I don't know if anyone has a use for this, or how good it may be, but I was poking around the net today and found a page that translates romaji to hiragana and katakana as you type.

Let me know if it works for you...I tested it a little and found that you can type in the romaji and then copy the resulting hiragana or katakana and paste it into a web browser without needing additional software or enabling anything with unicode.

Now if I could only find something online to translate romaji to english and english to romaji then I'd be set. Any ideas?

try this online translator: Suteki.nu

or download the offline Translator Wakan.

this is the best tool i could find for my studies.
including a huge amount of kanji and vocabulary lists.
constantly evolving through new plug-ins or dictionaries.

tell me, what you think about it.
