." She hissed. So much for a pleasant conversations wasn't it?
"Hmph." After her passed her. "I guess all 'twins'" she started, sarcastically emphasizing twins, "are evil and rude." The evil should have triggered it, even if Kea didn't know what Azima would think of it.

He faltered and kept himself from glancing back. Was she joking? Messing with him? He groaned and glanced back, frowning deeply. "I did act.." His words died as she said her second set of words.
His memories flashed of when he was a cub, when he'd torment her and call her all sorts of names... tell her to leave him alone. She was evil.. she had stolen something precious from him...
He opened his mouth but he shut it again. He was dumbfounded. "I'm not the same as back then Keaira.." He said defensively, but even he knew it was stupid... "Just shut up!" He finally spat, looking away but not moving from his spot. He felt like...
such and a**.

Why was he yelling at her? When his shouts completed, her ears seemed to flicker downward. One thing she disliked the most was being yelled at. Memories faded into a plain sight, reminicing her childhood, but there the spot where Azima would be in every image would be a total void. Her other siblings, the twins, the non twins were plain as daylight in the afternoon, but why hadn't Azima appeared in it yet?
"Oh kay.." she said quietly after. Confrontations were bad. And to make a lion like him, whom looked like her, just felt so...awkward. "Didn't mean to be a bother." The twin female said, shifting her weight as she began to move off.

He blinked, why wasn't she getting angry back at him? He glanced back... where was she going! He whirled around and moved after her. "Kea! Kea you can't really have forgotten me! Please.." He sounded hurt, confused.. still angry with her.
This was terrible.. how could he have wanted this?
"Please I know I was bad... I've been such a bad brother.. don't.." He didn't even know what he was saying, he felt like a fool. "Stop!"
