It was early, very early in the morning. Cheshi had sneaked away from the den at dawn in hopes of avoiding the pressure that might come from facing her family. They were supportive, but she felt much more pressure when they were with her.. there was no one to disappoint if she was by herself, though it was much scarier on her own. At least it didn't seem like the whole of the Pridelands was awake this early, hopefully she might avoid running into anything too scary.
Slowly and cautiously, she hopped along a path leading towards the waterhole. It seemed like that was one place she was comfortable going, at least she knew the way to and from it, and she knew some safe hiding places nearby..

Chafi had done something very odd for her: she'd stayed up the entire night. Though plenty of hares were nocturnal, she wasn't usually one of them, and normally slept in the den the entire night through and was just waking up around now. Last night, though, the Pridelands had been so peaceful. She had found herself just unable to leave it and go to sleep. Now, however, with dawn quickly approaching, she was curled up in a comfortable ball next to the water hole.
She wasn't asleep, just resting. She wouldn't sleep until she got back to her little den, anyway. It just wasn't safe to let your gaurd down like that. It wasn't that she was paranoid out here, it was just that she knew what was at risk. Either way, she'd have to ge tback to the den very soon. She was starting to get extremely spacey.

The morning was quiet, and Cheshi was happy it was that way. Or, she hoped it was as quiet as she thought because that meant no one was really around.. but sometimes, predators would be sneaky and could be quiet. But no- no! She pushed the thought from her mind, not wanting to stress herself out. She had a good view of the area around her right now, she would see something.. and Memetuka had said that the lions here would not harm her. And if they tried, simply try to explain the situation to them.
With that in mind, she carefully hopped up to the water hole and stared down at her reflection. She did not notice any nearby nappers.

Her large ears caught hold of the oncoming hare long before her nose could pick up any scent. Little things like that interested Chafi for some reason. She peaked open an eye and watched the surrounding area, waiting to decide if she needed to head out or not. When the completely white hare came along, Chafi not only decided she wanted to stay, she opened both eyes and lifted her head. It was ironic that the little black kit she had met had mentioned a pure white mother, and here was another one! Of course, Chaf didn't think they were the same hare. According to Mnyama, her mother rarely left the den.
The green female layed there for a few moments, just watching. It wasn't long, though, before she felt the need to say something. Even if she was groggy, she couldn't really help but talk to new critters she met. "Hey over there!" She slowly got herself up into a sitting position and tilted her head a little. "Nice morning, isn't it?" Very generic, but it was something to talk about at least.

Cheshi didn't notice a thing, despite her intense paranoia, until Chafi spoke up- calling out happily to her. Immediately, the hare froze and had to fight the instinct to dart away. She looked around until she spotted the bright colored hare sitting up, talking about the morning.
"H-hello," she stammered, looking relieved that it was only another hare, "Y-es, it is.."

Chafi was too out of it to notice the stammering. She grinned and hopped on over towards the other hare and looked at the water hole as if admiring it. Really, she was just spacing out. It wasn't often that she was this much of an airhead, but after being out all night, she just couldn't keep her attention on anything for too long.
"Mmm. I like day. It's better than night." Her eyes glazed over a bit, but she was able to refocus them on he white hare. "What 'bout you?" It could've been obvious, since this hare had come out at the beginning of the day and all, but her logic was a bit off. Plus, Chaf had justn spent an entire night exploring. So, for all she knew, this hare was doing the same thing with the day. "If you like night better, I suggest getting some sleep." She looked at Cheshi with drowzy eyes and nodded firmly.

Cheshi stared at the green hare; she was clearly very, very tired. She looked tired, she rambled like she was tired, overall she just did not seem quite ready for a conversation. But, at least she didn't seem to notice how twitchy Cheshi was being. That was a plus, it made Cheshi feel a bit more comfortable.
"I like daytime, too" Cheshi replied quietly with a nod, "I- I just got up, I don't need anymore sleep. You look tired, though.."

Chaf didn't know she had been acting so tired. Her eyes managed to widen, but because her lids had already been drooping, the effect was simply eyes opened to a normal amount. "I was up all night." Her voice was a little flat as she said it, nearly emotionless. If she really thought about it, being up all night had been a pretty awful idea. She had enjoyed it enough, but now her whole sleeping pattern was thrown out the window and she'd be out all day. What a bummer.
"So... what brings you to this... water hole." She was going to say something more poetic or artsy, but it just wasn't happening. "Oh! Gosh. I'm Chafi. Sorry, it just slipped my mind and all. Nice to meet you." She was shocked she had yet to introduce herself, since normally she did that first thing. It was more to get her name out to the general hare population than anything else, since she had a little plan hatching in her mind. For the moment, though, she was incapable of giving it much though, since most of the things she thought about either jumbled together or wisped away.

"Oh," Cheshi muttered, staring at the bright green hare curiously when she admitted to being up all night. It wasn't something Cheshi often did, she'd often lost a lot of sleep in the night when she used to live on her own after her mother had be caught by that bird.. but it hadn't been severe since meeting Sungura. "Nothing's wrong, is it?"
The Albino hare started when she was very suddenly reminded that they hadn't exactly introduced themselves.
"I'm Cheshi," she introduced herself sheepishly, "It's nice to meet you, Chafi."
