Shuri eyed the grape jelly jar with frustration. It simply wouldn't budge. Who would have a peanut butter sandwhich without jelly? Crazy, yes. She wisked around the kitchen floor, shuffling through drawers to find the perfect tool to save her lunch. Alas, with no luck, she sighed, hoping the day would have been smoother. Since she's woken up, there's been trouble. First the soap, then the ball and now a jar of jelly?! She sighed, but remained calm as usual. She grabbed the jar once more and walked over to the sink, about to try the oldest rule in the book.

Tara stomped into the pound and sat down on the nearest couch; irritated by the troubles that were currently going no in her home she was in a foul mood, one of the foulest she had ever remembered being in... It was all that stupid fox's fault for causing the mess. She took a few deep breaths to calm herself; it would do no good to snap at a stranger over this... She stood and straighted her dress, looking around for any signs of anyone else around. It had been quite some time since she had been here.

Shuri's finely tuned ears quickly picked up blunt footsteps back in the main room. She set down the stubborn jar and curiously walked over to the doorway. Softly, of course. Peering into the room, her eyes widened. "Tara?.." she couldn't believe that name escaped her lips. She hasn't seen her beloved daughter since she was a kitten.

Tara had heard the woman's voice and turned to look at her; she was familiar but not familiar at the same time; she stepped closer to get a better look, but no name came to her mind for the face. "Um, hello, ... how do you know me?" She managed to ask after a moment of deliberation of whether or not she should turn and walk away or not.

Shuri's face flinched. Inside she was highly disappointed, but then not surprised. Of course her current family wouldn't have told her about her real parents, it seems. She remained calm and gave her daughter a confident smile. "I'm..your mother, dear." she managed to speak. Although her words were mellow and softly spoken, she was..troubled.

"M-mother?" Tara gasped eyeing the woman with a wary look; she had never expected to meet up with her real mother every in her life again, those who lived with different families were unfortunaly separated that away.

Shuri silently sighed in relief. It wasn't too hard, now was it?
She quickly nodded and continued. "Yes, i'm your mother..Tara. I'm so sorry we couldn't meet much earlier, but fate has her ways you know."

"I never though I would see my parents... but I'm glad that I've ran into you, maybe that bad situation did produce something good." Tara laughed softly, not wanting to believe that the woman was lying, why would she? This was her mother.

Shuri instantly felt a millon times better inside. She was quickly warming up to her daughter. Her lips curved into a smile and she gently nodded, her tail wisking to and fro in delight. "We have so much to catch up on, Tara! Please, do tell me about about yourself." She managed to spill out through mixed emotions, eagerly motioning her her hand to the nearby couch.

"Well, there's not much... I run a household for my adopter and I've been told I'm a bit of an overbearing 'mother'" She laughed remembering how many time she had been told that.

Shuri beamed with amusement. "Really? Do you have children of your own?" it was a question she was all too curious about. Shuri had always dreamed of being a loving grandmother..

"Well, they're not my own but I consider them to be my own, especially my dear little Fate... but I've heard there have been plans for me to have children lately." Tara answered with a smile; she didn't care for whatever mate they were going to suggest as she just wanted him for the children... though, that was a little negative.

Shuri nodded slowly, ears perking at the name 'Fate'. "..Fate? I've heard about him. Radius seems to bring him up now and again. I didn't know you cared for him. How wonderful!"

"Ah... Does Radius happen to be Kenji's father?" Tara was a bit irritated with Kenji and anything to do with Kenji... well, not to lie she hated Kenji for the mess he had caused in her household but she would keep that to herself.

Shuri warmly smiled. "Yes, yes he is. He was always skeptical in Kenji's choice for mates, even now. I've recently heard he has a thing for Fate's brother now, no?"
