Just kidding on the title, there.
But, as staunch protectors of the Comic Discussion forum, we often have to attack the fanboys and girls of anime who slither in. The truth, though, is that we too, are anime lovers-we're just not total idiots.
I want to know which animes interest the people in Kapow! and why.
I myself own all three seasons of the Slayers on DVD, as well as most of the Lupin the 3rd stuff that's available, plus several lovely fansubs I got a few years back. I'm working on collecting Fushigi Yugi on DVD and will be buying the Escaflowne set after Christmas.
Blah. Last night I went to Suncoast in the Mall of America to get my LOTR: ROTK DVD, and there they were in person....LIVE ACTION INUYASHA FANGIRLS. Blathering about spending all their future Christmas money on "Inu 27 and 28!!!!11!"
Yes, I could practically hear them saying "!1!".
Lucky thing I was wearing my Flash shirt and remembered that superheroes don't kick the butts of the mentally infirm! xd
But, seriously. Which animes are Kapow!ians favorites?!

It's all about the action baybee. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex would have to be my favourite series of all time, yay for kickass cyborgs, political intrigue, and AI tanks that talk like schoolgirls. xd

I don't have a favorite genre... but I do prefer action-based (whether there's drama or comedy tossed in) anime. My favorite series are Initial D (cars go fast down mountains!), Noir (Hitwomen for hire!), Elfen Lied (People go *splat*), Dragon Ball/DBZ (w00t for fighting), and Excel Saga (craaaziness!).
Of course, I like other shows as well, but those are the first ones that come to mind.

My genre would have to be romance. I'm not so much into the anime as I am in reading manga though. Course something like Excel Saga? You have to see it. Reading it just isn't the same.
And oh yes. I have seen the Inu fan girls at the Mega Mall. Southdale too. Quite frightening they are. What's even worse? When I go to either place with "the guys" and they have to act like a bunch of fanboys over the anime chicks. rolleyes sweatdrop The store workers look at me and I just shrug. I'm going to shut up and go away now. Gotta go to the MoA and pick up my RotK.
