He had followed after his friend as she lead him in the search for her mother or, more specifically he had discovered, a patch of clover that her mother might be munching on. "You don't think it is too late, do you?" He knew that some were creatures of night while others prefered the day and he had never thought to ask which Kalosyni and her family might be.

"It shouldn't be. She should still be about somewhere" Her mother was generally awake long enough to watch the sunset. She should have hopefully settled down somewhere but she should be findable none the less.
She had settled herself down somewhere with a nice patch of clover and some blackberries that were trying to grow despite the frost. It was a nice sugary treat to have come across while wandering about the forest that she and her family called home

"As long as you know where you were going... I would hate to think that we had just passed the same tree three times now without good reason." He smirked teasingly as he brushed his side against hers before stepping back so that he could follow her through a narrow part of the path they'd been trailing along.

"We have not." She huffed at him as she nudged aside a few low straggling pieces of moss. "We're going in a line, not a circle." She knew the path well enough to know what her mother was probably somewhere along it. "Oh!" She brightened up as she saw a familiar form in a near by clearing.
She heard voices and picked herself up from where she'd been napping to see what was coming to see her this time. "Kalo." She smiled as she saw one of her daughters coming with ... with someone in tow.

"We may as well be... The trees are all starting to look the same." He smirked as he caught up a step to nudge her hind flank, straightening out only when he heard the tone in her voice followed by a name. If it was her mother that they'd stumbled upon he had, potentially, just made an idiot of himself.

"I told you we weren't going in circles." She turned and smiled at him before trotting over to nuzzle her mother. "Hello mum ... i brought a friend." She had told her mother about Acheron before but she hadn't thought she'd be bringing him by
She smiled at the stallion and bowed her head in greeding quickly. "The trees all do start to look the same unless you are used to it."

He stood back for a moment, bowing his head politely in return. His wings twittered; the only sign of his nervousness besides, perhaps, how quiet he'd quickly become. Then with a slight smirk he returned to himself, deep, dark eyes drifting towards his friend. "Having now seen your mother I still stick with my previous statement... As lovely as she is and as much of her as I now see in you, I still believe that it is the sunset, and not your mother, that is caught in your mane."

She laughed softly and nudged her daughter's shoulder. "She was born at dusk you know. Did she tell you that?" It had been nice to her for the little ones to be born as the sun was setting. It was as if a part of her life had closed when they were born and the next morning dawned on a new age ofr her.
"Mum!" She hadn't wanted her mother to give Acheron any ideas and most certainly not to agree with him.

"No, she didn't... But it makes perfect sense." He nodded slowly as he watched Kalosyni for a moment longer before his eyes returned to her mother. "Perhaps now she will have to agree with me on at least that one thing..."

"I will not." She huffed slightly and tossed her head. "I didn't get them from the sun. I got them from mum." Her mother had a feather on her leg and she knew that's where she'd gotten her hair streaks and her sister had gotten her colorful stripes.
"She always was stubborn." Even though Kalo was probably the sweetest of her daughters she was the one with the hardest head.

"Oops! See what you did. Started talking about my mane and you made me forget all about my manners." She took a step back closer to Acheron as she looked at her mother. "Acheron, this is my mother. Mum, Acheron."
She bowed her head slightly. "Eirini. It's wonderful to make your aquantiance."

If talking about her mane was a good way of distracting her he would have to remember to do so more often.
He bowed his head in return to her mother. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Eirini. I am glad that we were able to find you... Kalosyni has already met a good half of my family. I thought it was only fair that we track down hers." There was a trace of teasing in his voice, a smile on his lips.

"My but you've been a busy little girl." She laughed at her daughter softly. She had known that Kalosyni had been meeting others but she hadn't known that it had been mostly one family.
"I thought you would be the easiest to find since you don't wander far like the rest of them." It was always trouble tracking down her sisters and her dad.

"You have brought a source of warmth and laughter into the world. As much as she has made me smile she has also made my sister smile... And my mother." He felt so foolish rambling on like this but, for once, he couldn't help himself. It didn't occur to him that he hadn't really said anything like this to Kalosyni yet... Even if he was now saying it in front of her mother.
