Crunch had been doing more sweeps over the border, especially after he found that poor femme crying just beyond his marked borders. Although, he was getting antsy, it had been several days since the meeting in the unclaimed territory with Twist and Wazaam, but still he hadn't seen or even caught the scent of Alas yet.
Twist wasn't a fool and Crunch knew very well that, but he had blocked everything from his mind and had reverted back to being an intellegent, but defensive wolf during that whole meeting. Without even realizing it, the large blue male began to pace back and forth between two trees.
However, in the location that he was, this was a place that he normally let Musketeer walk. Where had his good natured, silver cousin gone to? Alas had mentioned that Musketeer had got shot for a lone femme, that didn't surprise the large alpha though. Crunch respected Musketeer for his will to help another even outside of the pack.
Crunch stopped his pacing and furrowed his brows together. It was really quiet on these side of the territory, that made the alpha wonder, though he wasn't about to do more then continue his patrol for this time. Even the prey animals seemed to be anywhere but this little part of the border.
"Musket, must be hunting here for that femme as well," Crunch thought outloud with a slight shrug.

Musketeer headed back to his usual patrol spot within the packlands with a heavy heart. Necrala was furious, he had lost a pup, seen the lifeless small thing and felt guilty for it. Alas had looked at him as if it were his fault, and in a way perhaps it was. If he had only convinced Necrala to stay safe and warm within the pack maybe...
A soft shudder passed through his body, but at the end Alas had told him he wasn't to blame and in a way he saw in her soft blue eyes she felt responsible as well. Didn't Crunch's pink female know she couldn't raise the dead? Still he had left his little family for fear that Necrala would be cruel or drastic. Now he faced the prospect of having to convince her to come to the pack...or take the pups from her?
How could he tear his children away from their mother? How could he leave his children in that cold den with a mother who had let them drop from her like worthless stones? Didn't she feel anything for them? Anything tender?
He halted and looked up surprised that he had wandered into the packs lands without realizing it, and...Crunch was not far off, he could see the large dark alpha in the spot he normally patrolled from. The spot he had heard Alas call him from, when his children had been born.

Crunch heard the soft padding of paws on the dead ground, looking back with his dark blue eyes, the alpha spotted the silver male with ease. Though instantly, warning bells sounded in the large male's mind and head mental cringed, Don't let it be like Shelby, he silently prayed to something higher then any natural creature.
"Cousin, what's wrong?" Crunch questioned, not wanting to mention that Musketeer's face was very long and the poor lad looked like he hadn't slept in weeks. Something that the alpha could actually sympathize with.
That was when the faint scents met the black nose at the end of Crunch's face, death and life. Something had happened, familiar scents, but then again Crunch didn't want to assume anything right away.

Musketeer tipped his head respectfully towards his cousin and alpha and tried to brace himself and take on the stronger front once more. He had done well in keeping his emotions and thoughts of Necrala buried, but now...he couldn't keep this from his alpha especially when he needed the help.
"Nothing ails me Crunch...my troubles stem from..." He took a deep breath shuddering and deciding to try and explain differently.
"I've seen your pink healer...she...she helped me...helped my...helped a female...named Necrala to give birth...not far from here..." He tried to keep his voice from shaking.
"Three pups...they need..." Musketeer trailed off uncertain what exactly it was his pups needed. Their mothers nourishment, proper warmth, love, family.

Turning around to face Musketeer, Crunch had on his alpha face, the one that showed no emotion, though he was already throughly confused. Ears not knowing where to go or what to do, they flickered about like insane seaweed.
"Breath, Musketeer," Crunch encouraged at the sight of his cousin fighting with words. Ones like Musketeer, Butterfinger and Gracia the alpha thought shouldn't have to worry about pain, they were good souls and deserved good things, but it seemed like his cousin wasn't being graced.
Listening very closely to the words, Crunch made out something about Alas helping a... female in need. Necrala, wait, that name, it was Musketeer's loner that he got shot for.
Seeing the state that the silver male was in, Crunch didn't mention Necrala, but three pups? "Musketeer, what about the three pups?" His brow furrowing together, but then taking a swing out on the high branch here, the alpha decided to try this sentence.
"Would you want them to join the pack?" His voice soft, no need to insult Musketeer, but he wasn't sure at all what his cousin was getting at.

Deep breath after deep breath Musketeer was finally able to stop his voice and body from shaking, he pulled from the calm strength his cousin offered. A slow nod was all he could manage at Crunch's offer. He wanted his pups safe with the pack, with family and love, but he wanted more. He wanted Necrala with them, a family with her, but he had seen that he could not have everything.
Slowly he managed to form steady words. "I want MY pups in MY pack with me Crunch, but I don't want to have to seperate them from their mother. I don't know how she feels about them, but I know she seemes to loathe me now, and she would never join the pack willingly." He took a deep breath and frowned looking to Crunch as alpha, as his leader. "What should I do?"

Watching his fellow packmate, kinman, and maybe one day a friend, Crunch offered his silent strength to Musketeer. Watching the silver male do as instructed the large blue alpha offered the other time in which to bring together his words to speak.
Finally when the good hunter and patroller spoke again, Crunch took to understanding the scents on his cousin's pelt. So he did have pups, though why was the ... oh, that's why.
"She doesn't like to be close to others?" Should have figured, but now Musketeer was asking him what he should do. "Musketeer, you're family. Your pups are family just as well. My pack is based in family and our ties, some we need to strengthen more then others, but still a family affair all in all. Even with my word trumping everything, but that is only when the well being of everyone is compromised."
Crunch started, "As for your pups, bring them into the family circle. If Necrala ever wants to come, she has your heart like Alas has mine, I will not close my borders to her. She just has to come around on her own. Give her time, hopefully she will come around sooner then you expect, but if the pups, any of them, seem to be endangered then do what your heart ails you to."

Musketeer listened carefully to Crunch's words and nodded softly he couldn't explain why but Necrala hated packs. As Crunch told him to bring the pups he felt relieved, but still he didn't know how he could take them from Necrala.
"Crunch...I...I don't want to hurt her...Will the pups be alright, away from her?" He paced along the line of trees his tail stiff with his concern. He would give her a few days to come around, then if she refused...he would take the pups. They deserved the care that their family could provide them.
He still remembered the soft thump and whines of his children as Necrala had stood to growl at him and let her own children drop to the ground like so much rubbish. He turned to Crunch his eyes filled with pain. "One was dead..." He spoke softly needing to share his pain with another, he knew at least his cousin would hear him, even if Necrala hadn't.

Keeping a steady eye on Musketeer, Crunch could hear logic coming from even the pained male before him. "The pups will need the care of atleast her milk for a bit, the only other thought that processes through my mind is if they're taken too soon. We would need to find you a surrogate until their eyes open. Which would be hard." The alpha explained, thinking of anything to help his cousin.
"I say give her time until then, if she doesn't care for them for at least two days, I'll go with you to bring back your pups. That way she is given a chance to care for them, show them some love, or if worst comes to worst we'll pull them out before it's too late for them all." Crunch hated the alternate ideas he brought up, but he wanted to let Musketeer know he wasn't alone at all in this.
When the pain filled eyes turned towards him though, the blue male raised his red brows. One was dead. That was horrible news. Stepping forward and wrapping his thick neck around his cousin's in a odd wolfish hug, tail dipping down. Crunch wasn't standing before his kinsman as his alpha, but as a friend and family now.
"I'm sorry to hear that, Musk. How many are still alive though?" He questioned, not trying to pull one over on his cousin, or change the subject, but trying to make the silver male realize that there were others still alive and needing the love of someone.

Musketeer gently pressed against his cousin for a long moment before slowly moving back to sit respecting that Crunch was his alpha. He had only needed to know that someone else cared. He inhaled deeply "Three, two girls and a boy...one of them seems weaker then the rest but that was all I could tell..."
He gave a soft smile remembering the sight of his pups, they were so obviously his and necralas there was no denying it. He wondered if they would share their mothers fathomless eyes, obviously they would be stubborn like her, like him.
"Thank you Crunch your help means the world to me, I don't want to hurt Necrala, but..." He frowned and gazed in the direction her den lay. "I wish she would see reason, perhaps she will." He gave a soft nod.

"Two girls and a boy, congrats on that, even if one is weak. If they make it through the night they'll make it to adulthood. Gracia wasn't healthy as a pup, but she has came to be a firecracker at times, she still has soft bones." Crunch felt his cousin should hear atleast something that would be benifactory for his sick offspring.
With a soft smile and a modest shrug, the alpha replied, "I'm glad I could help with something. As for Necrala, if she is as you say she is, I don't think you can hurt her easily." In all honesty, Crunch seemed to be hearing about Twix, up to the point of not knowing if the female would care for the pups. The way Twix was, Crunch figured Twix would have her pups be little soldiers, twas she to have any.

Musketeer nodded softly at his cousins words comforted by them, after all Gracia was healthy and well and sweet tempered. Gracia would help him with his children he knew it, he was glad to have such a helpful range of cousins. Musketeer slowly relaxed thinking of his family, and they would accept his children and help them.
They need never feel as if they lacked, even if he did cause them to be motherless...but something in him wouldn't let that happen. Even if Musketeer had to take them to visit her he wouldn't let his children be without their mother. He didn't want Necrala without her children.
"Thank You...I know with the family to help all will be well..." He smiled softly and playfully nudged his cousin. "Your little pink healer seems well, a bit flustered...I'm sure she misses you eh?" He wondered if Necrala would ever find herself missing him and brushed the thought away, at least he knew love existed.

Crunch nodded to his cousin and tried, but just couldn't seem to make himself understand exactly what his cousin was going through. After all Crunch knew Alas was going to be apart of the family one day, and for some reason, the alpha felt soon, but still he just couldn't understand the loving another that couldn't love him back.
"That is the hope at least cousin, now let's just hope they aren't stubborn as Snickers, other wise they will be alot of work. You're a good wolf, Cousin, they will be well and healthy, and most importantly loved by many."
The alpha, however, froze, Alas had been around. She was well, but flustered? "Flustered about..." he figured the pup, "nevermind." Crunch finished off and turned to look the direction Musketeers had just came from. "Is she sticking with Necrala to keep an eye on your pups?"

Musketeer chuckled at his cousins words "Like Snickers? I don't think so..." He would hate to have to pull his children away from their own reflections. "I know the pack will love them...it's good to have such a family." He smiled for a moment before looking at his cousin and shaking his head with a frown.
"No...I wish she did stay with Necrala, but she was in a foul mood and Alas said it would be better to leave her lest she become anymore aggitated." He sighed. "I believe she went back towards her pack, she looked like she was headed here...I thought she would come, but I'm sure her own pack told her to stick around."

Crunch laughed, "Well, if anything, there is your worst case scenario." His tail raising again with the happy knowledge that there was peace in this pack, slavation as well.
Although, seeing the frown and shaking of Musketeer's head, Crunch didn't like the words to follow. She hadn't stayed, well if the femme had been aggrivated probably was the best, but then again it saddened him not to see her warm blue eyes. She had left before the meeting had commenced, but that was good. Right?
Shaking his head Crunch nodded in agreement, "Most likely, her alpha doesn't seem very keen on Alas, but then again she seemed to know that Alas' name also pressed a button for Twix. I don't know what that one is up too, but no good is all I can smell."
