mrgreen Back in the 70's I joined the Navy and when in bootcamp in Orlando, I was part of a Drill Company, that was the days where Navy Women were WAVES vice WINS, and We didn't carry rifles, our performance was basically marching and foot manuveurs...ever since being part of that I have always loved marching bands, but to my point, when in boot camp We performed in the Disney parade, at Disney world .it was really Kewl of course I was the RCPO of the drill company as well as the company comparable to the Drum Major. But later on my daughter in the 90's was in marching band in the guard, she refused to march with her flute again, but long story short she also marched in the parard at Disney world...so talk about history repeating itself....WOW* Thanks for letting me share!

My band did march in disney world, the year before I made it to marching band. It like, sucked so bad. After that, our band director went all wishy-washy on us and didn't even try to teach us jack. So now I've been in band for four years and know about as much as a novice. So sad.
